Not sure I agree on the assessment of De Gea. He's an AMAZING shot stopper, but:
1. He makes far more than his share of errors
2. As you said, his box presence is atrocious. Easily one of the worst if not the worst in the league
3. Can't play out from the back
4. He's a quitter, not a fighter. Remember him lying on the ground against Arsenal last year while the ball was in play because he got stepped on (by his own player)?
I'm not sure his world-class shot-stopping is enough to cover all his other deficiencies. Having a leader between the sticks makes a team's defense better. He's definitely won ManU plenty of games, but he's also cost them plenty. It's his job to win them games.
