I wish puma had the option to buy a pair with just the one color. I like the idea of having two colors but having a pair with just one of the colors would be amazing, especially cause the colors are so nice

One thing that I noted is that they changed the puma ultra ultimates last shape and heel padding dramatically compared to the first and second colorways. I own the second reddish orange WCup color and the heel padding was way stiffer and blisters, but the shape was different, it had a higher big toe box that tapered. Hoeveer the modern colorways when I tried them feel so different, I had to go half a size down, and the toe box was more normal and tapered and lowered slightly, less anatomical. And the heel pads are way softer, but still relatively low. Super strange and I hope u can do a comparison between the first color vs the latest colors showing these significant differences. I'm not crazy btw because my friends also noted similar changes 😂 (btw I'm referring to the original puma ultra ultimate colorway vs these new colorways including the trix)

I got the launch yellow colorway for a substantial discount, ended up selling them. I love the Vapor 15's, but these are even tighter than those

I have puma ultra ultimate too and all i can say it's same as vapors for me but more barefoot 😂 one year ago i decided to say goodbye forever to puma but i became fan now

They are a solid boot in my opinion, just the heel counter is not cushion enough and also feels like your heel is pushing up against a concrete wall. Sizing is another miss on this. I had to go 1/2 size down to had a more
Comfortable experience on my heel but the forefoot area started to have some dead space and fit wasn’t as vacuum, snug fitting as my regular size 10 was. 10.5 was fine but it could’ve been better had puma made that fit more accurate. I would’ve placed this higher than the mercurial. Until then, mercurials are the go to for me. And the Future are solid as well. I think they run true to size compared to the ultra. But this colorway looks like it’s made for Man City. Goodluck I’m your season.

I was able to get the launch color way for about $107 on sale. I have a regular to slightly wide foot especially around the lateral side by the toe joints and so far in games there have been amazing to me. I think that if you can try them you definitely should especially if you like mercs (I used to wear vapor 13 but sized down half a size) cause on sale there are like 2/3 of the vapor pro. What was something’s you noticed about the changes from the launch color way to these? What is your eBay so I can possibly get some boots
They feel more sturdy to me than the launch colorway! A bit more structured and quality feeling than the launch colorway.

It’s such a shame that these seem to be a letdown to expectations. The mg soleplate is perfect for AG pitches no other brand other than puma does them that way.

I really loved wearing the puma ultra 1.2 but sadly they front split after less than 6 months of playing time. Would you say these boots feel the same as the ultra 1.2 but perhaps more durable?

@@NoahCavanaugh a lot of people are talking about mizuno. In regards to the alpha is there a AG soleplate version? If so is it a premium or budget friendly?
Yeah… the heel on these. It’s the biggest letdown. The strange combination of feeling shallow and being tight. The heel pillows are just a bit too low, putting pressure on the lower half of my heel. But that was the launch colorway. Maybe Puma did do slight revisions. But I wouldn’t know since I don’t have the latest and greatest colorway.
Oh the latest Air Zoom Mercurial in the Pink colorway has a different heel when compared to the older colorways. It’s narrower and less padded. Similar to Vapor 12 and 13. Just less padded than the Vapor 14. My pink pair is made in Bosnia the other past colorways are Chinese made. Is it difference is manufacturing in a different place? Or did Nike quietly changed the heel? Guess future colorways will give me the answers.

The Mizuno Alpha and the Puma Ultra Ultimate are too narrow for me around the mid foot. But I noticed when I take a wider shoe (like the Predator Freaks from a while ago), it doesn’t fit around the upper, ankle and heel (too much room and all crumpled together, no lockdown). I have a low instep but a wider midfoot 😕

Have you tried the Ultra half a size bigger? They say USA 10.5 are 44 EU, and im normally a 10.5. but i noticed in nike and adidas the EU size is 44.5 for nike and 44⅔ with adidas. I ordered 44 and fit oerfectky but had issues with the heel, i ordered some 44.5 and they feel a bit too long :( it was the greenish yellow with blue that i used. I wanted to get some furf and MXSG ones with diferent color but i dont know if my 44 were defective maybe and im puzzled about what size to get. I got to try the new Ultra line (with the white and orange , or all black or all blue and yellow and pink now the newest Griezman uses them) and they felt a bit longer than notmal. Its really annoyong how they change sizes haha i dont know if they are true to size USA or EU. Ahhh thank you for the videos
