I just received Real Americans; now I'm even more excited to read it! I'm definitely preordering Tell Mr Everything - I just reread all the Lucy Barton books to get ready. These were great reviews, thanks!
💚🖤 I read Shoot the Moon by Billie Letts a few years back and I still think of till this day.
I cant believe I still havent read Elizabeth Strout. I’m visiting my daughter in Maine next month - might need to get started there.
Russell, you describe books better than anyone else on CZcams!
Awe you are way too sweet. I certainly do not feel that way LOL. But I appreciate you so much.
You are lovely ❤
As always, an enlightening list! Real Americans has definitely risen on my tbr list. An older book that is perennially on my “can’t forget” list is A Tree Goes in Brooklyn.
Tree Grows is certainly a classic. I hope you pick up Real Americans soon and love it as much as I do.
I’ll echo the other comments and say I just love the way you talk about books. Adding Real Americans to my TBR. As an Asian-American whose parents were both immigrants, this resonates with me.
Thank you my friend. You are always so nice to me. I think you will really like Real Americans. it is a you book for sure.
The Safekeep by Yael van der Wouden. Seems to be flying under the radar. Can’t stop thinking about it. Absolutely terrific. Highly recommend!
I’ve had my eye on this one. So glad to hear you enjoyed it. 😊
oh, I have not even heard of this one. I am on the hunt.
I've almost picked up Real Amricans a few times but wanted to hear your review first. Now I will definitely pick it up next time.
Oh I hope you do. I think you will really like it. Tell me what you think if you do get it.
I would give a leg to have that new Strout. Jealous.
Oh it is so so so good. I cannot wait for more people to read it. And it just got a starred review in Publishers Weekly - so, another reason to read it.
i love it when you love a book!
Ah thank you. So many great books in the world right now.
Real Americans is on my tbr... Can't wait to get to it after hearing your thoughts...😊
A book I can't get out of my head is Molokai by Allen Brennert... it's a fantastic book...
Currently reading Yellow crocus by Laila Ibrahim on audio and so far it's amazing....
