    not explained properly about dc voltage calculations and what is UDC?? what is value of udc

      Bro. Calculation of DC voltage is not available with us (end users). I took that value because it is mentioned in the ABB drive manual.

    how can we determine the value of choke and dc link capacitor ? any equation to find out that ? please help me out . thanks

      Normally 1-3% of voltage choke used,
      Equation can be found at net site for different companies

    DC link voltage is 300v DC - what might be the problem?

    • @bishantkumar12589
      @bishantkumar12589  Před 3 měsíci

      I think some of the capacitors aren't working, so the storage volts are just 300

    Good. But how does the drives save the electrical engery if the process parameters need to be kept same. I believe, its only marketing strategy of manufacturers to sell more and more drives. In fan application, it may affect but other applications,,,???

    • @bishantkumar12589
      @bishantkumar12589  Před 3 lety

      As per studies, there is power saving and it's an important aspect of DRIVE.
      See, in pump n conveyor application, sometimes we need to pump more, sometimes less. So the power required varies continuously. But in case of DOL, the power consumption is constant. So.

      you will save energy if you don't want motor to run in full load always.if you want to vary motor speed then without vfd you can't change.Also vfd provide better power factor which will increase motor life.For bigger motors soft starters are a must .

    Sir...I checked vfd incoming current that's value is 10 amps...but when checked vfd outgoing (motor side) then value shows 30 amps...
    That means vfd saving power...but my question is...what phenomenon happen in vfd that's reason outgoing current is greater than incoming current.

    There are about 16 protections in ACS drives , can you cover imp ones in one episode , since no such videos are available.
    Why it is recommendex to change the DC bus capacitor after 10 yrs.

    • @bishantkumar12589
      @bishantkumar12589  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Capacitors age over time, losing the ability to perform their job. The electrolyte, paper, and aluminium foil inside the capacitor degrades physically and chemically. Several factors, such as excessive heat or current, can speed up the deterioration rate.

    Can we use 415 volt dc instead of 600 volt DC in igbt inverter

    • @bishantkumar12589
      @bishantkumar12589  Před 3 lety +1

      I'm not sure, but you can use and I think the value of final ac vtg will also drop.

    • @superman-sl7qb
      @superman-sl7qb Před 2 lety

      if you want 415v dc then your ac input should be accordingly supplied .if you give input 415v ac then your dc will be 500v nd above.

    Sir, how v/f will be constant only varying frequency?

    • @bishantkumar12589
      @bishantkumar12589  Před rokem +1

      Actually the value of voltage and frequency increase parallel with the given reference (mA) so that the ratio remain Constant. I'll come up with a separate video for that showing how output voltage increase wrt frequency
