This is a year after beating cancer and Bruce is belting like this - what a legend.
I saw the show at the O2 in London that year. Because of his cancer I wasn't expecting much from him. He proceeded to belt out one of the best performances I've ever heard in nearly 40 years of following this band.

Yeah the band do not change and play in a different key and Bruce has not dropped down in tuning.. Testament to how talented and good they are even at their age.

Well that's your opinion. Personally I'll take Priest over Maiden any day. British Steel, Defenders of the Faith, Stained Class, Sin After Sin and Sad Wings of Destiny are totally unrivaled metal classics. Maiden took a lot from Priest like the galloping riffs. They even lifted the Running Wild riff for Wicker Man! I like Maiden up to Brave New World. After that they got repetitive and boring. Same with Priest. The come back albums they made with Halford are rubbish. They were on the money up until Painkiller. Now they're just a cabaret act well passed their prime!

I’m so happy they decided to keep Janick all these years, this version of the song is the best ever. the sound of all 3 guitars gives this song so much soul, it’s ecstatic this beats hammersmith by miles.
I love the 3 guitar attack ! It’s an even more fuller sound than before !
My favourite version of this song is one from 2007 at download festival. Bruce has such epic power in his voice in that version. The scream he does at the is incredible. I'm not saying he doesn't still have incredible power behind him, but you can hear age starting to play a factor with him. You can hear the high notes taking more effort from him. It's not surprising, the bloke is in his 60s and has had throat cancer. Non the less, he still sounds better than most singers half his age. He is a miracle of a man

I'm lucky enough to say I've listened to this masterpiece 2 times live. 2009 and 2016, both times with 60.000 maiden fans going nuts.

Watching this compared to beast over hammersmith version, with at the time of this recording, being 35+ years later, it’s insane how strong it compares. Bruce was at his peak and still does absolute justice to his old screaming self

I'm quite an avid fan when it comes to Maiden and I have to say, in my opinion this is the best rendition of this song they've played to date, mostly because of how much effort Bruce is putting into the song.

Really? Montreal? I noticed the aztec sun and pyramid stuff, I though it was some concert in Mexico. The design is even particular to the capital, i.e., I know its not the Uxmal or Chichenitza style.

We know that's not true. Everyone gets old and his voice changed a lot but still AMAZING and the whole band still's kicking asses !!
His voice has matured with age like I reckon his voice was at its best on the flight 666 tour back in 2008 but old age is starting to show in his singing style now... however still an incredible singer and especially for a man of 59 years old. He is absolutely amazing vocalist/frontman/entertainer. UP THE IRONS!!!

Tenho 37 anos ! Ouço o iron maiden desde os meus 12 anos de idade por 15 anos de idade quase que todos os dias!!!! E toda vez que vejo uma apresentação dessa eu me emociono sempre! É claro que é o amor pela banda também, mas fico intrigado e feliz como com o passar dos anos eles parecem que não deixam o nível cair, pelo contrário parece que melhoram! Não me refiro a velocidade técnica das execuções, solos de guitarra ou viradas na bateria etc... refiro -me a qualidade técnica em si, à perceptiva perfeição sensorial das obras ao ouvi-las! Talvez esse o motivo pelo qual os olhos de milhões marejam quando vêem esses SENHORES no palco!
