Fanmade | short Darkiplier clip

A small Darkiplier edit! I tried to get as close to the original Darkiplier videos as possible and I am very pleased with the way it turned out :D Again, this is not perfect, but it taught me a thing or two, so I'm happy.
Lesson learned:
- Editing antisepticeye footage is bitch.
- Editing Darkiplier audio is bitch. I tried to filter out the cheery background music as best I could ;)

Oh hell yeah, I would be all over that :P It actually genuinely surprises me that I haven't found anyone else giving this a go. There are sooooo many fanmade Darkiplier videos out there, but I could not find one that uses the green screen footage to replicate the canon looks of Dark. I can't be the first to try, right?

Absolutely true. Although Anti was way trickier. Dark isn't that hard, just time consuming. Well, his voice is is tough to get right. This one sounds hollow because I had to filter out the happy background music first, and I suck at sound editing xD
But I'd like to see what it would look like if other people give it a go :P Whenever I see green screen footage, it is just a free invitation to mess around with it!

Well, I'm not gonna do a video tutorial, but I've already written down how I carried out this project when someone else asked about it in the comments. I'll copy it for you. I hope this is helpful for you. Anyways: good luck on your own channel!
Tip #1: STAY DETERMINED AND DON'T GIVE UP, EVEN IF IT LOOKS WAY TOO HARD. Start off small. You'd be amazed at the amount of useful tutorials out there. You just have to figure out where to look. My general advice is: observe the original Darkiplier footage closely, and try to figure out how to copy that. Break it all down into little pieces. What do you see? This down here was my own thought process:
1) I looked at all of the original Darkiplier scenes and figured out what I roughly wanted to recreate. Then I downloaded the Darkiplier vs Antisepticeye bloopers video and brought it into my editing software.
2) I turned the green screen black. You can simply look up how chroma key works when you search for After Effects Chroma Key. Play around with the settings to make it more or less sensitive.
3) Dark is black and white. So I adjusted the saturation. Again, plenty of Saturation / Contrast / Color Correcting etc tutorials out there for After Effects to fine tune the colors. Play around with everything, it is the best way to learn :)
4) He regularly has a 3D effect to him. This one is a little tricky, but you've guessed it: there are tutorials on it! You can look into the direction of '3D effect', 'glitch effect' or 'RGB splitting'. *bonus
5) Making a bigger Dark pop up in the background: long live layering your tracks. Since it was filmed in front of a green screen, you can turn the background into whatever you want, including a zoomed in copy of what you currently have.
6) Finishing touch; Dark doesn't stay perfectly still in one place, he wobbles around and he flickers a bit. I suggest you look at 'how to move / animate an object' tutorials, so you can drag Dark around slightly :P I did the light flickering by continuously adjusting brightness just a tiny bit every couple of frames.
7) Audio......... I really don't know what I'm doing when it comes to audio xD I filtered out background noise with Audacity and then just messed around with settings like echo in Sony Vegas and hoped for the best.
