Assault on Hoth honestly never seemed like a bad set to me
Yeah it just didn’t meet ucs standards because it shouldn’t have been a ucs set
*cough* shield generators *cough*@@fivelonelyclones
My biggest gripe was that it wasn't much of an "assault." The Imperial side only had a few tiny builds.
I agree it was a good set just not a Ucs set
Just didn’t feel very UCS like, as someone who wishes to have the set
No, worst $40 set is the Endor AT-ST that comes with a tiny tree and Ewok. It’s a 4+ set and, get this, ONLY HAS 97 PIECES IN IT.
Fr… the best application for that ‘AT-ST’ is to make some rebels training camp where it serves as an improvised shooting practice
Tbh the star destroyer isnt as bad as you think and even tho it is smaller that it should be the detail on the ship makes up for it and the decent minifig lineup
It’s also not as small as people exaggerate it to be it has incredible detailing
Yeah the fact the set isn't even out yet is a bit unfair to judge it already.
@@starfireix8207in my opinion the star destroyer isn’t bad exterior wise and has great figures however the interior doesn’t even fit a mini figure when it’s standing.
What detail? Grebling doesn’t fix bad proportions
@@kaleb749the proportions are normal, do you mean the scale?
No way Yavin isn’t worse than the Star Destroyer
That's exactly what I thought
If you’re basing the placement of duel on Starkiller Base on the insubstantial build relative to the price, I think Duel on Mandalore would’ve been a much better fit to be on this list
You’re right I forgot that one was $20
Fax the starkiller base duel was pretty good for 20 $ in my opinion
@@snackstogo2299 lets not get too crazy
@@benjimiguel17ahhahaha
The Imperial Conveyex Transport was *grossly* overpriced even with the Range Troopers taken into account. I get it, with Star Wars sets it's not always about price per piece, but 77 of the 622 pieces are just the treads for the transport. At that price point LEGO should've thrown in another tram car.
If they wanted to recoup the costs of the helmet molds, they could've made a cheaper set that featured them.
Personally I think the $60 Jaaku set with Rey and Teebo and the small shop (forgot the name of it lol) definitely is the worst. I thought the creature being brick built was weird and the rest of the build didn’t really stand out😊
Bruh idk what that 😊 is doing there i had no memory of including that lol
@@Trollmaster925really happy about that opinion lol
@@Trollmaster925I find the fact of editing a self-corrective comment but not the original one provocative😂
As someone who owns the Star scavenger, it sucks and I parted it out. Only got it cause some guy sold it to me for $5 when i was buying 2 other sets from him for $95 and he threw it in for an even $100
Interesting I like the small star destroyer because it’s pretty close to being just the right scale when compared to the invisible hand. I’m planing to make a fun space battle there.
Next vid you should do all imperial troopers worst to best
i think the imperial star destroyer is better to get if you want one and your a kid because all of them are so expensive now that this one coming out is the cheapest out of the rest that have come out
The star destroyer is the second most expensive playset coming out in 2024 bro
@@fivelonelyclones fair point i dont have anything wrong with your opinion its just mine i do love your content keep up the good work tho
@@fivelonelyclones oh i mean by star destroyers that previously came out not by all sets coming out that was my mistake but yeah i see why you put it there i have nothing against it but i personally like it
Great video! Sometimes I agree with your takes, and other times I don't, but it's always fun to see and talk about these sets! ❤🎉😊
The First Order AT-ST cold have been great…
or at least decent
The Knights of Ren may have looked intimidating but they had hardly any screen time and were taken out by Kylo really quickly. I think they were disappointing in the sequel trilogy lol.
"WTF that's a $XX set?? That should have been $15"- me through most of the video
kinda sad most of these are sequel sets because a lot of them are cool just overpriced
Thought for the day
Not as overpriced as the are in retirement. I did and would rather pay retail than change my mind later and pay eBay prices for it.
Why sad? I'm glad to see them making up the majority of this list. Sure some of the sets were good but the source material is garbage, so at that point it doesn't matter how good a set is to most people.
I hate that everyone trashes the Assault on Hoth just for the title. The main complaints I’ve heard are that it doesn’t feel like a “UCS” set or that there’s not much of an “assault”. The set itself is a really awesome playset and I hate that it’s considered one of the worst LEGO Star Wars sets just because of that stupid UCS badge on the box.
It’s just a jumble of other hoth sets with some ugly designs and an inaccurate shield generator, oh and the wampa can’t fit into its cave lol
Yeh I agree man it's a really enjoyable play set and that also lego is set for kids which are their target audience
@@MrNormal321 but it was called a ucs set, and it’s objectively a terrible one at that with dumb stuff where you just wonder how on earth they could get it wrong.
It's not "just" the title, which is right on the edge of false advertisement. It's just a ton of builds for the Rebels with no Imperial presence other than 2 Snowtroopers, the Wampa can't even fit in it's own cave, the shield generator is innaccurate, and it's extremely unbalanced in favor of the Rebels.
Funny story about the first order AT-ST set I have: back when it first came out, I was shopping with my little cousin and he just really wanted the set. Since $40 was in the budget my aunt and uncle gave him, I bought it for him and for YEARS and I mean YEARS until a few months ago he thought first order AT-ST’s just looked like that for some reason. Like how did he not know?
I still haven't seen The Last Jedi so, yeah, I don't blame him.
How knee slapping and hilarious
I for one rlly enjoyed freemaker adventures and got most of the sets as a kid.
Nice
w
Im too old for knowing the show but still very much enjoy the star scavenger. It's so cool with the way it functions with the bucket Walker. How you can fly by something with just the bucket down and scoop something up on the go?? It's awesome
Could you do most mediocre set from every price point like just the middle of the batch
Can confirm, I did watch all of Freemakers
Pls rank every advent calendar
You should make a tier list of every lego star wars set ever made
The thing about the conveyex transport is that the minifigs are awesome and the set inflated really well after the fact.
Also cloud city is ridiculous for the exact same reasons.
The small size of the Star Destroyer is actually a selling point for me. Between figs and model kits i dont have the shelf space for a giant star destroyer not to mention the time to build one
I have a theory about the UCS Hoth set. I think that LEGO took inspiration from an old Kenner toy from the 80s for the Microworld collection because when cross-referencing photos between the two of them, there's some similarities between them such as the 3 shield generators and the crows nest not seen in the movie
It also wasn't much of an Assault. The entire Echo Base vs. 2 Snowtroopers, an E-Web, and a Speeder Bike.
first ucs x-wing looks so much better on the box than out of it...
Why is assault on hoth a usc set 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
In my opinion it was the set that compelled Lego to create the master builder series like betrayal at cloud City and the mos eisley cantina. It was the last location ucs set
Yeah
Cloud City looks pretty nice - especially for 2003. It’s a nice actual playset. There is no way that’s the worst $100 Star Wars set ever.
UCS X-wing looks beautiful
Assault on both seems good on the outside I think and just saying for me I do like the rebel combat frigate but I see how some people don’t like it
For once i agree with you cloudcity is overrated
But the figures are very good
with the rex microfighter out NOBODY is buying the mando microfighter
13:35 squished it like a bulldog 😭
once you see that the imperial assault carrier is just a grey space shuttle you cannot unsee it
14:48
Ok, now you just TROLLING.
You can't rate a set that hasn't even been RELEASED yet. That doesn't even make sense.
Awesome video love it
The star destroyer really isn’t that small from reviews that have already released.
People don't like the Star Scavenger? News to me
I think it’s cool
Oh shit this just came out 😭😭😭
I think the N-1 horseshoe crab microfighter is a worse ship representation tbh. At least you could tell what the razor crest was
Assault on Hoth gets too much hate. I got it when I was younger and it was the ultimate rebel playset. The criticism is dumb. If it was called “both echo base” and didn’t say “UCS” on the box, there wouldn’t be a problem at all
The podrace and assault is great he is wrong
I dont even remember what the train scene is
Bro did not just say the 2003 cloud city set is overated, i am never gonna let bro cook ever again.
100 dollars for less than 700 pieces is way too much regardless of the set
Dawg the set is ass..? And the fact that it’s 10k for a set is just way too much. It doesn’t even look that appealing.
I like the Action battles because I got some of those big cannon pieces from them and I also got some great minifigs.
4:21 I did
Same
Bro is so short on ideas his next video will be “rating every LEGO Star Wars set on the amount of blue pieces they have” 💀
This video was requested twan
It's crazy that his reasoning for the $130 set being bad is that "it's too gray".
You have to be rage baiting with the cloud city take
i just got my justifier 2nd hand for $100 i really like it but i do agree way to expensive at release i think 140 would’ve been a perfect price
In my country the first order ATST cost around 50 or 60
In my opinion all the diorama set look cool but they all to high price and only cause they cost that much i never goin to get them in my collection i prefer get a ship for the price
i have to disagree with the solo train set i do think it’s pretty cool i just wish it was compatible with some sort of rails
Nah, the solo train is awesome
There are a couple of 25$ sets that could of fit in here, but none more than the 2011 V-Wing. It's my favorite set, but it has random gaps, it's so bland, and it doesn't even have a place to put R2-Q2 in it
I like your Bible verse reference.
I saw a review on the star destroyer and he compared it to the 2014 one and it was only like an inch shorter on every side idk why everyone is over exaggerating how small it is
Rathtar escape should gave been on here
Ngl I think that set is kinda cool
@@fivelonelyclones I think it was a great idea just executed poorly
As much as it's the minority, I gotta agree on the star destroyer, especially with how overpriced it is. For that size it's a $130 set at most imo, despite how detailed it does look
Yeah, 130 10 years ago.
I think the worst at 170 is the Yavin 4, the small Y wing and kinda lame build is a real turn off, only redeeming factor is the minifigures
I thought it was bad too until I actually got the set and realized the temple itself is a really cool display piece and it has a lot of cool figs. But yeah the y wing is trash and it’s overpriced
@@fivelonelyclonesI also have it. Sure it isin’t great but neat minifigures.
In my opinion the star scavenger doesn’t deserve the hate i loved the show its from and i think the ship looks great
No views in 42 seconds bro really feel off
Wow, such a comedic genius.
fr
I only got the first order at st for the bb 8
Really? Just for the minifig? It's an ugly build for sure but it's still accurate to the scene in a terrible movie but it's still fun! It's Lego!!
3:19 I have this set 😅
very true
Assault on hoth is good-elite play set
14:44 I feel like sometimes you have controversial takes on purpose for comments
Personally I disagree with your $50 and $60 picks
During the lead up to showing the set you're gonna talk about, you should show off some examples of sets that were good. You don't need to talk about them, just show some good sets so we can easily compare when you reveal your pick
I kinda liked the train from the solo movie it wasn’t that bad
There seems to be a common theme here. Almost all the sets here on the list are from the sequel trilogy. How odd? 😅
Only 5 out of 19 are from the sequels… and also if you actually listen to my reasonings my problems with the sets have nothing to do with them being from the sequels it’s all with lego’s execution
Where ucs landspeeder
A person who watched freemakers here as a kid imo its probally one of if not the best lego starwars show but i agree the build isnt the best.
The Knights of Ren situation is what I hate most about Lego, they always need the heroes and villains in it when said hero shouldn't be there and there are far cooler characters I'm sorry I don't want, Rey, Luke, Anakin, etc number 1,000,000
Eh, compared to other 2000's lego star wars sets, cloud city is good looking
I’ve gotten all of these 😭
EVEN THE …..50 DOLLAR SET?!
Crimson fire hawk is the worst $50 set. Insanely overpriced for what u get.
Bro saying cloud city was the worst 100$ set because of the play set features and build? Bro it was made in the 2000's it's not going to be on par with modern Lego and it was good for the time. Bro is just brain dead
Trash opinions bro did not cook this time
Pretty sure some people have already reviewed the upcoming ISD and it really isn't noticeably smaller than the last playscale model. It has incredible detail that absolutely makes up for it's value, the minifigs are great, and I just think it's pretty selfish and ridiculous to judge it as "the worst set" of it's price range when it's not even out yet.
Good thing you "didn't take much time on it" I guess
Some of these LEGO sets can be worse if it’s really has a bad price per piece ratio.
See what I mean. You say things like " I can't recommend this set for this but wait for this price". How about mentioning how overpriced it would be after retirement and "investors" want 140$ for it. And do you care about investors? Should care about the fans because none of y'all would make money without us. Investors my ass. More like price gougers
ok
Why complain about the low price of a set?
I've bin waiting🎉🎉🎉🎉
Mostly agreed
This guy cant make a single video without shitting on the sequels. We get it, you don't like them. Move on.

What’s up brother ☝️
Wassup man
@@fivelonelyclones I subbed
Disagree with 160😅
Let no one say first
this guy's full of trash takes. I don't think his picks are very disagreeable, I just think he does a terrible job arguing his cases.
Reality check
We all UNDERSTAND that when Lego says exclusive it means NEW...not to one set. We're all clear?? Good. I want positivity and good vibes. We ALL have a awesome new Captain Rex for our displays and I for one love it and want Lego to continue with the great job of new named clones and new set ideas.
Cloud city being the worst 100$ set deserves life in solitary confinement and 10+ years in a mental ward lol
