So after owning brv automatic for 15months now ..i can say its a great vehicle .. Resale of honda petrols are more ..+maintainence is less + you can strech full legs and almost sleep (flat bed) if you sit in 3rd row and fold 2nd row + cost 2.0 lakhs less with discount ..i think the place inside brv is 1.5times that of creata .unfortunetly it failed to a large extend ..part of the blame must go to honda as well 16lakh car was introduced without parking sensors which were available as accessory for 5k !!! FINALLY I AM YET TO SEE A BRV OWNER WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT IT POST PURCHASE!!

Honda BRV is a very good performer in city's high traffic conditions and on the highway too. Have been driving it since 2 years, odometer stands at 18000 plus kms, and the car is going stronger and better, it provides great ride quality, driving experience and comfort. And as Autocar says, its true, that it is better and most sensible than the other car mentioned in the video any given day. I definitely recommend the BRV.

nice review and I agree completely.
Unless you are completely sold on Creta's looks, BRV is the right choice. It has better ride quality, better engine & power, better CVT experience, far more space in lesser price. What more ?

I just bought a brv its gonna be a month old and it's the best car, which I have driven.
It gives power when needed for an overtake and it has a plenty of space for family and equipment.
Me being a adventure junkie and like long drives and camping outside.
It's best for carrying all that equipment and my bbq grill fits very comfortably.
I bought the V version and I got gps nav and rear park camera separately.
With 210mm ground clearance, it's very easy to go over pot holes and speed bumper with ease.
In my opinion BRV are for those people who loves outdoors and can't sit still in the house.

Now the BRV makes lot more sense with reverse parking camera and sensor and 7 inch touch infotainment system coming factory fitted, and during the festival offer honda fest, BRV VX MT is cheaper than Hyundai Creta SX+ by 1.5 lakhs and with this addition has same features. Plus you get a reliable honda with 7 seats or 690 lt boot when 3rd row folded (which i prefer). Ur opinion?

Very good review of BR-V. Just launched in Pakistan. We already have Honda HRV and Vizel here. HRV available here for 36lakh and BRV for 23 lakh pak rupees. Both by Atlas Honda officially. Whereas Vizel, the hybrid one is available as imported car for rupees almost 30 lakh in good condition, 2-3 years old.

36 lakh Pakistani Rupees for the HRV means close to 21 lakh INR. On the same range of the midrange Innova Crysta. That sounds like a good deal.

but when we pay around 11 lakhh there are missing the 3rd row seats in many more cars in this sagement
but honda could provide it and also the BRV's perfrmance is also good and the only thing is missout in this car is rear parking camera and the touchscreen ....I compromise it because all things have pros and cons

On the basis of all facts & figures Honda Brv is proved a smart SUV. Others like creta, duster, S Crass are compact SUVs but not as smart as BRv. It is also a matter of fact that BRv has discontinued but others are still in the showrooms and few are selling like hot cakes.
Definitely brv did not pack with touch screen, reverse camera (R cam) in the beginning and added later, but these are not the whole things. Brv is having 2 seats extra which is more useful than touch screen & R cam. Touch screen & reverse camera can be implanted from out side but 2 extra seats can not be implanted.
Other SUV designers mostly concentrated on one seat (driver's seat) only but designers of brv are concentrated on all seats. Friends, there are no any universally accepted definition of SUVs. Different experts, diff. Peoples, different nations are having their own definitions . Brv maximally fits on variety of definitions of SUVs.
Honda tried to give a smart useful 7 seater SUV in price of existing 5 seater SUVs. Despite of having lots of useful qualities BRV failed to attract majority of indian people , reasons are multiple, may be Weak marketing, lack of awareness in customers, destiny related factor etc.
There is needless uproar of offroading in the market. In india only 1 to 2 % people go for offroading. They also not go for it very often. Peoples are very busy in their onroad works. They travel point to point and also wishes to travel on smooth plane roads. So, for indian peoples (except forest and army officials) needless to search for 4WD . Front wheel derive ( FWD) vehicle is most sufficient for them. Brv, creat, duster (except few models), S cross all are FWD.
Brv is a stylish, stable, powerful, comfortable, spacious, mileage frugal & peppy smart SUV.
If we look for a little comparison between BRV, Creta, Duster, S Cross then we can see the Brv is the most qualified SUV over others.
    A) Ground clearance - Brv 210mm, creta 190mm, duster 205mm, S cross 180 mm.
    B) Tyre size - 16 inch for all.
    C) CC - nearly 1.5 for all with few minor differences
    D) Average (petrol) - between 15 l. to 18 l. for all
    E) Kerb wt. - between 1100 kg to 1300 kg for all
So dear friends, Conclusively a vehicle ( BR V) having 210mm ground clearance (maximum in segment), very bold & stylish look, carrying 7 persons comfortably, 16 inches tyre, peppy engine (smooth ivtec) and very stable on roads can be surely called as a smart SUV. Initially Brv was lacking in few features ( touch & R cam) so creta & duster are also lacking in ground clearance & 2 extra seats. Extra seats and ground clearance are much more important than touch & R cam . Touch & R cam can be externally implanted.
BRV , Creta definitely not having 4WD but who needs for 4WD , not 98 % of peoples and rest 2 % also don't use 4WD frequently.

I do not like SUV type cars but BRV is a clear winner. Paddle shift is nice feature to have. We can get parking sensor or rear camera that is not a deal braker IMO. Handling wise all honda cars I have driven are fun. In the review also it says steering is better so not surprised. Also the window is really big in BRV in second row which makes a lot of difference. BRV is versatile with space by folding 3rd row and ground clearance for off road is also better. I do not understand why people prefer Creta

these days honda sucks... It is going Maruti way... offering same stuff in different packages... Hyundai is serving us well. its because of Hyundai that indian cars have all those features unlike past when 11 lac Honda city didn't have auto AC. Hyundai has grown leaps n bounds. All they need is to get that stable ride quality on highways... rest in all departments, Hyundai trumps its competition hands down...

The car was good to drive, but I decided against buying the car considering the build quality and rattling. 2 Years and 11k kms is too less for a 14 lakh car to start rattling, which was disappointing, because from a feature and practicality perspective, BRV makes more sense to buy than a Creta.

To me, the BRV's 7 seats is the only thing which is attractive compared against the Creta (Well, of course the CVT too, but I think I can deal with the torque convertor on the Creta, no problem). However, the Creta's exterior SUV-ish look and interiors are just way above the BRV so I will probably choose the Creta because of that itself.

I think its too narrow.. Creta has better proportions in SUV term.. but even CRETA looks best when viewed head on.. from the back its Meh..

      @zeuskyst Před 8 lety

Yeah .. If the BRV was broader, it would have been a huge hit at this price point. But they probably couldn't do it for keeping the price at what it is now.

    • @karthiknaik3944
      @karthiknaik3944 Před 8 lety

not just broader, it should have been more innova-ish or more ertiga-ish or a CUV like Creta and Brezza
this thing is just a modifed mobilio ie an upsized Brio at the end of it
I hate Brio platform Honda cars, the Civic platform cars of the previous gen and the international Jazz platform are much better

NA as in naturally aspirated? well the Honda 1.5 Ivtec doesnt need a turbo as such, its very refined and overpowered in the City(Dunno about BRV)

      Balaji Chandrasekaran except-
      1. These arent SUVs, they are MUV/CUVs
      2. Neither are bulky or heavy as such
Turbo would be a great addition no doubt but costs would go very very high
