I was wondering about this too. There’s a lot of repetition, and not much progression in the track. I love Luke’s playing, just my opinion on the song
It’s Richardson’s song so why would he want to overshadow him? Play to the track; not cram a million notes into 4 bars. I think he earned his check admirably. And I think the vast majority out there wouldn’t quite consider anything he’s doing as “simple patters” lolol….
