I don't have a lot of sympathy for Nick. I understand that addiction is a nightmare, but he had the best set up imaginable and ruined it all by being selfish. For anyone else, this would be a rock bottom, but he's still acting like he's a victim and nothing happened. He's ruining the lives of his children and doesn't seem to care much. It's gross.

It should be a wake up call for him, but it doesn't appear that he's taking any of this seriously, outside of defending himself. I really hope he can get clean, but it's not looking good.

its sad there were kids involved in this. honestly dont care what people do if theyre not hurting people but letting it effect your kids and life so much you get reported by members of your church is bad.
The most upsetting part is that he still has a second chance here. He can come clean and say that his addiction got the best of him, get into a program, and really make the commitment to change. Most people would accept the apology and see his redemption as a victory. Instead, he's deflecting the blame, playing the victim, and will probably end up losing everything because of it.
I do care what people do especially the before and after a year apart. The stream that led him to being arrest he was in a horrible condition

I remember him from the dsp arc. Wasnt the turn i expected, but not surprising at all.
By time I started watching him he was drinking hard liquor on his show. And it soon turned into him heavily drinking. He would have hours of videos every day and he would be slurring his words and making outlandish statements. I don't think anyone was surprised that he had an addiction, but the cocaine was surprising and the child neglect was shocking.

Definitely classic alcoholic with some money behavior. A lot of people point to the coke, which does make you belligerent and annoying, but I think it all stems from the alcoholism more. That's what leads to terrible decisions, neglect, and doing harder drugs down the line. I would bet a lot of this was going on well before the hard drugs entered the scene just from his clear alcoholism. The coke and ketamine and the weird sex stuff was the end result of years of alcoholism. Not to downplay the coke, but he definitely had issues well before that. Anecdotally, the wife seemed way more strung out in the mugshot and asking for the pill bottle is some real addict stuff. I think he was an alcoholic, the wife got into drugs (with him), he already barely coped with the alcoholism, wife got destroyed by drugs, and he just further degenerated from them.

My wife grew up in a really pool neglected household. Like the place where her mom refused to get a better job or a full time job because she was afraid the government would cut back on assistance.

Holy shit navigating school, from 1st all the way to 13th grade was such a nightmare. It's like being a new player playing top level RTS games online against some Koreans. So many things against me that were making it harder, that didn't need to be there (weetarded forced haircuts, gay as fuck fashion i was forced to wear, being forced to not button up my shirt, crazy mother making a fool of herself infront of the other kids). The rare occasion I was being logical and articulate with my parents or teachers and they'd just brush me off. It's a miracle I only came out a little weird lol.
