- I'm going to eat around in Yamagata Japan. It's famous for high quality Yamagata beef and Yonezawa beef. They are awesome marble beef.

Seriously, you need to organize tours for solo travelers to Japan. I don’t know what your full time job is, but I hope it’s connected to travel and tourism.
That was fun! Even more fun was to finally get to hear your voice, even though I have absolutely no idea what you're saying! You have a very pleasant speaking voice. 🙂
before this video i thought he was european 😅
A narrator's voice!
I think this is the first time I've ever heard Solo talk!!!
It was nice to hear you!
I'm very hungry now, I should probably look for a snack since there's a couple of hours to go for dinner.
What's better than traveling all over Japan? Eating all over Japan. Everything looks so yummy, and now I'm starving. Another great video!
I love traveling through you. Your videos are so wholesome and I look forward to seeing them.
Wish I had been with you, the Yamagata beef looked awesome. I could almost taste it. I'm sure the Yonezawa beef was equally delicious, but much too expensive . . . and they charged for the rice refill. So glad you took us up to the observation deck. Wonderful view of the city . . . didn't know it was that big. Your room looked nice as well as your morning breakfast. Will see you in the next one. Stay safe and take care. 😊
The one looks like brisket from where it came from on the beef cow. Yummy stuff
I don't know why hearing your voice made me smile so much!! 😊
Oh it's lovely to hear you! You've got such a lovely voice!
Thank you so much for sharing this experience. Yamagata city is one of those places I want to visit if I ever go to Japan. One day when I have money lol I am from Scotland so it can be pretty pricy to travel anywhere!
The beef looks amazing with all that marbling
I personally liked the 1 wagyu beef restaurant more looks amazing
Finally! Sukiyaki. I love that dish!
Thanks! My friend that looked amazingly good i always wanted to go to a restaurant where you can eat wagyu beef but its hard to find one here in the US. Especially Texas!
Thanks for the super thanks! I appreciate it
It is always a pleasure to experience your culinary journeys through the magic of the internet. Thanks for sharing!
All the food looked AMAZING!!!

Yonezawa beef sukiyaki looks mind blowing! Yamagata looks like an interesting place for food.

Awesome city and food. I love your food tour’s. I wish there were more.
So much delicious food! It’s fun to learn about food from different regions :)
I really enjoy this episode !
👍😊❤. Beef, what's for dinner! Blessings from Texas, USA. 👍👍
If i ever get to go to Japan, I will rewatch all of these videos with a notebook, so I know what hotels to stay at for the all-you-can-eat breakfasts.
Amazing… everything looked GREAT and DELICIOUS.
I love the little bowls, Japanese food should be like that. That is fantastic value for money also, great vid !
Your channels and content are always such a treat.
This episode in particular was wonderful! The food looked so beautiful, I was really happy for you experiencing such delights :)
this was great!!! and it was also really nice to hear your voice, it is a really good voice for things like public speaking, reading books for audiobooks, and i would die three times over to hear you say food reviews out loud ❤️
That sukiyaki looked incredible! Thank you for the video!
Wow... both channels are awesome. Thank you so much for sharing your travels AND your food experiences. Both are sooo cool.
That looks AMAZING, all of it! I've always wanted to go to Yamagata, so it was wonderful to see it through you.

Probably the first time we heard you talk in the video:) The beef looks incredible! I have a plan to go to Yamagata in November, hope I have time to try these places’
My brother and family live here! So happy you made it 🙂. I'm very fond of Yamagata. Will definitely check out some of this food on my next trip.

Edit after watching, Im 200% satisfied!! Wonderfull
The food looked amazing! One day I will go back to Yamagata and try it, I was there a number of years ago but didn’t have yonezawa beef, it’s on my bucket list. It’s great to see a video about the food of Yamagata!
I have tried yamagata and hida beef before. Absolutely amazing
Love both your channels, that beep at the beginning just tells me were in for a good watch
Solo San, what an eating adventure! I do not often eat beef, but the grilled slices looked delicious!
🤘🥩🤘 I'm 120% happy with this video 😊
I taught I heard your voice so I put my volume on high and go back twice to listen to it again 😂😂 nice to hear your speaking voice ☺️😁 and as usual this made me hungry in the middle of the night again 😁
I read the ooishi bit and got confused until your subtitles. Thanks!
Sukiyaki, it's mouthwatering.
Oooohhh Solo-san, I finally heard your voice! 😍
Oh, man! I'm jealous! Looked amazing! The Kata Sankaku is called Brisket here in the states. We eat it smoked often. Delicious!
I need that beef right about now!!!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤Hungry!
I love this channel
The part of beef you are looking for is called brisket in English.
Always fun to watch your videos. :-)
You seem to know all the best places
Beautiful video STJ/FT...👍
Love your videos, please keep them coming 👏👏👏🇬🇧
Incredible Wagyu Beef in Yamagata Japan | Japanese Local Food Tour. Delicious food. I support your video. Watched the video on Watched the video on Aug 12, 2022 very like. Thank you very much
voice reveal yayy
Great, now I'm craving steak. Gee, thanks
I think the Kata Sankaku you mentioned in this video is around chuck or brisket area. It looks more like brisket to me.
So...you ate faster than the camera could record. Got it!! 😁 🤣🤣
Voice reveal! You could do radio shows. Such a lovely voice
A store near me sells Tsuyahime rice (Burnaby, BC, Canada). It's very good.
Loved the video, even if I did gain 3 pounds just watching it! 🤣🤣🤣 so which beef did you like better, the Yamagata or the Yonezawa?
Thank you for your always great videos. Your love of life and food is infectious. Thank you sir!
Thank you!
I was typing out GELATO correction as you mentioned it lol
If there is one thing we have learned - Solo Travel Japan loves his rice.
That first part @3:00 that was a happy cow...mmm so lucky to eat that quality of beef (I raise cattle and don't get that quality boo, just average angus beef)
Your videos are simple and very good, thank you for making & sharing 🙏
I think 肩三角 is chuck steak. Chuck is around the shoulder of the cow. I'm not a butcher though
My youngest son has eatenWagyu Beef. He says it is amazing. We live in the US
Your breakfast looks like it could be our lunch/dinner time meal! ❤
I think that cut is called chuck and that is a steal i would pay about $60 here for what was on your plate
15:59 Voice reveal😮
Looks fantastic! You don't salt the steaks before grilling - is that the preferred way to barbecue beef in Japan? You rely on the dipping sauces instead?
Any chance you took the Shinkansen to Yamagata? I wonder if the old guy selling bento is still there, he was positioned just by the platform. Seeing this video made me regret not buying a bento from him. Was there in 2019.
I took the plane there. Next time!
声、可愛すぎる!?!
I think the kata sankaku would be beef shoulder based on the picture?
Wow! I had no idea Yamagata was such a large city! Food looked great!
Itadakimas and domo arigato Solo San!
What is gerato? Gelato (Icecream) + ?
I just had dinner, but this video enticed me to hunt down an mini ice cream lolly from my fridge 😊
Edit. Did we really hear your voice? Nice to meet you!
“Gerato” = gelato. By way of explanation, in Japanese the “L” and “R” phonemes in English are perceived as one. This is why Japanese speakers mix up L and R and English speakers have so much trouble pronuncing Japanese words containing this phoneme.
Fantastic!
I do wonder how you can eat so much food! Impressive.
You mentioned at the introduction that you will try both the Yamagata beef and Yonezawa beef but I see that Yamagyu only serves the former. Did you get to try Yonezawa beef in another restaurant? If so, is there any difference in taste?
💖
Now I want beef! So nice to hear your voice.
Everything looked good except dipping the steak into the egg yolk. Love your videos. Keep it up!
What place will you eat first next time you visit ? It was cool to hear your voice after traveling with you so long !!! Was the octopus looking at you, ? Or was it just the stuff they rolled it in ? I really enjoy your videos, Thank you !!!
‘It melted in my mouth’
It better, for $10 an ounce!
In a Brazilian BBQ the smoke is part of the fun. With it, the experience in upgrated to another level. It is a combination "mouth and nose" during the meal.
Now I'm hungry :D And your voice got revealed ;)
First time we hear you speak? Looked like a few good meals, if a bit expensive.
Please can you give English subtitles so we know what they're eating!
Can't imagine how much it will cost to eat the beef over here. Probably a 3x markup to have it imported and grilled at a restaurant.
Turns out it is hard to find Yonezawa beef outside of Yamagata, let alone overseas. The cows are raised to 32 months old instead of 28-30 months. A reviewer says it has "delicate but distinct beefiness that sets it apart from the more-fat-than-flavour of most A5 wagyu". Yonezawa sets the bar "a little higher" for those already accustomed to wagyu.
Oh my…when can we visit Japan…you have a nice voice…
Gelato?
I just had dinner, but this makes me hungry.
Why you never eat katsu 😄👍💪🇲🇾
21:43 I laughed a bit.
Note to self - do not watch these videos while waiting for dinner to cook! Arigato!
How was the chocolate cake?🍫🍫🍫
It looked really delicious. Wagyu beef is very expensive here in the USA
