      It is made for film maker not for CZcamsrs. They spend millions on movies.

    Thanks for everything you do Darren, I sent a friend to your channel the other day after they asked for feedback on a video of theirs. Thought they'd be in good hands here, much appreciated!

    How are you enlarging & highlighting parts of the UI near the mouse cursor for tutorials?

    Hey Darren
    What does it show specifically for HDR grading? Do I see percentage of peak brightness?
    Interested in the tool you showed in the bottom left about HDR!

    Would love to see a in depth setup vid of nobe (with each caveat) for others as i found there was some important bits to note when using to get accurate scopes / differences to resolves in built scopes, my original setup was mac studio hdmi output to mini 3g recorder and i had some issues with the scopes matching due to monitor profiles (set on the hdmi feed to the bmd recorder) within mac system display settings
    Caveats:
    Built in mode must have adjustment clip with plugin on
    Hdmi out to recorder defocuses clean feed on mouse off davinci (i use universal mode in mac to "join" the two macs together so i can go from the main mac to the scope mac to do things like selecting an area of the scope but clicking on the other mac will defocus davinci and stops the clean feed being sent over hdmi)
    Leading to the requirement of needing a BM monitor 3g so you can have a permanent clean feed

    Hi Darren, could you maybe do a video on configuring the dedicated PC you have for Omniscope? It would be super helpful to show just how it works in day to day operations, like is it something that needs to be set up for each work session, or is it a more set it and forget it type of thing?
    Also can I ask what the specs of the Omniscope PC are?
    Thanks as always for the channel, it’s invaluable 👍

    Quick question Darin, just looked at the site and see it works with HDR and ACES, do you know if it works with DCM?

    • @DarrenMostyn
      @DarrenMostyn  Před 3 měsíci +3

      It is reading the signal from Davinci Resolve or from any image or input so its not Resolve specific. Will also read FCP and Premiere and Avid. So if you can see your image, omniscope can measure it. I dont work with DCM so check with Time In Pixels for any specifics. Thanks.

    Did omniscope add their own skin tone indicator. Or is that the nobe dctl added in?

    I HATE subscriptions and this is crazy expencive. Nice tools but £329 a year is just madness. Even for a professional.

    • @RshainVFX
      @RshainVFX Před 3 měsíci +6

      It is not a subscription. You buy it, you own it forever. If you want updates after 1 yr, you pay the support fee. It’s pretty simple and an excellent value considering the product and how frequently it gets updated.

    • @bugshopvideo
      @bugshopvideo Před 3 měsíci +3

      It is NOT £329 every year...you buy it. Also this product replaces hardware scopes which cost thousands of dollars and do not ever get updated.

    • @DarrenMostyn
      @DarrenMostyn  Před 3 měsíci +7

      Not a subscription

    • @Cre8iveMedia
      @Cre8iveMedia Před 3 měsíci +1

      It's a one off or to get support and upgrades each year it's £80, or skip every other year, or just pay the £80 when there is a update you really need or want

    • @fiveshorts
      @fiveshorts Před 3 měsíci

      Still way too much. If you can’t get it right with Resolve scopes, you’re just OCD or have too much money coming in from your CZcams channel (or maybe get given it)
