  • These can be some of the most amazing sites in the whole universe, but what even are they? Today I dive deep into the many different types of nebulas, from the classic diffuse nebula, to supernova remnants, all the way to dark nebulas, all with the amazing help of Space Engine to shows us these structures in 3D.

    To be honest (having an astrophysics background), after seeing the tile; I glanced at my keyboard because I expected I was going to have to write a long winded thing with corrections that most would not appreciate but I'm happy say that i'm quite happy.
    Perhaps the only thing I would say is that a 'White Dwarf' is (most probably) not a 'final state'; it should become a 'Black Dwarf' or a Blackhole, or a Black Dwarf and then a Blackhole.

      how would a black dwarf turn into a black hole though?

    • @LENZ5369
      @LENZ5369 Před 2 lety +1

      @@bumpsy Not on it's own, it would have to acquire more mass probably by merging with other compact (high mass) objects.
      Hypotheticals about hypotheticals is pretty sketchy but enough (to overcome chandrasekhar limit) white/black dwarfs could perhaps form a Neutron star -which with further merges (to surpass the Tolman/oppenheimer/volkoff limit) could result in a Black hole.
      There is also the possibility of a black dwarf pushing a massive Neutron star already near the TOV limit, over it.
