      Not sure Anyone should be listening to a guy who took 24 hours and needed to read the instructions to figure it out he had that thing in backwards I mean there’s literally only two ways it can go on and he chose the wrong one and filmed an entire review. I mean Come on

      @@MrKylePopovich If you’ve driven several vehicles, you’ve probably noticed that some vehicle windshields are equipped with a tinted strip on the windshield. The strip can either be blue that fades out as it gets lower, or it may be a pixelated strip that fades the lower it goes. These tint strips are usually around four to six inches in height and stretch the whole length of the windshield. The purpose of tint strips The tint strip on the windshield is actually known as a shade band. Its purpose is simple: to provide protection from the sun’s glare in that pesky spot just below your roof line and just above the visor. That spot is notorious for being difficult to block when you are driving into the sun shortly before sundown. The reason the shade band is only four to six inches in height is so it doesn’t obstruct or obscure your vision when you are driving in normal traffic. If the shade band stretched any further down, it could cause a distraction to some drivers or make it hard to see traffic lights at an upward angle. If your windshield doesn't have a shade band, it's important to get one. It's not mandatory on all vehicles nor is it required if your windshield was originally equipped with one, but it can prevent annoying glare from hard to block spots.

      I got the other product he mentioned and I'll SWEAR by the night vision. I live in the south and not near the bigger cities of my area..when you're driving late at night or early in the morning before sun up and somebody with LED headlights comes round a corner and has their high beams on and refuses to turn them down since they didn't notice you till the last dang second cause of said corner or they are just a jerk, that thing has saved my eyes and my life a time or two on a sharp curve. Sure there are fingerprints and a tint to the color but I'll deal with it cause it has helped me big time in the cases I've mentioned. When you're in the city where there are street lights and lots of cars it's not really needed, back roads with almost no street lights and low traffic? Oh yeah then it's handy and worth the money.

    Ordered two tac visor sets. Received different visors than shown on TV. On TV they show an easy clip that attaches on top and bottom. The ones I received clip on one side of visor. Clip immediately broke. I now have a set of Tac visor that I have to hold in my hand if I wanted to use it.SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

    I’ll say for me car lights blind me and my eyes don’t adjust very fast. Having the yellow tint just helps from getting blinded. Regular sunglasses will do the same but then everything is too dark, hence the yellow tint instead of black

    I bought something similar awhile back. I put it on incorrectly, but it helps me better, as I am 5'1". I recently had occasion to use it because the sun was very low on the horizon, and the visor was useless. However, since I put it on incorrectly, it helped extend the visor to where it cut down on the glare and the sun in my eyes.

    Something else to mention, after a short while, the hinges, for the most part, stop working, so no matter how many times you flip the visor up, in seconds, it falls again. In a way, because you're always fighting with the visor, it's as dangerous as not having anything, or, maybe worse.

    I don't think those yellow glasses are for reducing glare. I think they're for reducing eye-strain from blue light when it's dark out. Probably pretty useful if you're driving for quite a distance, and don't want your eyes to get tired. I don't know why they'd advertise those as reducing glare, it's more like what "night mode" does for your iphone or ipad.

  • @briteidea08

I love your review thank you so much for putting it out because I was feeling lost about ordering any of these products to try to reduce glare at night or during the day... I live in Indiana and drive to work around 5:45 in the mornings and 7:00 at night. Around 8 months it’s really dark around those hours. Many people do not and or will not dim their lights and using the amber shade it doesn’t hurt my eyes. So it helps me. During the daylight the sun bothers my eyes so I use my prescription sunglasses and the sun shade and it helps my eyes.

    I am an Uber driver and used the Tac Visor on NYE. My impression is that the night visor dramatically lowered eyestrain and I was able to stay our later. I admit that the normal night driver probably will not feel the difference, but if you drive professionally at night or you are taking an overnight road trip, the tac visor will help.

    With the yellow, it just looks yellow. Bailey did look pretty cute though.
    The day version looked like it worked fairly well, except when the sun is low between the bottom of the visor and the steering wheel.
    When I initially saw that you were doing this product, I was hoping that it was something that could be used as a visor extension to provide coverage for the area where your mom and I have difficulties. That way one could put the car visor down and then the TacVisor to fill the gap.
    And I completely agree that this product looked like the original visor product and not the prototype product.
    Thanks for the review.

    I noticed the night time visor is different between the older and newer models. The old one is amber yellow and slightly distorted, while the new one is clear yellow and not distorted. To add, there is a fuzziness around the light which passes through on the old model, whereas it is very slight on the newer model.

    I like it because I wear prescription glasses, and it works about as well as sunglasses so I don't have to purchased prescription sunglasses. The yellow for night doesn't work at all. As for the 'reflection', it's like mild tinnitus, you don't really notice it until something or someone brings it to your attention.

  • @fourtyfivefudd
    @fourtyfivefudd Před 2 lety

    The yellow doesn’t seem to cut down glare, but what I have also seen it advertised for before, and what it actually works for, is eye strain. Especially if driving long hours and a lot of people have LED lights, or if perhaps our driving through a bright city like Time Square or down the LV Strip, and you have sensitive eyes or are prone to migraines, the yellow has been proven to reduce eye strain. But “night vision” or glare? Those are just gimmicks. But if you have sensitive eyes, then this really could work for you

  • @jeandiatasmith4512
    @jeandiatasmith4512 Před 6 lety

    With the night vision - after a few minutes, your eyes adjust to the yellow and it stops being yellow. Just like using the night setting on your monitor. Lights trigger migraines for me and passing cars in the dark - absolute torture on my left eye. The night vision has been amazing for this. Their also nice in fog and drizzle. Now if they'd just make this visor better fitting - I can stop looking like a dork in the glasses. :)

  • @sabinahertzum9728
    @sabinahertzum9728 Před 6 lety

    I have a huge problem with driving at night - any type of oncoming light or even cars behind me blind me with glare, and I do once in a while I use a pair of yellow anti glare glasses, and they really help with my vision at night...
    If I drive at night in rain, and oncoming traffic it can get so bad that it effects my driving...
    So, while I like you review, I feel you don’t take in to consideration that some people might have some vision problems, or with other things, physical problems, that the product might help with!!

    Good review. Might be worth it if you could find it at a dollar store for $5 or less. Thanks.

    I received the tac visor for Christmas as a gift I also installed it wrong I’ll turn it to the backside of my visor tomorrow and see if there’s improvement with the reflection

    Yellow-tinted glasses and sunglasses, designed for night driving and looking at monitors, have been around for several decades. I just assume that most people don't know of their existence. You can get a decent pair of entry-level yellow-tinted sunglasses for $15 to $20. They do the same thing as these gimmick as-seen-on-television things.

    I was hoping it would be good for us short people ! I'm 5'4 and the normal visor does nothing for me.

    • @mlg445
      @mlg445 Před 6 lety

      Kelli please, I bet you see fine. Try being 4'10". I can drive without a boost but lately I've been using a folded throw blanket and it's helped quite a bit.
      5'4 is average for a woman. So sick of non-short people saying they're short for attention. Its like if an anorexic says she's too fat for attention, meanwhile fat people want less attention or taken seriously. It lessens the struggle amd message.

    WOW thanks for the review I wear glasses ( script ) that change from clear to sunglasses and after watching your review I'm definitely not sold on tac-visor 1 the finger prints and 2 the reflection would not fly for me. It last more than 5 minutes on my visor. Yes I did not see a difference in the night time visor except the yellow tint.

    This is my second time visiting your chanel looking at reviews. Thank you so much for taking alot into consideration with your honest reviews and looking at it from different views/uses. As well as considering other people, including your mum! Keep up the good work! From Sydney Aus. Subbed!

    Wow! Thanks. I was all ready to get the visor, but clearly not nearly as good as the TV commercial claims, finger prints, reflections and it doesn't really cut the glare. And of course if Bailey doesn't like it, my Golden, Oliver won't like it either.

    Keep in mind the reflection is due to not having tint in the back of your car. If you have 5 % all around you won’t see the reflection

    The best use for this is sitting at a stoplight with the sun glaring... lets you see the light change... works for me...

    I find the yellow night visor takes the harshness blue and white of the lights.

  • @nambinhvu

    Couldn't you attach it upside down and flipped for shorter people, or would it fall off? It'll hide under the factory visor and you can adjust the height by pulling the factory visor down further. Give it a shot.

    With regards to evening and artificial lighting, the higher Kelvin lights, above 6000K start to take on a blueish hue. The yellow lens turns it more greenish which is less intense on the eyes, especially during the dusk transition.
    It also offers safety from Xenon lights in upscale vehicles running 10K and above, in the purple hue, but harmful to the eyes
    Overall, whether you use a visor or tinted glasses, it's all about preventative eye care. Blue hues in the evening mess with the hormones governing our biological clocks. Yellow is also great for cloudy overcast daytime conditions, less gloomy!

    I actually have the HD VISION visor & I couldn’t use it well in my smaller car I use to own as I sat lower & I’m only 5’5 so I had the same problem like your mum but I haven’t tried it yet in my car I have now that is larger & has a electric drivers seat that sits you up higher like a truck seat. Mine also scratched pretty bad from the dust too as back then I lived out of town on a dirt road.
    I also noticed that the TAC one looks larger then the HD VISION.
