The new Universal Studios intro used since their 100th Anniversary 2013 gets a Ballyweg version thanks to doenerman_3000 / @alexbombelli4526.
Made in Blender Cycles. The render took more than 30 hours to complete. Adobe After Effects was used for a few extra touches.
Back in 2013, I tried making this intro using Blender and After Effects, masking the letters and only generating the world behind the letters. After many hours I had to give up, since the result did not look good enough and I was running out of RAM, with After Effects filling up all 24 GB I had. Now, I found that someone else already did it, and they did an amazing job.
Watch it in 1080p Full HD at 60 fps!

Thanks for all the lessons Ballyweg. But there is this one intro I really would love you to teach. Harry Potter:Deathly Hollows. The one with the Warner Bros logo. And the exact one in the movie. Please consider this as a challenge. :)

hi! can i only use blender and not aftereffects? also how come i can't see Asian text displayed as the logo?
Yes, this is possible without After Effects (but be prepared for it to take a very long time). For Asian text (or any other special characters), just change the font. See czcams.com/video/LcXkm4vwPFA/video.html

It takes several days on my desktop. On an old laptop, it could take over a week.

If the project on the blender that your making is half way done then it close can i resume the project or start over again?
+Carl Duero To do this, you can render as PNGs. So each frame is saved as a PNG and you can then stop and resume at a specific frame number. When done, just compose all PNGs into a video clip using any compositing software (I use After Effect).
