I watch hearthstone channels mainly to fantasize what it's like to mulligan a hand and not be greeted with all of the 5+ cards in your deck
I watch it since I cant craft all these epics and legendaries
I watch the game because it's easier, faster, and cheaper to do so than to actually play it, not to mention better for the old nerves.

This deck can really surge with tempo when it lines up. Seems like the deck has a hard time winning without Archmage but it makes me happy when Classic cards are viable

I miss freeze mage. I doubt it would really even be very good today since the only things added to it would be like Ray of Frost and that armor breaker tech card and the rest of the meta has sped up so much

I actually put a Sandbinder in mine just because the only cards you really need are your cyclones or giants. Unfortunately you sometimes low-roll and get Spellwing, so I'm not entirely sure if it's worth or not.

I run Mountain Giants and Conjurers callings instead of Antonia's, so I can empty my hand better.
The draw works well when you have a bad hand, and can feed your Chenvallah well.
I didn't like Sandbinder because there's so many elementals in the deck that it just felt like running Gnomish inventor
That last opponent definitely gave themselves the best chance with Nozdormu AKA the Trump-slayer.

4:26 misplay. After playing the first arcane breath, should have played arcane missiles to check rng. If the missiles go worst case all face, you can still reassess at this point. The cost is that it's possible you miss 1 face damage which is almost inconsequential. The benefit is that you guaranteed kill one minion instead of leaving both at 1 in the worst case scenario.
Any tips for me? ( I am a mage player) I can’t run that deck because I don’t have all the cards. At the moment I am playing a sort of the cast 10 spell deck. If you have a tip feel free to give it me

I could never LOL at Nightmare alagam. Even before Battlegrounds, it still had the 'all types' text. The reason it wasn't used much is merely the lack of race-synergy cards.
That was an insane set of games. Trump was playing really well for that. It's fun to see him playing a deck he made and doing really well with it.
Against that rogue, for how many turns his board got frozen?
i like this deck, problem i had initially was deciding what to replace the 2x Knightmare Amalgam with(no dust and No Amalgam in my collection). So at first i tried Firehawk and they were quite good, but sometimes quite useless, so i changed 1 out for Azerite Elemental, 2 games later i changed the other for a 2nd copy of Azerite Elemental. Have 1 out for 3 turns and hey presto 10pt fireballs on one game with both Azerite Elemental i did a 20pt fireball!!!

I actually built a super similar deck just a few days ago. Hell, I crafted Nightmare Amaglum for it, but I couldn't figure out if it's better for a value, burst deck or more tempo, and I had alot more dragon synergy
Have to give props to the rogue for tossing a Nozdormu against Trump. Imagine if they were able to drop Nozdormu on the first Alexstraza and chain others and finish with the new Ysera.

scatch was one off lethal with fireball fireball fireball hit with antonidus and the 3/1 , he had the apprentice out. 24 damage you had 25. he would have closed the next turn, he grossly missplayed.

@@Futuristic271 Actually, even control players hate freeze so it's way worse. Freeze locks down bomb minions like Giants and whatnot.
It starts to get unfair when there is too much of it. Ray of Frost definitely adds a bit too much
@@TheFuzzician Yeah basically, it's two freezes, removal and cycle. Also doesn't help that being able to freeze at one mana twice can stall for lethal too easy.

Fun but not competitive enough. I have played this decklist as a homecooking with 2 cards different - and it wasn't amalgam! - before as early as day 2 of expansion and later as well - it's decent when it works but once you lowroll it's painfull. It's even more casino than casino mage lol xd Tried improving it in various ways but doesn't seem to work. Deck works well against proactive decks that are board oriented which typically was the major population in hs. However this meta is anomally in that materia as we have way less of those than usual. Most often you are just putting too little pressure in those match-ups so opponent has time to setup into broken cards or simply burn you out.
Fun but mediocore.

@@MohamedHassan-zq7bi Cheapest competitive deck is face hunter but it isn't everyone cup of tea. Than you have token druid, mech pally and galazoo warlock. 5-th is embiggen druid. Than you cross 6k dust mark for gala warrior, pirate warrior and cheaper versions of gala and questgala shamans. Rest sensible decks is in range of 10k dust and more.

I'd ditch Stargazer Luna for maybe the new or classic Alexstrasza. Already have so much card gen with this deck it seems t be under utilized.

Does anyone here know a good way to work around not having Archmage Antonidas? Either another Legendary or even swapping out a few other cards that he synergizes with to cover a few weaknesses of this deck?
Tony isn't that good anyway. Not great meta for him. You can replace it 1 to 1 with sjamat i guess but will be weaker.
Other way of doing it is removing either spelldamage package - 2 shooting, -2 dragon, - toni + 1 more useful dragon or semi elly package -2 amalgams -2 allies for mountain giant package by means of 2x banana, 2x mountain. Nowadays you don't need to have conjurers to make your giant taunt, you can bluff it. On the other hand you won't be able to wait so long to conj your mountain in one turn.
Third way is to switch even more - 2x banana, 2xgiant AND 2x3 mana minion generation dude. Helps a lot against slower decks - similar to Tony - and with face decks you most often lose anyway.
Whatever you do don't put in AI or Zilly.
Learn Drakonic sidequest does not make the cut in this deck?

Yeah as Yotam said - it's either 1 mana or 0 mana. Tried it earlier and was first thing to cut - too slow due to awkwardness. Not terrible but wasn't worth it at the end of a day.
I don’t have Antonidas but you mentioned that you considered playing Nomi. What do you think about playing him instead?

I really loved the new dragons and galakrond and other stuff, but playing against Face Hunter and Res Priest over and over again ruined the expansion for me
Last match could have been scummed out if the Rogue exploited the Norzdomu bug where if he played him first and then Ysera right before the timer ran out, the Dream Portal animations might have timed Trump out.
What is highroll? Like what you aim for in opening hand?

highroll meaning you get your strongest cards or combo pieces early. The opposite would be like having Zephrys, new Alex and Reno on the bottom of your deck

I played it with 2 cards difference on day 2 but didn't netdeck so idk if sth very similar was there so early.
Love this deck is fun
I'm honestly suprised one doesn't see more fire hawks, considering it is, if played on turn 3, often at least a 7/3 and even in the later game, it is most of the time still very well statted for a 3-drop
Issue is it's aggro card. If you are defensively mindseted it's as good as 4-3 taunt on turn 3 with possible later downside. There are viable decks around that have sth like 3-5 spells in whole deck. That's no bueno. You have to play it in aggro deck so you can protect it on board which means being already ahead on turn 3. Token druid prefers tokens, zoolock has dragonknight cultist for pseudo rager on steroids, pure cant play it, murlocs too synergistic, combo needs health. Not many aggro proactive board oriented decks left. No bueno.

Tried this deck and it seems very inconsistent and very weak in the meta. Out of 20 games I won 1. (Starting at Rank 2)
Thorsten Böhme The deck is t3. That's a reason he says the word highroll so much. Edit: trash legend players are worse and less tryhard than 3/2-1 players too
The fact you continued to use the deck after losing so many games tells us more about you than you think.

Trump is of the opinion that the regular hero power is superior to the quest hero power.
@@Avatarbee I see great "expert" =D Well, quest in this deck is terrible indeed. Better solution is double sidequest with questings but probably still not worth it. Once you understand why quest in this deck is so bad you maybe can consider yourself somewhat good player xd Till than count on luck.
It costs you a card and you don't have the mana to use the new hero power. His hand is constantly full in all the games anyway.
