It’s so loving and responsible to have a multi-generational plan for parrots .
A lot of tortoise owners do the same.
*He's
I agree and I love to hear it...however her kids are very young and most likely aren't old enough to understand the gravity of that choice yet so... 🤷♀️
Absolutely essential ❤
@@inuterobleached_outtareach009 it's.. as in it is so loving... was referring to the idea, not a person or animal ;)
Paco didn't have a behaviour problem, he had a natural reaction to an awful life. Thanks to this family for giving him a healthy life.
Owners make assumptions based on CZcams videos which never show the work that needs to go into the birds, they assume their bird will talk and do tricks automatically, then it's, clip the birds wings to make it compliant. When the bird comes not doing the things people see on social media? The parrots either left caged or passed on 😢
That's actually where most behavioural problems come from. We see the same thing with many zoo animals, basically all farm animals, cats and dogs and even horses. The owners (often unknowingly) mistreat them and they don't get their basic needs fulfilled which then results in behavioural problems. Animals in the meat industry are terribly abused and no one seems to came. The turkeys are pecking each other? Let's cut their snoods and beaks! The horse is opening it's mouth? Let's tie it shut with a flash noseband. It doesn't matter that the turkeys are caged together by the hundreds with 24/7 bright lights and nothing to do, absolutely unable to perform normal behaviours. It doesn't matter that the horse is in pain, therefore opening it's mouth. People want quick solutions for THEIR problems, they don't care about the animals. I am glad this bird found a loving home!
@@H1GH.FL1Y3R That is exactly the problem. Parrots are very difficult pets, people only see the cute tricks and talking but not about how destructive they are, noisy, moody, need a special diet, etc. They aren´t for everybody.
Waiting for the video where an Osprey swoops out of the sky, grabbing Paco and flying away.
Exactly true!!!!! God bless you!
A caring, loving woman helps parrot overcome emotional obstacles. I enjoyed this video very much, thank you for this one!
The little movements and how animals close their eyes when we pet them. They’re so precious. We gotta protect these guys, they can’t defend themselves from us.
Agreed. All animals, including the ones we don’t need to eat but do
I hope Paco lives 100 years.
Surrounded by love the whole way.
I love happy ever after stories💖
I hope so too.
Me too. You, as well.
Amazons can live to about 80. They show signs of age at about 50. Only the larger Macaws live over 100.
I hope he won't live longer than his caretaker can take care of him
Paco’s story made me cry, some people act like “it’s just a bird” they are so incredibly intelligent, sensitive and loving. Thank you, for being a loving mamma/family for him. ❤
Birds are incredible creatures and so clever , we have a family of seagulls living on the roof and watch their young every year as they grow and learn to fly , just by putting out water and food this family has been with us for about ten years . In the bushes next door lives a robin and he watches when I do the gardening and chatters away to me . Sparrows are so lively and funny . They are all great characters and add so much life to the garden . In a local park two Indian Ring Necks have escaped and fly around , it's such a pleasure to see them and hear them too as their call is very distinctive . There is a whole world of bird behavior and they are all unique and full of character .🙂
@@rexnemo That is absolutely lovely, they know they can trust you now. Robins have such a special meaning for me tbh My great grandfather used to say “If you see a robin make a wish because they are special” ❤️
@@RaineSophiaLewis That is so nice I bet your grandfather was really fond of robins , they are wonderful supervisors when I'm out digging the garden . Have a great weekend .🙂
@@rexnemoYou're so right, birds are so unique and awesome, full of character! I started helping sparrows to get through the winter with food and water 30 years ago, then titmouses... I have now on my daily feeding list - sparrows, titmouses, 3 crows and one magpie! 😅It's so rewarding when they come to me with their fledglings, they make me so happy!
Me too - this beautiful story got me! I'm so happy Paco has a loving family that understands his needs!
The look of love on your son's face as he reached up for Paco shows that Paco will be loved through the generations.
This is a wonderful story and you are to be commended for your interaction with this beautiful bird! So many times people buy things without realizing the responsibility that goes along with that purchase. This bird was stuck in a cage for 7 years. You gave him back his life! God bless you for caring and thinking about his needs!
Taking a bird on bike rides, yup thats how us Dutch folks do things! Great to him live a great life now!
This family is giving Paco an absolutely wonderful life. They're so gentle with him, they include him in everything & have helped him recover from his earlier mistreatment. Great video.
It's still a lonely life. Birds of a feather flock together. Let him choose a mate of his own species and he would forget people in an instant.
@@pigeonlove Can't argue with that. All wild species belong in the wild.
Wonderful bird, Wonderful people.
@@pigeonlove depend. Some birds like paco have no grown up long enough with members of a flock, or maybe they were kicked out, social pariahs are very much a thing in their lives. I had a parrot who was taken young and kept in a cage, never trusted any human before. He didn't much like being outside at first, but slowly it grew on him, but he'd still be scared of other birds and things like that. He has the free will to leave, like Paco, but he chooses this life, and so does Paco. Bird relationships with humans can be just as deep as with their own flock and, the same with any animal. We eventually got another parrot, and boy did she love going outside, talking to other birds and mocking their calls, and messing with her brother. She also could leave whenever she wanted, but she chooses to stay every day, because we are her flock, and she misses us and her brother.
At the 2:35 point I thought to myself "That kid knows the stuff of life", as he quietly and serenely takes in the landscape in an almost telepathic manor with his parrot friend.
PLEASE be careful when letting him out in the open! I know someone who used to ride his parrot on his shoulder. A large hawk was in a nearby tree and almost snatched the bird from the fellows shoulder! The bird lost a lot of feathers but was okay. He doesn’t do that anymore. Paco is gorgeous! Thank you for loving him! 🦜 ❤
That was exactly my thought!! If he has been caged for so long, can he even survive out in the open, especially from birds of prey. At least in a controlled and better environment he may thrive. I am happy to see him with his new family. I wish him many long years.
the hawks in netherland are shy and small so don't worry
Yes, and my pet dove waited me over an open window many times but once he fly away. It was awful until good persons found him and I got him back home. He recovered with my another dove, first ate and drank water, then slept several days and nights and then recovered. Now I don't open windows much anymore. Love from me and my doves ❤❤❤
True . I used to do that with Skittles he use to sit on my shoulder until I stopped.I never let Petry try it because ain't no telling where she might take off to.
she's from NL (europe) and there are no hawks here. Above Sea we have some larger birds, but most of them are smaller, they maybe eat mice but that's it.
Wow! From a small cage to going OUTSIDE! How wonderful for him! Thank you for taking care of him!
Paco is a beautiful smart sweet bird. He is in a loving family. I hope Paco and his family have a happy life.
Awe, Beautiful Paco’s Guardian Angel brought Him to the most Loving, Kind-hearted Family and a Wonderful Forever-after Home, Bless Them 🥰🫶🏼🦜👩🏼🦱🧑🏼👱🏼♀️👱🏻♂️💞
Am always amazed how ALL animals understand kindness and care, and show their appreciation in many forms better than people. Love watching it.
True
I'm always amazed at how ignorant your comment is. You live in the world of sixty second social media videos, not the real world.
Paco is a beautiful and smart bird! I had no idea that parrots lived that long. Thanks for sharing.
My mate had one, that was at least a 100. It started off as his grand parents, then went to his parents. When they passed away, it lived another 20 years with my mate.

WOOOW! That's Amazing & Wonderful! ❤
They can live in the wild to 120yrs old.
Most die of limited food choices and psychological problems from neglect and incarceration.
The PERFECT FAMILY adopted this Beautiful Boy. So happy they found each other.
Love that Paco has an incredible forever home. It is so beautiful to see other humans have true compassion for their feathered friends. He looks so happy and peaceful 💜🙏

This was one of the most heart moving stories I’ve seen to date. What a precious bird. I’m so glad they found each other. ❤
I wish every bird had loving owners like Paco. I'm glad that little guy is so loved and cared for.
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
@@GeorgeMorgan6600bot?
No, birds need to be wild. Too many animals are being domesticated and they either can't breed, or can't look after their young. They will die sooner if too many humans keep interfering with nature.
He is just adorable
So is she!!
Omg her accent & family
So sweet

Very true
There’s just such a positive energy from this family. Even the young children are so great with Paco. Truly gentle with him. I know he will thrive in their homes as well. ❤️
Seeing him on the swing was one of the most adorable things I've ever seen.
Such a handsome feather boy 🥺😍❤️
Such a beautiful story! I'm so happy that this beautiful, sweet bird was adopted by such a loving family! Blessings to you all 😊💖🙏
What a lovely owner
I think Paco the parrot is an incredible pet and can only hope for the best!!! Good for them looking out for him! I can't wait to see what's next!?!?! Yup.❣️
What a nice family - kids are so adorable...
Glad the pretty parrot has been placed in a very nice home...
Thank you for giving Paco a happy, loving home. ❤
A bird with the best of two worlds. Freedom and love.
I'm really happy that Paco is in the care of such a loving family. They're so gentle with him. He looks content. Beautiful. I hope they have many more years to share.
I love it when people understand that having a pet is a lifetime responsibility...the pets lifetime...and they uphold their end...
Aww so glad he is not in a cage anymore❤
You can see in Paco's eyes the trust and love he has.
as a 12 yr old kid who managed a Tropical Fish and Pet store in the 70's and FELL In LOVE with a few Parots in my Life! I "KNOW" just what a Joy! and Privilege it is to have them as GOOD FRIENDS!
they went everyplace with us! No Problems, did work, chores, and Life together.
RIP Wobbles, Buddy, Bugger, and Zazo!
That poor neglected bird. He will learn to love and be happy with your patience and care. Good luck❤
He so beautiful! It's so wonderful to see how loved, safe and happy he is. ❤
Oooh, that gorgeous green color.... Paco will live like a king for a very long time, and deserves all the love he can handle!
They are some of the most loving creatures in the world. I wish you a long & healthy life.
It's so frustrating when people keep these beautiful and intelligent birds in cages and clip their wings on top of that.
Glad Paco wound up with a family that loves him and takes his physical and mental health so seriously.
I agree with you about those people that never let a parrot out of the cage.
Aside from that, there’s good reason for clipping a parrots wings for safety purposes.
@@dakotap3008yes, but they clipped his wings from when he couldn’t even fly. That’s inhumane. Parrots and birds have wings to fly. Some can’t, because of health problems, but if the parrot is perfectly healthy, not letting them fly is torture.
@@lavenderiris9744
I’m speaking in terms of letting them fly wild where it poses a big risk to the parrot’s life and health. In addition to that, many owners have lost their beloved (unclipped) parrots when they accidentally left a window or door open, and were never to be seen again. That would be devastating and inhumane because it could have been avoided by taking precautions.
For those that have the means and desire, an outdoor aviary would enable the parrot to fly while keeping it safe. Not everyone can do that.
Alternatively, we do the best we can and give them the love and care they so rightfully deserve. And if part of that is clipping their wings, imo it’s not inhumane. It’s done out of love and wanting to keep them as safe as possible.
I respect your opinion although ours differ. I understand the concept of wanting flight for birds, but I feel that needs to be balanced when it has to do with ownership and the responsibility that brings.
@@dakotap3008 Mutilating animals for "safety reasons". 🤡
Very strange behavior. It makes no sense
Beautiful story ❤ This parrot has a beautiful life now😊
Of course he loves being with you. You gave him his life back. I love it that you take him outside. Thank you for taking care of him and loving him.
I'm so happy for Paco! he has found a loving family and has such a good life now. precious little guy 🦜
I birdsit my neighbor’s Moluccan and will be his caregiver if anything happens, then to my children. These birds may have amazing homes, but outlive their humans often. I never want to see him in a situation many find themselves in. Thank you for saving Paco❤
What a beautiful story. I'm so glad you adopted him. He's living his best life now, thanks to you! ❤❤
Well done for giving Paco a loving home.
I wish all neglected animals and children could be this loved and cared for. Thank you.
What a beautiful fellow !
Thank you for looking after this lovely bird , you are angels.
Poor Paco was severely neglected and probably physically abused. Now he's been blessed with a loving family.
When a person modifies the physical attributes of an animal to suit their own agenda, THAT is physical abuse. Paco has a great personality and seems to enjoy the flying he can do without worrying about the flying he has never done. I know adult humans who are incapable of appreciating the good things they have because they are jealous of other people who have other things. If only Paco could advise them...
Lovely guy lovely family ❤
How wonderful is to see you all lovingly together!I received so much light from this movie, from your story!Thank you, God bless you ALL!
Nice parrot. Thank you for saving this beautiful parrot
What a loveable parrot ❤
This is one of the best things I've ever heard. What a loving family can do for a sweet bird who was leading an awful life of imprisonment. Truly blessed by this. May they have many happy years together.
When I was young my dad had an Amazon named Jackson who was super vocal. He had lived with my dad when he was young and he would listen to my grandma talk on the phone and laugh and he would imitate her and always yell my dads name when he came in the room. He would also say, “you’re so pretty Jackson”. They’re amazing birds!
This story.makes my heart so happy.....❤😊
Wow! Beautiful story. May Paco live a long, happy life with your family.
This is beautiful !!!!!!! All birds should have such freedom. Amazing !!! Love and respect are the needed elements.
There are pros and cons. Where I live has a lot of hawks. There is a risk to letting birds fly free.
This is so heartwarming I have no words to describe it. I confess I'd be afraid to have such a beak so close to my eyes but it seems he's so in love with that family it'll be alright for them all.
He can enjoy both freedom and protection from the many risks and drawbacks of life in the wild since he'll have all the vet assistance whenever needed, a cozy human home where he won't feel cold or get wet, risk being caught by predators or burned alive in dreadful forest fires, etc, etc.
On top of all these blessings, he'll always have the most precious gift of being truly loved all along.
Thank you so much for sharing this lovely story of a blessed adoption! 🙏🙏🙏
What an amazing story. He is so happy!
That bird looks so happy with his current owners! I love the backpack with the perch inside.
What a wonderful story. I love the open backpack with Paco sitting on the perch. These people are amazing and it's wonderful to see how good the children are with him. I had no idea how amazing birds were until I hatched Guinea Fowl. They are so inquisitive and darling and surprisingly affectionate. I think that birds are completely underrated as companion animals.
First CZcams story of the day. I don't think anything's going to beat it. What a beautiful turn around for Paco. And what a beautiful family. ❤

Imagine a world populated with people just like these. What a paradise that would be
I had some reservations watching this video, because after watching so many with birds in flight, I thought this would as well. But I was happily wrong.
To see this gorgeous parrot experiencing the best of both worlds, while protecting his safety AND his health was, indeed, heartwarming.
When I hear other parrot owners who allow free flight say, “I know the risk and I’m willing to take it,” I simply don’t understand. I’m of the belief that if you love something, you protect it, no different than a child.
I can see the love you have for your parrot and that you’ve made plans he’s cared for in your absence.
I’ve had many parrots over the span of 30+ years and the two African Greys I have currently are in my Living Trust, so I understand perfectly.
I had to chuckle when you said your husband comes second. I understand that as well.
@@preriowy
Just not “setting them free” to free fly. It would never be a risk I’d be willing to take if doing so risked the very life of what I loved.

He is sooo beautiful ❤️ live a long and wonderful life Paco
Such a loving relationship. You can tell that it is a blessing for everyone, Paco and the lovely hoomans.
Very lucky parrot to have such caring humans. ❤
What a sweet baby and a wonderful family
Thank goodness Paco found your kind family. Birds are such incredible creatures. Birds intelligence is a plight when kept by a family who does not understand birds and a blessing, for all , when they are with a wonderful family like yours. 🙏
Thank you for helping him.A beautiful bird.Birds are way more intelligent than given credit for.
I am so happy you saved him and he has such a beautiful life now.
You clearly have developed a strong BOND with Paco by doing so many activities together. I would avoid traditional trust-building exercises, like Trust Falls. Paired up with a small bird, it wouldn't end well for either party!
I'm so glad that's very nice lady and her family save that bird. What an amazing life he is having going outside climbing on trees playing games not every bird gets to have that kind of life.❤❤❤❤❤
Amazons are beautiful. I'm currently trying to persuade an owner of a neglected Eclectus to sell or surrender her. She's in a cage with no toys or attention. I take my parrot for walks every day, too ❤
