His book collection says so much about him, he was always searching for some kind of peace. So amazing!!
He should be in the Guinness Book World Records , because I don't think I have ever seen anyone make it as big as Elvis . His music , movie's , concerts , and so many movies made about him . I can't think of anyone else that has went that far . And he still lives on through his fans. That is so awesome . Thanks for sharing this !!
I totally agree. Imagine how many sales he would of had if the Internet, Facebook and social media was around in his time. He would of blew the roof of sales. No one will ever replace Elvis Presley.
I agree with both of you !! He was an amazing person !!
Bonnie Brown a distant relative was in the book ,,he was the tallest man in the world ,,I think his name was Robert primeau ,,his mother was my 3 or 4 times great grandmother,,I remember my uncle telling me this when I was a teen
@@nancychartrand7808 He is in the book of world records, for the greatest attendance at a concert by an artist who is deceased, for selling out Wembley Stadium in England.
This Video Series is so up close and personal, most of us will never get to explore these personal Elvis items. Items that he actually used and valued. Well Done To Both Of You for including us in the magic.
🤗
Its amazing that the things he used, written in, even shot is still around and in great condition and being so well taken care of.
I would be very interested in reading through some of the books that he read. Especially the ones in which Elvis heavily underlined passages & wrote in. Once again, I thank you for giving us another small glimpse into the life of Elvis Presley.
I love this series and find Angie to be very knowledgeable and a person who.loves her kob!
I could watch this all day lol so interesting to see what Elvis was reading. I wish Elvis wrote a memoir when he was alive 😭
Just imagine if Elvis Presley had WiFi he would have been surfing the internet for spiritual guidance. Elvis is still the King 👑
This was priceless. Thank you 🙏🏻⚡️🥳
I'm thinking how cool it is to be a fan and see something you sent to Elvis years ago, among all this stuff at Graceland.
Angie has the best job!! To be able to go through all of Elvis's things! Imagine how well she knows him!
GAIL HERINGER the prophet was given to Elvis. By June Juanico in 1956
She hasn't seen him. So not personally.
If only he'd cared about Baba Ram Doss, Margot Adler, Timothy Leary.
GAIL HERINGER pretty fantastic job! She’s a celebrity in her own right!
I agree. I wish I had her job. Man!!!
I've heard Larry Geller talk about these boxes of books, several times. Elvis had many of them memorized and he took them everyplace.
The king of rock'n' roll was a mystic! Like many great musicians and singers...or artists. You need a soul to do great art!
I would've loooved to get to know him! His book collection shows he had so much depth in him. He's a 10 in every way!❤
Thank you Angie this brings us so much closer to the man such a humble and spiritual man he was truly a man man among men and this is why, I believe, he had such a kind heart thank you for sharing
.Love this series of videos. Elvis was an amazing soul on so many levels and it is heartbreaking that people choose to believe only the negative. After my granddaughter's middle school teacher brought her to tears in front of her classmates because she had chosen Elvis Presley as the famous American on which to write her class assignment, I decided to see if she was correct. Being a fan is an understatement, but I wanted to discover the man, not the image. Three years later I was forced to consolidate the massive amount of information to fit a double layer DVD, then called the principal for an appointment. My charge to him was to watch it then give it to the teacher and inform her that as an educator she ls responsible to teach based on facts, not opinions and that according to the U.S. Dept. of Interior Elvis Presley was, not only a VERY famous American, but unlike any president, was known worldwide by his first name. Since then I have updated and uploaded the videos to CZcams.
Judy Hicks this brought tears to my eyes! One of My daughters 7th grade teachers told the whole class bad things about Elvis while they were learning about him. I went up there and educated him for over one hour.
Your comment was posted 6 years ago, I don't know if you ever see this now. What you said touched my heart. I had to respond, and I hope you get my reply. I am appalled at that teacher I hope your daughter's DVD educated that teacher. Your young daughter chose one of the Greatest forces that shaped all of 20th century culture not just in America but right across this world of ours. Music, fashion, sexual mores, Elvis's music is even used by psychiatrist to treat depression, He impacted enormous changes on so many levels. Your daughter was smart in choosing the person she did. In fact, Sinatra has been quoted as saying" Elvis Presley was the embodiment of 20th century culture" FULL MARKS! for your young lady.
True measure of a man is the fondness which he is remembered... Big respect for this man and his achievements as I'm only 30 so I learn more everyday. Thank you for uploading these as I will never get to Graceland in my lifetime.
Wow, so cool Elvis held on to the German to English dictionary he got in the Army from a fan. This is some great stuff! And, I'd like to add, they sure do a nice job of filming these items, with close ups, etc. Excellent job.
Wonderful I enjoyed watching this video on your boxes of books collection! Very impressive 👏
An interesting inside look into what Elvis liked to read and what was going on inside his head. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have now watched quite a few of these vids and wow! To see Elvis as a real person not just the star is truly a magnificent blessing… Thanks for all you do, light and love
It's finding all these amazing letters in Elvis's books, it would be great to see the pages of those books where these letters were found. I think Elvis would have put them there for a reason. 🤗
Amazing, Loving this awesome series. Grateful to you for sharing parts of Elvis that were so important to him.
While watching these videos I thought what if ever person was as generous as Elvis was the world would be a different place just a thought
I share the same Birthday as Elvis, January 8th. It was interesting reading the sentences he'd underlined in his book on numerology about the number 8. Like him, I'm an avid reader too and keep personal things inside my books as well.
8 people saved on the Ark. The circumcision took place on the eighth day. King David one of 8 brothers.
This video was extra special to me !!! Things I did not know .... Thank you for sharing 🙏🏼⚡️😇
These videos are so great and you even find more amazing stuff along the way
Elvis actually mentioned that book Leafs of Gold (It's a book about many different people's look on life) great to see the original here thanks for this amazing video I'm just awestruck by these personal items from The King.
I grew up on Elvis and Bob Seger (living in Detroit) and I finally got to check off Graceland off my Bucket list....my father passed in 2013 and I was able to take some of my fathers ashes to Graceland which Im sure was on his bucket list as well but passed early in life and never made it... as Im watching these videos looks like i have to make another visit cause things in your videos are alllll different from when I went in 2016....much love and Im going to keep on watching.... :)
This is so awesome. Well done.
you guys need to show us fans the upstairs !!!!! I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to see it
+eric salman he can hide for a few minutes to show the upstairs lol
Not even Presidents have been allowed upstairs. That's how it should stay. Elvis was happy for people to see the ground floor and the basement level, but upstairs was his sanctuary.
+Jenny Maher your right but you gotta wonder it looks like I know I do
+Arley and BIG 419 You can see upstairs of Graceland,Lisa's room and the King's room if you watch the first original film This is Elvis..Parker was the tech advisor and somehow scammed Pricilla to let them shoot upstairs.Joe Esposito is in there and he reanacts running up to Elvis' bathroom the day they found him.
+John Sherman I have seen this is Elvis and I do remember that part didn't think it was the real Graceland tho
So awesome! Thanks to you and Angie for so graciously bringing us these Gates of Graceland series!!!! I LOVE them!
I hope at some point they show Elvis comics .
He was so well read .
I APPLAUD Angie, and everyone at Graceland from the honorable CEO Jack Soden to the newest hire, for continuing to put together rare - informative - and exceptional Elvis Presley products (i.e. videos, books, audio files, blog, website, etc.). While I have never met Angie I, as a fan, say THANK YOU and GREAT JOB. I look forward to more awesome videos on your CZcams page. Take care and may God bless you and yours...always.
Parallel universes have Dr. Elvis Presley, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at The University of Memphis. Always sang in church, took the collection, and still teaches a few adjunct courses as a retired educator.
That was exciting to see them open these books and find different stuff for the first time since Elvis passed away . It was a little sad too . Great video , thanks for sharing this !
You should have saved the pages you found the letters and stationary. Just the positions of pages could have been priceless insights.
I love all the stories you guys do
Wow thank you ever so much for this series of videos, Tom & Angie. It's an excellent idea to keep the legacy of Elvis alive. More books? I'd also like to see things like his camera collection? (gadgets)? that could be an idea.
In any case, thank you ever so much, it's so interesting. Bless you x
Love these videos, keep up the good work. Always an interesting watch. Angie has the best job around.
This was my favorite of all the other videos from Graceland!
goodmorning, tom, and angie.. Watching now.. January.. 5,2024😊❤❤❤
In an interview, Elvis mentioned being given the book Leaves of Gold as gift as he was on a train during his deployment in the Army. I wish I could remember which interview it was.
He mentions it on the Seattle, 1962 interview.
My parents had the book The First 100 Days of the Kennedy Administration as well. I remember going through it as a child.
These videos are precious! I hope you continue to do these. Thank you for sharing these with Elvis Fans!!!!!! 19:50
I would love to have that job to be able to go through the kings stuff
So... I've been following your Gates of Graceland series because, not only am I an Elvis fan but I've toured the house twice. I've always been fascinated with the person that he was in private, more than his public life. This is a great series and hope to see more of these episodes. Saled Benitez mentioned doing an episode on his clothes, the ones he wore in private and around the house. I think that would be cool, too!
YES!! I would love to see his "every day" clothes!
Just WOW! I am a big fan of Elvis and a librarian too. I know of course about his relationship with reading and special books. It is such a surprise to be able to see part of his undoubtedly large collection up close as you show them. A wish come true. :-).
Thank you so much!❤ I'd also like to thank the fan who brought the idea to you. ❤When I close my eyes I can see Elvis reading, pondering and writing things into the book. 😂
Great insight! Would love to have seen Larry Geller at the table with them.
A great insight into Elvis, thankyou.
Elvis also read and gifted The Impersonal Life by Joseph S. Benner.
love that book with the gun shot in it plz bring more video like this am a big Elvis fan and am only 15 year old
"Back to where it belongs". But you didn't put it back in between the same pages. Perhaps there was some meaning for it being on that specific page? Oh well... ;)
Love seeing these videos. Well done and thanks for sharing!!
4emsteph , I saw that too . Oh well as long as it's all back in there .
Thank you I say that too
Yes, he had the pages marked for a reason.
😔
This is so pleasant. Please do more of these random findings 😇
"random"
in so glad I watch this video because I got the same book named, Leaves Of Gold that I ran across and bought from a Goodwill store and I've never read it but now I'm inspired to do so I bought it because it was unusual looking
HE LOVED THAT BOOK.
The show is fabulous as always!! This one and the records are definitely two of my favorites. The Words of Wisdom book looks amazing. I can vision a wall with those framed, that I would walk by everyday and read. I’d love to find it, but have struck out so far. Would you give the author’s name please. I would be so appreciative. Thank you for helping keep our spirits up during the Quarantine.❤️
My parents have that one huge book of war. Crazy I've seen that hundreds of times but never thought Elvis would also have it.
Elvis was ahead of his time - all of his books and the way he lived is relevant to how modern day is too! He didn’t allow the rigidness of the 40s/50s take him down!
Thank you so much for doing these videos, I enjoy them so much!
That's wonderful ... thank you ... greetings from Germany 😊* .. .
Would love to see more videos about his book collection if that is possible?
Do another Elvis book collection video
Elvis had a lot of books
👍👍👍
I admire Elvis more now....as a human being, especially. He had said, i recall: “the image and the human being are different”. When he was asked about his image by someone, fan, maybe, during a break from his rehearsal for the Madison Square Garden Concert.
Awesome.a whole new look into what interested elvis
I can see the kindred spirt this looks like the way. I mark my books up planing to go back and read them.
ELVIS' #1 book....his Bible, he traveled with it
on tour, always at his bedside.✝️♥️✌️😎TCB⚡TLC⚡. 5-16-22
Elvis the reader. Nifty.
How interesting!
Thank you so much very interesting. Quarantine watching 2020
Thanks for this amazing upload!
Angie has a cool job!
I have some Eric von Daniken books too ...love to think Elvis read these
Same here!
There's always something amazing to discover about Elvis, lucky you to be so close to him through his belongings. Anything about his (real) place in the 1945 kids song contest ?
👍
Angie has the greatest job
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing....
Wonderful glimpse into a few of his books. Hope you solve the puzzle of the ring. Maybe Linda Knows which ring he received?
Thanks for the video I enjoyed it...🙏❤️😊
♫💜LOVE THIS SERIES !!!! Thank you so much for these virtual tours. But it was disturbing observing closure of the books while discovering treasures inbetween pages before placing "back where they (most likely significantly) belong" ?!?!?!?
👍👍👍
Elvis would be great at showing his stuff don’t ya think 🤔
I remember that First 100 Days of the Kennedy Administration. My parents had it too!
Great trivia.
June Juanico, Elvis’ girlfriend from Biloxi, MS, first gave Elvis the book, The Prophet.
Cool video
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
loved this ! thank you
Neat series!
The Karate book is quite advanced. Elvis must've been an expert!
He was a black belt.
He is so missed
A Brilliant Man
You mentioned that Elvis gave copies of "The Prophet" away. I have read before that he gave numerous copies of a book called "The Impersonal Life" away too. I am into my 4th reading of the latter and recommend it to anyone seeking to find your spiritual self.
Omg, elvis had a book from the judo champion Anton Geesink from my country😮The Netherlands
Elvis was a Capricorn as I and we love love to read and numerology and knowledge we absolutely love.
Thank you for pinning. Elvis is my fave. Did not know about this fact on Elvis.
The Prophet was given to ELVIS by JUNE
JUANICO while they were dating 1955-56.
She tells about it in her book, ELVIS, In The Twilight Of Memory. Their Love was a serious true Love 💕His first true Love...
separated by his fame that was just starting
to soar....young innocence 💕. JUNE+ ELVIS
a TRUE LOVE story💕. 5-16-22
Loved it!
Love these videos.
A local Mall store had one of Elvis’ Cadillacs that he shot with a .45 cal bullet through front fender near the front door. The mall is now gone, no idea where the car went.
like if they should. make a video on Elvis clothes
I'm sure they will! There is more left in this series
Great video. I have one of the omen books that he owned. It is signed to someone but no under lining unfortunately.
Those needs to be i a museum.
They kind of are.
It would be interesting though for a book list to be made available at some point if the ladies, R H & F don't feel that to be too invasive.
So cool to see
I want to see his captain marvel jr books.!
