Bro I have the same motherboard G31 but the issue is the 946gz express chipset on the board is heating up very fast , at first when I turn on the pc the booting is done successfully and can be able to use the pc without any issues but after 10-15 minute of been ON the pc whole window stacked and restarts and when restarting it is not booting up ,and I have to off the power supply and have to wait for sometime to cool down the chipset and start the pc and then it starts normally and work good but again the problem repeats again heats ups and get reboot and doesn't work
I checked the MOSFETs near the sata port and one of the MOSFETs is showing short and other showing less value in buzzer mode ,while checking the board I find that the capacitor near the MOSFETs is blown or leaked it's value is 6.3v 1000uf and I replace the capacitor with 25v 1000uf but the 946gz chipset is still heating up I doesn't change the shorted MOSFETs
Please reply what will be the issue causing the chipset to heat up what should I do to repair ,is it MOSFETs or the chipset is internally short if it is then it can not be able to display window ,but it does so what is problem of my board please reply
