There is always a tank near the southern beacon. Also dont use fast travel as it may makes you exit the mission and nothing will spawn in at the beacon. Had this issue on both when i went for that achievement and when i went back to replay on legendary
The solution is, go the East beacon that's next to the spite entrance after the bridge after the cutscene cause it triggers the script to go to the 4 beacons. So after that you fast travel to the south beacon. :)))) did just now, first time Normal Difficulty.
I actually got this achievement without ever using the scorpion. Got it on a legendary playthrough without even trying. I had a razorback loaded up with marines in every seat with rocket launchers. I let the marines take out all the enemies around the beacon and the game still somehow gave me credit for the achievement. Wild

I tried it with the Scorpion and it didn't pop. It may have been the marine that hopped in the turret, or maybe I just missed enemies. Good to know it can be cheesed with the tank gun!

i did the steps (restart the sequence with tank gun on me) every time i goto the southern beacon there is no enemy spawning
Edit: it worked after i closed and relaunched the game and just chose to run where needed to be for enemies to spawn
this achievement is mad bugged! just tried to restart the mission 3 times and it never popped. i searched for and lingering enemies each time. I even used the actual scorpion and still never popped
I’ve just tried it now with the scorpion gun and it didn’t work so I think 343 have patched it with the scorpion gun.
@@Revved_up_jb I got the achievement on coop with both players using a fresh new game save. We both hopped into the tank at the south beacon and we both got the achievement.
Any reason why the when I go to the location in your video, I don't have the option to change to tank gun?
you hAVE to replay the mission you cant just fast travel there
Can you not do this through mission replay? The building is already open for me and there are no enemies anywhere

@@Reedy695I eventually got it but idk what I did. Try fast travelling or arrivinfon vehicle. Basically reload the area. Hopefully that helps
They might have patched the ability to do it with the tank gun because it didn’t work for me, took everyone out with the tank gun then left the area, found the scorpion and all the enemies were there again. Took them out with the tank and it popped up 👍🏽
no you can still do it. Just make sure you find and kill every single enemy

So they put the tank gun back in or did it never leave?
They put it back in after a ton of people complained. They should have never removed it!
I can confirm as of 20/06/2024 the tank gun is not viable for getting this achievement. Get the Scorpion tank
How the hell do u get it to spawn because everyone makes it look easy and for some reason I can’t get it to spawn
For me it was the other canon unlike the video. Just try all 4.
Do I have to restart the mission “the sequence” again? Cause when I go there at the south beacon, there’s no enemies there. You said @2:12, “ once the sequence is active again”… I can’t make that happen though? How is that sequence active?
Yeah, go to the Sequence on the map and resume/restart it.
