- Truly one of the most beloved restaurants in Lancaster, PA since 1993! The owners grew up Amish, though are now Mennonite, and they cook and serve many Amish and local dishes. They prefer to stay on the "cozier" side so they can deliver high quality food in smaller batches. They are terrific in customer service too - one of the best in Lancaster!
If I could only go to one restaurant in Lancaster, I would go here.
Link to their website: www.dienners.com/
Open Monday - Saturday 7AM - 6PM except Friday when they are open till 7PM. They offer both buffet and menu dining at all meals.
We visit Lancaster every year and Dienner’s and Katie’s Kitchen are our favorite places to eat.
You have done such a good job of showcasing Diener's Restaurant. Everything looked delicious. Those buttered noodles are calling my name! The prices can not be beat! I agree with you I definitely prefer Dienner's Restaurant over some of the bigger buffets. We thoroughly enjoyed our first time visit there last month. Looking forward to going back. Excellent job!
Thanks ☺️ I really enjoyed your review too!! You guys always do such a thorough job of letting us know what a visit to each restaurant is like from the time you get on property till you eat the dessert! Love it! I LOVE Dienner’s so it’s so fun to see videos about it 👏👏. And I agree with you - they have delicious brown buttered noodles!! My hubby used to love Good ‘n Plenty’s buttered noodles but they closed so he likes to try them everywhere we go:)
The butter noodles are fire
My son and I try to eat here if we are in the area. The food is so good. Everything is fresh. The desert is also fresh and homemade. You can't beat the price. It's worth the wait.
Great review 🥰🥰😊😊👍👍. I agree! Thanks for commenting
I should not have watched this when I am hungry. Dienner's is top quality and best price. Last visit we ate here, Katie's and Shady Maple and were not disappointed. I just worry too many people are finding out about them.
Ha! That’s funny David but I bet they will find room for all of us 😊😊😋😋 It made me hungry too ☺️☺️
Shoefly Pie
Best value, everything is delicious. I want to go back and just eat the desserts. There were too many to try them all. The peanut butter pie is delicious! Maybe the best I’ve had.
Been going to Lancaster for many years and Diener's is always on the menu. Either Breakfast or Diner you won't be disappointed. A lot of places have slipped in the past 3 years due to Covid. Not sure if it's they can't get the help but even Bird in Hand wasn't it's usual awesome self the last time I went. Hope for better times ahead! Happy 2023
We ABSOLUTELY love it there! We recently moved to Florida from Pennsylvania, and although I love it down here, I do miss the Fall crisp weather there, and that yummy 🤤 authentic home cooking 🧑🍳!!!
Glad you like living in Florida, but you are right there is nothing like the food of Lancaster!! And the Fall IS beautiful- sounds like you maybe should plan a trip there next Fall 🤗🍁🍂
What timing! I was just there today!
Nice! 🤩🤩 we are all jealous now 😆 did you have dessert and if so which ones?
We used to go here all the time when we were local. When we come back to visit, we make sure to stop here a couple of times. The Baked Chicken, Buttered Noodles, Stewed Tomatoes, and Vanilla Crumb Pie were my main staples…
I love all those food you listed 😊👍. Except the vanilla crumb pie. I am enamored with their peanut butter cream pie but I can give that one a try too! Thanks for sharing!
We are there on our trip on October. We really enjoyed it!
Awesome Judy! Did u love any of the dishes in particular?? Just making this video made me soooo hungry for more! 😆🤩😊
My friend and I are going to Lancaster in August. Do you know of any winery and vineyard . We will be in Reinhold
Hi James, I know of 2 wineries near the Bird-in-Hand/Intercourse area. First is New Hope Winery. It is along art 340 bw the 2 towns. They have lots of local wine and a local brewery upstairs. I’ll try to link it here: mounthope.estate/wine-gallery/
The other one is a winery in Kitchen Kettle Village in the town of Intercourse.
Here is a link: www.kitchenkettle.com/members/waltz-vineyards.asp
They have a vineyard between Lebanon and Lancaster. That vineyard will probably be closer to you if you are staying in Reinholds (I’m not familiar with that area TBH). I’m sure there are more but that’s what I know ☺️👍 Have a wonderful visit!
Everything looks delicious food
It is!!! ☺️☺️👍👍
very nice dani. in 30 years, only went once. heading down next week with another couple. gonna check it out. thanks.
Oh awesome Jimmy! 👏👏😃😃 let me know what you think. Making this video made me soooo hungry for their food! I hope you have a marvelous time in Lancaster next week!! ☺️☺️🥰🥰
@@ElleLiving thank you Dani 👍
never been ... love the shoo fly pie next door
Totally worth a visit!! Yes that shoo fly place is definitely iconic 👍😊
$20 (w/beverages) for AYCE? Not bad. Very hard to find anything, even lower quality places, for that price. Going to try it finally when I visit soon.
Yes they price it VERY well! You should totally try then let me know what you think!! ☺️☺️
First we went was last summer and loved it there but the second time we went few weeks ago wasn’t as great.
Oh man I’m sorry to hear that. Hopefully it was just a bad day - was it certain dishes that were disappointing or the temperature of the food?
We were in the area for a very short time over the summer. I was looking forward to taking my husband and child to Good n Plenty. I was very disappointed when I learned they had closed the end of last year. We were told to try Shady Maple. It was good but too big for us. Our ADHD brains went into sensory overload. The food was delicious. We plan to return for a longer period of time soon. We’ll have to try Dienner’s. Do you have other suggestions more similar to Good n Plenty or the long closed Plain and Fancy. They were memories from my childhood that I wanted to share with my family.
Oh I KNOW! I was sooooo sad when I found out they were closing!! It was my husband’s favorite place ☺️☺️ we also have a lot of great memories there 🥰
Soooo, besides Dienner’s which I love, I would recommend The Bird-in-Hand restaurant and smorgasbord (I heard some of the staff from Good n Plenty work there now ) or Hershey Farm or even Miller’s. Those last 2 are the most expensive. They are not as big as Shady Maple but bigger than Dienner’s if you want more choices. Personally I would go for Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord. Oh and as far as I know, no one does family style anymore. Though I do think Smokehouse BBQ n Brews (used to be Plain and Fancy) still offers a PA Dutch spread with advance reservations but check on that before you show up 👍👍. Hope you find somewhere else you will love! 🥰☺️
I agree!! Bigger is not always better. I love Dienner’s but I haven’t tried their peanut butter pie yet. I will next time now that you have said it is so good!
@@suehamblin9652 can’t wait to hear what you think of that pie 🥧 😍👍🙂
♨️Cinnabun 😋
To much talking n touring not even a food review!! Terrible review!!
You are welcome to criticize of course, but this video WAS labeled a tour and review of the restaurant (not a meal) and that was my goal - to tell about why this place is so amazing. And I did mention some of their best dishes and all the food was labeled. There is not a bad dish at this place and I think I made their food quality pretty clear. I sure hope you give this place a try despite your disappointment in this video bc it is amazing.
