2:45 was going to aks what it was, thought of "Patrick Street" and "The Penguin Cafe Orchestra", turns out both correct. "Music for a found Harmonium" it called
Yes, by Simon Jeffes www.folktunefinder.com/tunes/67540
I always love Sharon but the damn camera operator gave me motion sickness. :-0
What kind of accordeon (or concertina variant) is Mrs. Shannon playing here? Thank you.
Have these irish songs names? Or are these songs improvised and uniques?
The do have names. Variations and ornamentation can be improvised but the tune itself certainly isn’t.
First one is the fox hunters reel. Second one is the tune for a found harmonium.
Does anybody know the name of the first tune please ?
Thank you Mr. Lion. Your a star, Leo?
sharron Shannon is amazing I have met her 2 times but does anybody know what the man's name that makes the noises with his mouth if u do please let me know.
Sorry dont know his name but isnt he great!
sean regan is his name born in Manchester
Saw him last night in Glór in Ennis with Damien Dempsey - unreal!! He is so talented. One of best concerts I have been at. Éamonn de Barra was also playing with them.
whats the name of the second tune does anyone know?
Better knows as "The Foxhunters" I think, she plays it so good , mighty stuff !!
That was the FIRST tune
The Foxhunters Reel, Music For A Found Harmonium.
That man in the pink shirt isn't playing an instrument.
You’re right, he’s beat-boxing. You can’t hear it very well on mobile or iPad but live? Fantastic. Saw them couple of times in Boston around the time of this video, what a great show. Fantastic energy!
