funny story about the dynamite cover: taka really sprung the idea to do the cover on the rest of the members and he only gave them one day to learn the choreo. tomoya (drummer) actually has no idol background so he mentioned later that it was a struggle to get it down and he did some of his own kind of free styling. haha. also note the lyric change from 'funk and soul' to 'rock and roll' in the cover which is perfect for the band.

I have a secret love of country music too haha. I grew up around it and still have a secret playlist of country songs hahah - Lean.
oor fans were originally called 'clockers' because of the band's name originating from one o clock which is the time at late night when the band used to rehearse when they were first starting out since it was cheaper to rent the studio during those late night/early morning hours. The fandom was later renamed as 'one ok rockers' because it's what taka has called the fans both on and off stage.
I love that. The creative hour as we call it and totally relatable.

Hi Lean and Loo! Been loving your reactions to ONE OK ROCK 💘. To answer your question, fans of ONE OK ROCK are called ONE OK ROCKers (or OORers for short).
Toru (Guitar) and Ryota (Bass), as you know, were in a dance group back when they were young called HEADS! Later on Toru started the band and encouraged Ryota to learn bass. Taka (Vocalist) was a former idol as well, and later Toru recruited him to be the band's singer. As he was born to parents who are singers, he was pretty much exposed to music growing up. He knows how to play the piano and guitar and has used them in various performances in his career in OOR. Tomoya (Drums) studied in a music academy before getting introduced to ONE OK ROCK, and contributed a lot in making OOR's sound cohesive during their early years due to his wide knowledge in music theory.
Y'all are right - they truly are so cuddly 😭 I think the both of you would love their Flip the Coin documentary on Netflix. This docu follows the band as they prepare for their first online concert held in 2021 called 'Field of Wonder' (this concert can be bought via DVD or Bluray format!). ONE OK ROCK has some really good concert DVDs they've released in the past, and most of the live performances you see on their CZcams channel are just a taste of their greatness, if I say so myself. All OORers agree that their live stuff are way better than their studio recordings - that's how GOOD they are at their craft 🔥

Tbh, their version is better than the original because their version contains moody drums and rhythm guitar.

They werent all in idol training, but Taka was indeed, and Toru and Ryota were in a hiphop dance group since childchood, before Toru lost the passion for it and decided to start a band xd and Tomoya is the only one with higher education in music, so it seems, they were all drawn to music since before the band :)

Btw, there is a channel named "One Ok Taka", they use AI to cover many songs with Taka's voice. Maybe you can try listen Seven -Jungkook BTS covered by Taka AI voice. I love Taka's textured voice lol

One Ok Rock made a song ft Avril Lavigne "Listen". But if I'm not mistaken, it's only available on spotify japan version(?) You can find a fanmade video of it in yt. It's a fanmade but 12M views lol. But yes of course, the live version of it in ambitions japan tour 2017 was more powerful, although it's a bit sad that Avril couldn't perform together on the stage with Taka

The issue is streaming the videos. The quality we stream and watch is fine. What the server records is wholly dependent on the internet strength for CZcams stream. What we ourselves get recorded and have sound recording for are local recordings to our home internets, and we get them as separate downloads. Those are 3 different things. We have no control over the CZcams stream, or the live stream servers. We have the best quality setups, the best-paid versions of the streaming platform and we use the official links to songs you guys send us. We cannot do any more. That is maximum effort. - Lean.
