Beautiful and exquisite, a true Master at work. Thank you so much for posting the film. Incredible as it may seem but my wife's Great Great Grand Father was a professor at, I understand the University of Shanghai and must have been a patron to Zhang Shuqi /Chang Shu. For Great Great Grandfathers 85 birthday Zhang Shuqi gave Great Great Grand Father a large painting of a peacock with birthday wishes, in of course Chinese characters. We still have and enjoy that very much loved treasure today.

Hi Henry, There used to be a film on CZcams of Zhang Shu painting in front of and American audience. The film included shots of the audience and there reaction. Is that film clip still available to view? I thought that I had a link to that film but the link no longer works.

I wonder what paper did the great master use? It looks thick and the ink won't spread on the paper?

Western colored mat or art board.
