I really love the direction you're taking this channel! It's so much higher quality. And your research is incredible! You don't skip over things that a lot of science CZcamsrs would.
Although I'm a doctor and his explanation is a walk in the park, I would never thought that my perception would change dramatically. Applying philosophy with science keeps me wake up at night. This is one example - existentialism.
You know what The first part kinda reminds me of that "Boat Paradox", a old boat is always having its parts replaced by new ones and when all the parts are replaced, the old parts form a "new" boat, but thats the paradox: which is the original boat? The boat with new parts or the one which was recreated using old parts? Well, personally I think what makes this paradox a true paradox is because the boat isnt a living being, it doesnt have consiousness, but we, humans, have, we know who we are even if our body is replaced because of our neurons, thats my personal answer for this paradox
I liked the Japanese answer to the paradox. Basically “of course it’s the same”…because it’s the same idea. It’s the same feeling. You are rebuilding your ship or your building, which has a specific purpose and a meaning to you. Thus no matter what new materials are added, it is still your ship because it was built that way.
@@Eggyteevee Probably more spiritual than the original paradox was intended to be, but I live in Kansas where the weather can just decided “your house isn’t gonna be there anymore” and rip everything but the foundations up. So that’s my view as well. “Well of course there are new parts, the old parts are halfway across town right now. It’s still our house. We’ll still live here.

It also loses its affect once it leaves your body but still can ruin your teeth if your vomiting on purpose often, like the eating disorder for example which they often vomited and the vomit rots some teeth.
I always wondered where the body kept all the genes like is it in every single cell? I thought there would be a place where the original copy would be held or something like that.
Yeah there's the same genetic information in pretty much every single cell of our bodies, though it is expressed differently depending on its function. As for having an original copy, I guess the closest thing would be the stem cells that we have in our bodies, since they are the most undifferentiated, but even them arent the same as our original cell so yeah
I love your content man. The quality of the content and the information being disclosed along with your jokes and personality and charming Slavic accent (I have a soft spot for it, it might be my Finnish heritage lol), with the subtitles make for amazing videos.
I feel like since covid all my social skills are gone cuz ive been isolated and just been watching memes and i met my old friend and boy was it awkward
the old videos of him is interesting and educational but without him talking just subtitles, so the recent and this videos of him talking in the video make the video more alive and fun so this is an upgrade for sure, also i like his accent :-)
I remember your videos from way back when you didn’t appear or speak. I must confess, I love your accent, I have no trouble understanding you, and this new format is a great idea, I think I prefer it over the past format. Videos where a host speaks to the audience usually connect better and feel more personal. This should be a great change for the better.
Bro made the best decision this channel could see. The videos have been changed from the repetive content to this reborn success. I was about to unsubcribe, but I’m very glad that I didn’t. And it is all because of you!😄
Wasn't expecting to become scared. You did it though. Also thought on the fact that our universe is infact not expanding. Along with how our models on space were considerably of concerning astroids.
Such a great and informative video. I can not understand why CZcams age-restricted it. It's ridiculous. Younger people could also learn something from this video.
That's why I like the Super Mutant idea of Fallout, they live indefinitely because their cells became perfected to the point that not even radiation can affect their replication. But because sexual cells are "half cells", they become esterile. Also some super mutant strains induce even more replication, which is incompatible with neurons, turning them into behemoths, massive creatures whose brains couldn't keep up with the transformation.
The concept of a replica and brain transplant yet still being susceptible to some conditions reminds me of the Doom Patrol tv show(it's like Umbrella Academy with half the budget but twice the weirdness of it. In fact, the Umbrella A. comics were inspired by Doom Patrol comics). In it, there's this Robotman character who is actually a man who had died in a car accident. Only his brain was "saved" and it was put into a robotic body. Long story short, he developed Parkinson.
There was a story said in a Wanda-vision episode told by vision to the other vision. A ship was made out of woods, and everytime woods are damaged, we completely change that wood. After years, there could be enough wood to build exact same ship out of all the damaged woods, while the old ship has all new woods. So, the ship made out of woods containing the damages (memories) is the real ship now? Or the original ship, though not containing any of the original woods (memories) is the real ship?
Our conciousness is an emergent phenomenon, it isn't a constant either. Since who you are strongly altered when you for example use magical mushrooms or DMT.
I’ve always questioned this…I have Multiple Sclerosis. Have been diagnosed for over 20 years via lumbar puncture. In theory…shouldn’t these cells be replicated in a “new” form? … Yet they’re probably replicating off of the damaged cells. Just my luck. 🤦♀️
Cells die when stem cells of the said cells no longer function, that's because of telomeres ( the ends of DNA ) decreases everytime your cell mitotically divides

Thinking about this gives me anxiety 😭
okay but you are underrated
Merry xmas 🎄
What an explanation
That's very interesting.
Our "OG" self is our brain and nervous system, the rest of the body is a suit of flesh and bone.
There was a story said in a Wanda-vision episode told by vision to the other vision.
A ship was made out of woods, and everytime woods are damaged, we completely change that wood. After years, there could be enough wood to build exact same ship out of all the damaged woods, while the old ship has all new woods. Our conciousness is an emergent phenomenon, it isn't a constant either.
Since who you are strongly altered when you for example use magical mushrooms or DMT.
In the future, our successor will live for 200 years. As the neurons can live that long and technology advances

Wrong we don't lose information(book),
We lose the ability to read information(reader)
Cells are not the book. The brain is the book. The brain stores information not cells.

Entropy always wins , but if it doesn't

Why am I watching this at 4 AM - 4 hours before an important meeting? 🙈 (No sleep today nananana.)
Welp thats why ill clone myself so whatever was original and havent aged my clone with my cells will never die
YES

Cells die when stem cells of the said cells no longer function, that's because of telomeres ( the ends of DNA ) decreases everytime your cell mitotically divides
