  • The list is (obviously) subjective, just wanted to show my personal top 10 favorite knockouts from Muay Thai. Not orchestrated by the importance of match ups or KO's against elite opponents but rather knockouts that please the eyes most! These are just my favorites, everyone has their own. Feel free to commentate your favorite ones as well, I am always happy to see new ones that I haven't seen yet myself

As with most martial arts they keep the fighting inside the ring and are nice people outside not looking for trouble. There are exceptions for sure but in general they don't seek out a street fight. I met a group of Muay Thai fighters in Koh Samui last year, all a friendly bunch of people. Old and young. But this stuff is brutal man, for that reason I'm glad i sticked with Karate :p

Spinning back kick to the jaw is a very dangerous hit to receive. Here in Thailand we have an old saying ‘Do not use the deadly arts for sports’. For those of you that didn’t know The sport MT we teach flang is not the true MT that kick is one of the deadly arts traditional ‘finish him moves’ along with spinning elbow and jumping monkey elbow (skull hit). We only use if we must, that’s how it’s meant to be used only for emegency situation it is acceptable. Some of my Thai brothers here from Isaan province will know what I’m talking about. Our Art of 8 limbs dates back 1000s of years.

that's because muay thai by default is not a sport.
It was made as a form of weapon. The goal of it is to either knock or kill.
Which is why in normal muay thai rules, we use scores instead of knock outs.
To protect both parties, but when muay thai goes into a format that doesn't look at scores.
