The second wicket from Starc, WOW! God I love this form of cricket.
Yes but he should have a sporting spirit. Last wicket the whole team was celebrating and starc as well even though the catch was not clean. This shows that the Australian team is always cheating.
When it comes to making test highlights England cricket board is the worst
Starc was phenomenal today. Jaw-dropping delivery on Pope. Did well in the field too.
Who says Test Cricket is boring??
*Best format of cricket 🏏 we are so glad to see players like Lyon, Anderson, broad, root, Smith and many other*
@@shoumicdhar5096that's why you are spamming this in other matches also 😂 now cry kid
10:40 this delivery by Starc 🔥
Hard to choose between that, and Cummins to Brook tbh. Cummins to Brook was similar him to Root in 2019
@@ahmedayaat2727Cummins to brook looked like an average delivery to me. it was just a straight delivery that Harry brook missed he played the wrong line.
@@abuzarnizamani6398 The Cummins delivery to Brook did straighten after pitching, and also kept a bit low.
@abuzarnizamani6398 it's the angle into middle and off, then seaming away. Hard to to play, it was a brilliant ball.
Nathan Lyon has some personality. He really has defined courage today...
aur kitni tareef karni hai lyon ki??? kuch reh gaya hai tauh woh bhee likh dain 😂 😂 😂
You have a strange idea of courage. He has a hamstring problem not a broken leg.
Lets be honest,Australia has the higher chance of winning but everyone will be eyeing on the Ben-Ben partnership.
Exactly if they somehow can stand I mean at least they can create chances for England to comeback
As an Aussie I reckon England will win this match. Nathan lyon would play a big role on the 5th day
What a legend Nathan Lyon is!
Huge respect for him 🙌
have to admire selectors for sticking with starc even though he was going for runs and not getting many wickets .He delivered , and boy that wicket at 10.40 .Only starc can produce magic like that
Just *imagine* if Lyon's 4 runs makes the difference...
That was 15 run partnership so think like lyon has gotten Australia 15 more runs
Just image... it would be like if England declared early with 2 wickets in hand, and then lost the match by 2 wickets
@@Termintor1England didn't lose the first test because they declared early.
2nd wicket of Starc reminds me his 2015 form 🔥❤️
It’s sad 😢 that Lyon has got an injury and won’t be playing in the rest of the series, but still he came out to bat and scored 4 runs in 13 balls.
Respect 🔥🔥👏👏
Opens up a window for Todd Murphy to show his skills in the next 3 games👀 gonna miss Lyon though. What a player
Finally Starc coming back to form!
8:21 when Lyon hit that boundary, look at that cheer & Joy in the Australian dressing room!!
That totally made my dayy!❤
Maturity is when you realise that test cricket is more interesting than T20 and ODI...-) 😊
high class fast bowling by the aussies.. vintage starc is back.
Starc clearly took that catch but was obviously protecting his back and body by not wanting to extend it by diving too much after bowling all afternoon. Ridiculous decision to turn it over, but I guess the poms could use some intervention from the umps.
Dear Daniel Nick 6174: I've seen many outfielders dive for lost boundary balls. Why couldn't the professional Starc mentally rehearse a scenario like this, erase doubt, and come up with something mind-clearing for the audience?
@@sebbyh9764ts not about the control..As per rules if the ball touches the ground that's not out.. Nothing else matters

Sports teaches us to stay strong, sports motivates us, inspires us...
I've been watching cricket for more than 15 years now... Today, I saw the most extreme example of motivation through Nathan Lyon... No words are enough for his dedication for this sport and his spirit.
I'd say Anil Kumble playing in 2002 with a broken jaw vs W Indies is arguably the greatest cricketing feat of playing through injury, he should have been in hospital but instead stuck around to eventually get Brian Lara out.
@@AventineArchives I would say Yuvraj Singh's Quarter Final innings against Aus in 2011 wc battling through Cancer but that didn't stop him and eventually he made sure that Ind crossed the line...(In the same match Brett lee also showed some phenomenal spirit to come back after getting injured in the head to bowl again).
Yeah that’s a champion effort from Lyon. Putting his body on the line for the team, can’t ask for much more than that
What a great battle it would be when this Aussie team would play against the Aussies of the 90s.... Smith vs McGrath, Cummins vs Ponting, Hayden vs Starc, Warner vs Warne.... just wow
90s aussie was something there were absolutely dangerous today's are kids. 90's aussies was to rule the world.
What are you talking about Steve Waugh's side would smoke them. They used to finish most of the matches within 3 or 4 days often winning by an innings. It became such a habit that commentators called for test matches to be shortened to four days to make them more interesting.
Respect for Nathan Lyon. ❤
Test cricket at its best 🔥🔥 what a day was that ❤
Starc’s catch is a perfect example of sport semantics going too far. Adjudicators are left ignoring common sense and instead worrying about interpretations.
For the people who are saying not out, wasn’t in control, he took it with two hands and then moved it to one? Looked in control to me
If ball touches the ground then clearly it’s not our whether he has control over the ball or not
It touched the ground mate no fingers were below the ball then it doesn't even matter if he was in control or not
Lyon is the only guy who won't mind being called GOAT. joke apart he showed real character today like Kumble, Kristen, Graeme Smith.
That's why Mitchell starc is a must in every situation team plays

Erasmus did his part 😂 but it won’t stop the Aussies from winning this match. Mighty Aussies for a reason and they are breathing 🔥 with 140 + kmph
@dancasey700 because he had control of it before he hit the ground then the ground didn't make him lose control of the ball so going of the the rules he's out

This is the interpretation for this series, it will need to effect England for a consensus to form, then we can get back to normal.

Great Respect For Nathan Lyon 🙏
Starc and his inswinging deliveries are a delight to watch
Starc should've thrown the ball. Rules are stupid. When Warner took a catch, he threw the ball but since starc rubbed it on turf, it's not out
This test match is looking so similar to the WTC FINAL. India needed 280 runs left with 7 wickets in hand . Now England need 257 runs more with 6 wickets in hand . So, essentially the first hour of the morning session is going to be of paramount importance . Ben stokes the key if England are to come out successful in this chase. Other batsmen will have to play around him and contribute to make good partnerships.

That Starc catch is out more often than not, been a great series so far
@@eddyvideostar I’ve seen catches like this been given out before, it’s nothing new in the sport but there needs to be consistency. I think Pointing nailed it when he said slip catches are in less control and most players throw the ball out of their hands before completing the catch yet it’s out every time. Starc had the ball in his hand the whole time and was never in control but at the end put his hand down to protect his fall, I’ve seen much worse catches where the player was never in control and Smiths in the first innings is a good example of it, the sport needs to work out what is out and what isnt
@@eddyvideostar you obviously don’t watch much cricket if you ain’t seen this stuff before
Starc's second wicket...stunning ball.
Great catch he took on the fence....they have now dug themselves a massive hole giving that not out. From here on, anything you catch must be not out if the ball touches the ground at any stage. Disgraceful umpiring that needs to be investigated for possible match fixing.
How is that out. If he has dragged the ball on the turf and he is not in control then how is that out. Brainless people. That is why they say" common sense is not so common".
mabey not match fixing but he cleary had control over the ball when i hit the ground. Smith's catch in the 1st innings was given and that could be considered less of a catch than starks. this same thing literally happened in my game yesterday and it was given out because he had control over it. the officials do need to explain themselves
James Anderson hasn't picked up his usual number of wickets in this series so far.
ive refreshed the page soooo many times just to see the highlights i swear to god
Duckett should be out. The rule book states that if the fielder has control of the ball it is deemed a valid catch. Starc had control of the ball before he touched the ground
Just Imagine If Stokes Repeats his Headingley's Innings😳
When Harry Brooks plays against quality attack
No flat tracks
Hats off to Nathan Lyon... It was the most fighting 4 runs I've seen in my life... I really bow down to you...
You'll be an inspiration for my life in the hard days...
I feel that Nathan Lyon's excellent commitment (15 partnership off 31 balls for the last wicket) will be a big advantage for Australia in the end in this Test. It is an amazing dedication as well as a great role model for us all. We hope England will do their best to chase down this total and level the series. Congratulations to both teams 🙂👍
Pope had no choice , It was a beauty by Starc !! England lagging in their bowling big time ; had they bowled better in the 1st innings things would have been different!! I guess Sam Curran should come in the squad and Mark wood !!

Starck's catch is clean
@@slavaukraini1991why does it matter? It was already completed on air.
@@dontfuckwiththewhat It matters in regard to the rules of the game, sadly
It wasn't a catch there should not be any help with ground touching the ball while fielder is in motion n haven't completed the catch. You have seen many times when fielders takes the catch in the air clearly but when hit hardly on the ground ball pop up from the hands and couldn't take the catch. Thats what happened here starc after taking the catch touches the ball on the ground with fist not underneath the ball.😂

@@madan5323 high revenue? That's because 60% cricket fans in the world are composed of Indians. High population crisis. Otherwise no one would have watched such low quality competition, most of those matches are one sided. One always finishes as table topers and break millions hopes by never winning the tournament and the other always gets knocked out of the tournament lol
As a South African I am enjoying this series. You lads are putting on a brilliant display of skills. Duckett needs to hang in there.
Bairstow is the only one who is left, who can save the match or make England win the match tomorrow like he did against New Zealand in 2nd and 3rd test last year. 🔥🔥🔥
To all the people saying starc's catch was fine. No it was not. It has been clearly written in the rules that one should be properly balanced on both of their feets to consider it a fair catch. Stark had to get up on both his feet before throwing it up or rubbing it on the ground. It doesn't matter for how long you have the ball in your hand, if you're properly standing on both feet, it will be considered fair, if you're not, then not.
