Hey everyone! Since there isnt a install video out yet I wanted to create one. Its pretty detailed, but if you have anymore questions please let me know in the comments.

I think you are the only american youtuber that have Kia Seltos content. It would be awesome if you could do more tutorials. There's a lot that we can do with our Seltos but since is so new there isn't any content for the american market. Only for india market.
Yes of course i will be coming out with new content soon! I have one video coming out for my Giulia next and then after that it will be able the Seltos. That’s why i wanted to create videos on the Seltos because there was only videos from India so I’m glad i can help in any way

Thanks for the video, your video was one of the very few that I was able to find for the US market Kia Seltos! What was the OEM bulb number you took off? I have a Honda element that I purchased an LED replacement bulb for that required no drivers, just curious to the OEM bulb number to see if I can find a non-driver LED bulb replacement. Also, thanks for the video showing how to get to that driver-side bulb...I thought about taking out the air filter box...

If I am reading this correctly I would ideally want to switch my EX system over to full LED: including 9005 for night, 9006 for fog? And what for daytime again??

You did well I'm your video my friend! I just bought a 2023 KIA SELTOS EX & am changing the headlight bulbs & fog light bulbs. They're so dim & certainly do not match the other LED lighting on the front.

The 9005 is a single filament (LED) headlight bulb that fits in the projector. Where does the low beam bulb go and does that also use a 9005?
Nice Content! Have you found any troubles with the LED Bulbs you listed? I’ve tried several LED en my Seltos and they always end up burning in one week or two. I’m looking forward on trying these ones you listed but have you got any «long term» reviews on them?
I installed these exact same ones and worked great. HOWEVER..9months later my right headlight like half burned out in lowbeams. Left one still works great. About to install some new ones.

I have auto headlights and fog lights will these work the same way? Also do I need separate bulbs for low and bright lights? And last what size do I need for fog lights
Finally someone put out some Seltos headlight bulb info!! You are awesome dude! Thank you a ton! My wife and I constantly complain about the pathetic headlights they put in the Seltos. Have you had any issues with the auto high beam switching? What did you do with the driver box on the LED bulbs? Does that cap screw back on or do you have to modify it somehow? Thanks again man!!

Yeah the OEM lights sucked ass lol. Auto high beam? I don’t think i have that feature - i have lx, not sure if the higher trims have that feature. I put the driver box in the headlight unit, there’s plenty of space and the cap screw goes back on perfectly

after looking at mine closer it looks like theres more working

I have the EX right now and idk if I should just upgrade to the SX LED fog lights or remain with the EX fog lights and put the led bulb inside. Would it even be possible to order the SX foglights and install them into my EX model??

I have that exact question. I have a Seltos but here in Puerto Rico is the S1 it came with led tailights and led drl but i halogen foglights (normal 1 circle) and halogen proyector.
I have a LX, unfortunately it doesn’t come with fog lights but you should be able to switch out the entire fog light unit for the SX one or upgrade the bulb - i believe people have done that because it should be the same size
I've actually seen more and more Seltos tbh as they are small SUBs with AWD they're becoming more popular really fast and cheap
What is the model number is the dtr bulb?
Does the dashlight come on saying that the headlights are burned out after installing the LED headlights? I was told that this is the case. And if this is the case, can you reset so the warning light goes off? My Seltos is a 2022.
Nope that does not happen. But in case that happens most likely you’ll be able to reset that light with an OBD reader to clear the code
Great Video! I would like to know what the model# is of the LED Bulb. I went to Auxito wbsite and they do not provide any bulbs for the Seltos. BTW...we have a 2022 model....not sure if they change anything. Can you please provide Model# for me. This is for my daughters car

Hey AlfaAk, Now, even the cap behind the headlights that says "Standard Bulbs Only" Now, by putting the LED will it mess up the projectors or anything in the headlights? Standard like bulbs sux and would like to install LED. Awesome vid btw!
Appreciate that! No it will not mess up the projector or anything else. All cars fitted with halogen headlight bulbs from the factory are suitable for LED conversion. Only thing that can happen is if the LED conversion kit/bulbs you got are faulty and cause issues.

@@JOEJOE9664 LED bulbs run cooler than stock halogens. They will not mess anything up.
Just make sure that when you're installing them that the led's face in the 3 & 9 o'clock position (left & right). And in most cases the power wire for the bulb will be in the straight down position when installed, so that will put the bulb led's in the 3 & 9 o'clock position you need for the projector housing.
Best led bulbs to get are ones with the built in led driver or the one that is inline with the power wire. That will eliminate any dash warning lights or flickering & keep the bulb running properly.
Now, unless you find a 9005 led bulb that has a 360° led pattern on top, which means led chips the whole way around the bulb, instead of just on the left and right sides, then when you install it, no need to align the bulb or ne need to make sure it's in a 3 & 9 o'clock position, becuase the 360° led arrangement will simulate a actual round bulb. And the projector housing will act the way it should.

My Seltos headlight is aiming very low to the ground and I cannot see very good at night. How do you adjust or aim the headlight so it will aim out further? Thanks
You just need to twist the bulbs
I have an EX and have been wanting to replace my headlights, too, but the dealer discouraged me saying that if that replacement bulb causes any issues, my warranty wouldn’t cover those issues. I asked the service department if they could change the bulb for me and they said they would only replace it with the same bulb that came with the car. I hate the halogen bulbs. How did you know which LED bulb to purchase? I’d like to buy them and see if I can get the dealer to replace them. Thanks!
Dealers say that with any single part that is not factory/OEM. But like any warranty, they would have to cover an issue unless they can guarantee/prove that your after market part caused that specific issue.
I opened up the headlight unit and saw it was a 9005 bulb and so any 9005 LED kit would work. Also a lot of other people with Seltos have switched out their halogen bulbs with LED kits like mine.
I don’t think the dealership would install this LED kit for you, they may only just replace the bulb with a different bulb.
So you can ask them, show them the link i posted in the description that’s the LED kit i used. Or you can go this route and get a brighter bulb. Something like this will be brighter and bluish/white light

So you said the bulbs had drivers. Where do you plug the drivers into? You didn't show that part and I'm curious. I don't want to buy them and not know where the driver gets plugged into.
So the drivers are apart of the bulbs, you plug in the bulbs and just tuck in the drivers into the back/bottom headlight - there’s plenty of space in there

I had my bulbs replaced however they do shake/wobble when going over bumps on the road. Any thoughts ?
You need to check if you twisted them in place correctly, they should not wobble

It does not, you’re able to do high beam when needed as normal
Only thing pissing me off about this car are the headlights. Really wanted LEDs for the projector lens instead of HID because they have stupid low operating hours before they burn out but NOTHING says it does low and high beam. Not a single bulb says it can do dual beams on the packaging without it being 2 separate bulbs. Would anyone happen to know if all bulbs can do low and high beam in the same bulb? Every time I look it up “9005 LED high and low beam bulbs” it wants to give me two different bulbs…but the Seltos only has one bulb in that projector section from what I see. Last car I owned I had to put headlight bulbs in was from the 90’s and they were definitely two different bulbs. Yet I can do a high and low beam for the stock bulbs in this ‘21 Seltos.
How come when you go to amazon it says it does not fit the 2021 Seltos, but it seems as it does since you put them on yours. I have a 2021 Seltos LX and really want to do this.
Yeah it’s fine it will still fit. A lot of sites don’t have the seltos in their system yet

Hey, I own a 2021 Kia Seltos. It has projector halogen fog lights. Can the bulb be replaced by a LED one. I appreciate any comment. I have tried several times to remove the bulb and I can’t. Is it any specification that I should know? I’m afraid to break it. I have follow instructions from other channels and it does not work. Those halogen bulbs are stocked in the projectors. Thank you!

You are awesome! I bought the led bulbs, but about to give up because I have not been able to remove the halogen bulb. I unplugged it, twisted to right and it does not move 😭

With a pry tool i believe that’s what others have used. I tried it once for a sec, it was annoying and lol i thought i was about to break it
@@AlfaAK101 I wanted to say thanks for the information about the lights, I have basic AWD LX. I did take the fuse box lid off and was able to have enough room to get to the left head light without having to take wheel well cover off. As for the the position lights(tiny light on side. When you open hood, there is a gap at each corner. I put my hand in there and was able to pop the lights out with no problem, no breaking, and no scratching. Just a little tip for future. Thanks again! Just keep us Seltos owners in loop with new 4k ways!!! Positive vibes!!
I order the same exact bulbs for my kia Seltos ex and i got the headlight ones working bt i couldn't figure out how to remove the fog light bulb. It won't even rotate, is there a trick to it?
I asked around to people with the fog lights, they said you need to turn and pull and they’ll come off. Also search on CZcams if you can find a video

Yes it’s the 2021 seltos. Yes there is only one bulb that has low and high beam in it. And Yes that is all you need lol
If you’re not buying the exact one i posted in the description. Make sure with whatever kit you’re buying it says it’s low and high beam together

Correct, the hard part is getting to the old bulbs since the space is tight. Other than that it’s easy

@@AlfaAK101 I switched from a luxury vehicle because I wanted to cut back on my expenses. So im trying to get use to it. It's a lease so I can't do much to it. But it's a cool ride. I'm slowly getting used to it. But I hate the car play for android. A touchless trunk would have been cool. Movies should play on the screen.

@@AlfaAK101 could you please double check the link then because from the ends and even in the description they refer to them as high or low not both
So I just picked up my seltos and realised what the issue is, the bulb is basically a high beam base on lumens but because it's a projector headlamp (the harness in it goes in and out to give the high/low effect) it will work perfectly. Thanks for the recommendation for the bulb

Yup....exactly what I thought, bullshit bulbs yet put into projectors for some reason.
I just paid 31k last week for the top seltos model and didn't even get hid/led lights when my other car (2017 Nissan sentra) that cost 22k after ttl has them, PLUS dual a.c, and nav. I love the seltos but for its price, it should atleast have dual a.c ffs...yeah thats on me, but I couldn't figure the ac controls while testing so wrongly assumed it has it. And the touchscreen would have nav.
I accept its on me, but cmon really kia? Just totally fucks their customers. I only went with kia because of the warranty, noone else offering an suv with a strong warranty beyond 3 years
