- I got my hands on this discontinued and highly sought after fuel door for the Celicas. It didn't come with the actual chrome Toyota gas cap so I got some eBay "TRD" one. Looks way better anyways. Let me know what you think!

some time in the early/mid 2000s, a trusted vendor on newcelica by the name of I wanna say....Vitek? used to run little group buys here and there. so after building up trust from the entire forum, he decided he'd run the group buy of all group buys. every rare item including this fuel lid. no one got their items and we all got got. I ended up $250 poorer with no fuel lid. many guys lost thousands. years later I finally got my hand on one. still got it. lol. enjoy it, bro.

I JUST found out that the gas cap cover thing you bought works for more modern Toyota/Lexus vehicle gas caps. It covers it perfectly, like on a 2013 RAV4 & 2010 GS350.

bought one and I need to replace the gas door this helps a ton, going with bolts over rivets.
Don't know which one to go with tbh, i heard people target Celicas with them and try to steal it.

Great Find Lucky You! The Gas Cap Cover Will Not Fit The OEM You Have To Buy *Stant Cap*
300 bucks for a gas door. They can keep it. I would get some plexi and fashion my own if need be. But nice tutorial I always wanted to know how to remove the OEM gas door and install a new one.
I just got it to flex since they are pretty rare, but yea hard to justify paying $300+ for em

looks nice but i dont like the hotglue idea, better some epoxy..hot glue is really bad in the sun it melts

Why didnt you just glue the cap straight on? Hot glue is strong enough
I did but it wasn’t strong enough

Haha yes, I just used what I had. Some cardboard and 3M tape, haven’t had any problems thus far, still holding strong 💪🏽

@@equinoxgts thanks, I found out the part numbers don't match up. Turns out someone does make knock off clear doors though, and they use the same trd filler cap cover for the gt86. They make them for celicas and corolla.
