It sounds like you have real dedication to making a tribute (in this case your brothers' street stock) model as accurate as possible to the real car. I respect that & I'm the same way building model cars only, almost ocd about getting things "right". I think your brothers' car & your nice representation are way cool.I raced here in Alabama ,on asphalt ,late 70's-mid 80's in "Limited Sportsman" division 1969 Chevelle, probably similar beat & bang as Riverhead. I hope you'll build more cool stock cars.
Happy New Year Shane and thanks so much! It was really cool to build and after learning some new tips and tricks, I would have loved to have been a little more accurate, but I think it turned out pretty good. I definitely plan on building more stock cars and race cars in the future. So many kits and ideas, just not enough time haha. Thanks again and stay tuned for more to come friend.
Where at in alabama i started racing when I was 9 at sunny south gateway asphalt bull ring in grand bay al in a 4 cylinder mistang mini stock then moved up few years later to mobile intl speedway into superstocks and sportsmens and i have raced other divisons as well at mobile five flags, South Alabama Speedway and nashville fairgrounds
Very nice work
Nice build. Good work on the paint.
Great job. Really sharp
Thanks! Stressful at times and learned a bunch doing it but loved how it came out. Thanks for watching!
Great job on the stock car! Merry Christmas!! ❄🎄🎅

Great job on the old stack car, my brother and I raced back in the 80s and 90s, it was lots of fun! I Loved the photos of the actual car, very cool! Just subbed.
Thank you so much for the kind words! So glad you enjoyed the video. Yea, it was great to watch him race back in the day and just be at a local short track. Definitely some good memories. Thanks again and have a Happy New Years!
Solid job done on this car. Subbed and looking forward for more builds. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
Thanks so much! I definitely have more builds on the way. Probably too many and not enough time for them all 😂. Thanks again friend!
Looks great.
Thanks man, much appreciated!
Nice build, just found your channel and I subscribed
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed the videos and thanks for subscribing! It’s very much appreciated
Very nice iv yet to build a nas kit
Thanks! I love the nascar kits. Easy to build and some of these cars look amazing.
@@MyHobbyWorkShop sure do like yours we don't get them in Ireland so iv to wait a while for the world to get back to normal b4 buying online otherwise ill be paying 4 times what kit is worth in America u know wit online adouble price then shipping then they always insure it the sellers so if don't land there reimburstbin insurance and wen they insure it it gets my country to add a collection fee from customs u know so not worth while buyin online
Geez that sounds like a hassle! Hopefully you get your hands on one one day. Some of the paint schemes are beautiful.
@@MyHobbyWorkShop oh i know but i will ye find some good reliable english sellers thats only cople hours ship ride aross sea they do have some nice good rare kits as o i am keeping eye open great stuff keep it up 👍👍👍👍💯%
Nice job on your model i cant say remember seeing this car race at riverhead was it a street stock or bunderbust. I was jr would make a impala caprice. Nascar of Richard petty so we could get a impala caprice body to make a blunderbust model. What wheels rims did you use
It was the blunderbust division. I’ll have to look up the wheels and tires but I believe I bought them from mikes decals.
How did you do the dent in the side? looks really good.
Hey George! I used a lighter to heat up the side of the panel and then used a pen or my exacto knife and pushed on it. The sides will get nice and soft as it heats, then you can put dents and what not in it. Just keep the flame far away and don’t over do it cause it’ll melt it.
Man I would love to buy one just like this of my dads car if u could build me one I’d pay you for it
