Hi Jen and Lauren, I would like to thank you for this awesome way of helping Woman to approach Bible Study on a knowledgeable way. I have started watching your Podcast and then life got in the way and I forgot all about it, only to bump into it again 2 weeks ago and I now got to the end of it with the questions and answers. I loved the way how you answered a listener's question of how to incorporate Bible Study in a busy life, because you didn't crush her by telling her she just have to find time! No, you have compassion for people in their various stages of life as you yourself experienced life and how it impacts a person's life and time. I also believe God has compassion for us as we struggle through life's hurdles. As a 51 year old Mother and resently Grandmother, I have been brought up in a very Conservative environment in South Africa, in an era where gospel and politics were taboo subjects mostly anywhere and also no Internet to find out either. So I never got to learn about Bible Study and how it can form part of daily life discussions. Only now that I am through raising my children and have Internet access and time, I've found the endless knowledge of how one can study the Bible and how you can implement it in daily life. I still haven’t been able to realy study the Bible for myself, altough I have read heather and teather, once read the Bible through on the People of the Bible method and is currently busy reading the Bible Chronologically, very slowly and with deep pondering on every few verses that I have read. However, I will always be thankful to my Mom, who have read to us from a Children's Bible when we were small and my relationship with God happened naturally because of that. I have also read that same Bible to my children and somehow I could discuss the Word of God with my children in someway and to some extent, but hearing how you were able to bring the Word to your children I realized that I could have done more, knowing then what I know now. But I also realize that I have an opportunity to do it differently with my grandchildren and I can only pray that God will give me the wisdom and the words as I interact with my grandchildren and also with my adult children since it is never to late to start something new.
