- Hello, beautiful book lovers! 🌸✨ Today, I’m taking you on a cozy, book-filled adventure to escape the real world for a bit-yes, that includes dodging my dentist appointment. 😅 We’re hitting up two of my favorite spots: Barnes & Nobles and The Book Traders of Hamilton, in search of some enchanting new reads, particularly in the fantasy and contemporary romance genres. 📚💕
First stop, Barnes & Nobles, where their romance section never fails to impress. Watch as I explore the shelves, discovering new releases and swooning over the stunning collection of romance novels. Will I find my next favorite book here? 🤔💖
Next, we venture into the treasure trove that is The Book Traders of Hamilton. This used bookstore is a haven for romance enthusiasts like us. I was amazed at the quality and price of their selection-brand new books at unbeatably low prices! 🎉📖
To wrap up our adventure, we make a quick detour to Trader Joe's (because what’s a book shopping spree without some snacks?), and then I head home to share a haul of all the books I picked up during our trip. 🍪🛍️

I love how we had dentist appt the same day and were both dreading it. my dentist is also great but the damn noises of the hypersonic cleaning thing really drive me nuts

Hate going to the dentist. And I'm not a fan of historical romance either. And unfortunately, my fave used book store here. Has a huge romance section and most of it is historical. Usually I just check out the small paranormal section instead. Be looking for Lynsay Sands paranormal books for my bestie. I got her into Lynsay after I fell in love with Lynsay's books. Especially since my bestie and I grew up less than an hour from Lynsay's hometown. So gotta support her work for sure❤

Gonna be honest, that shirt is fine. If a man came up to me and complained about what I was wearing, I wouldn't apologize, I'd tell him to stop criticizing women he doesn't know for their clothing choices and go back to the 1950s where he belongs. Wear what you like. Own it.
Unsolicited advice here, I have high anxiety about dentist too but that changed for me when I explained it and what caused it. Now, I’m prescribed medication that I take the night before and then again an hour before my appointment. I then tell them to turn the gas on and kick it over. I also use headphones and AirPods to block out the noises. I know prescription meds aren’t the answer for everyone so you may not want to go down that road. I just throw it out there when someone mentions their own fear and anxiety because I wish I’d known it years ago. And if you ever need extensive work then you can be put to sleep…. For a price. But just eliminating the sounds had a huge impact for me too.
Ahhh thank you!!! I actually do get my prescription filled when I need to have a root canal or anything major done 🫣 but I’ll def try out the trick with the headphones! The noises are the worst part for me so I can’t believe I didn’t think of that! 💕
@@HonestFictionthe sounds really get to me too. I even take a blanket and wore a hoodie to put my phone but that was before AirPods. But between the meds and the gas, I can typically fall asleep. #coping
I hate the dentist too.
I also recently picked up How Does It Feel and excited to read it. I think it should get voted on for May for the patreon Buddy read. Also if you ever want to Buddy read My Best Friend’s Exorcism I’m down for it! I want to read it and watch it afterwards.

Lol omg the owner of The Booktrader.....doesnt have the best customer service skills we shall say. She's hit or miss every time i go there but their romance selection is what keeps me going back
She was SO NICE after I completed her romance section, like she gave me an entire history lesson on how romance got published and was super engaging - normally I just get glares lol
