Very rare car and to find one like this, nowadays, is rare.
Iv a 6RS and a 5 RS, both modified and in amazing condition, especially the 6.Great for the Highland roads, where i live.

100% someone took them from the port or the boat. Someone stole my blue tire air caps too. Fantastic choice on the sonax, I got the gallon version because I was able to get it for $60. Dealers use it over in Europe. What you want to do is get a detailing brush or a wheel brush to rub in the Sonax. It works best on dry so do wheels before the car wash. Since when did you have a Hayabusa? What a beaut 😍 4g63 hell yeahhhhh. Honestly your Tokyo 2020 plate is so sick, nothing beats it dude. Congrats again =D
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking and it kinda sucks that someone would steam them. Sonax is great and I bought a second bottle but I used it after I wetted the wheels and it made them just a tad bit better. I’ll try on a dry wheel next time. Yeah man have had the Hayabusa for a while now but haven’t motovlogged on it yet. I’ll try to take it for a spin maybe tomorrow and get some footage 🤙🏻

the evo 3 is 1 of my dream cars sadly they are not as automatic because i sadly have a problem with my eyes that forces me to drive automatic and not manual

It's awesome you got to keep all of those plates. I've only ever had my vehicles tagged in Tennessee, but I've got a pretty large plate collection covering the wall in my garage. One of them being the tag from my Z32 when the original owner took it to Guam with him. I found it in the trunk under the spare tire and was going to give it back. He told me to keep it, so I did. Lol
But glad to see you posting videos, again. Hopefully you're all settled in, by now. Seen the murdered out lights on instagram. Looks really good!

As far as the engine goes there's plenty of parts, identically shared with the USDM DSMs (7 bolt 4G63 only, though). Literally the only difference right now in terms of that longblock is the 16G (compared to a T25) and the Evo 3 intake manifold is considered an upgrade. Everything else is the same so you can either sell the other block or just keep it as a spare, but 7 bolts are still common. Also one other interesting difference I saw is that yours has the special air bleed bolt on top of the thermostat housing. Mitsubishi made it so you can crack it open and leave the car running while filling up with coolant. Air will escape from there since it's more or less the highest point in the cooling system. Once it starts to overfill, you just tighten the bolt and you should be 99% air free.
Anyway, if you're not already, go on the DSMTuners forums and keep an eye on the classifieds for any engine-related parts you might need. That 16G with some porting and external wastegate can get you up to 350 on pump and 400+ on corn juice. I'm sure you probably know all of this but I just wanted to share. Bro I have to come at it sideways and super slow. My coil overs start creaking like crazy lol. I’m not a fan but I bought the house when I was in Japan and didn’t realize how steep it is

You got good taste buddy.. The Evo 3 is looking great.. Probably you can try refurnish the rims to cover the side scratches and it it look new again. Btw, is the the original Evo 3 rim? I thought the OEM Enkei rims are thicker 5 spoke rims.

Please don't replace the jdm headlight amber signal lights and amber cheek light. Those are very rare jdm items. The best mod you should do is to covert it to left hand drive. For you to drive it legally there in the states.
Im driving it legally as RHD on the states! I’m keeping the OEM lights but riding around with the blacked out look for now

Strange, why would they take the ash trays?
It's possible they tested for something in Customs. You never know what was in yer old ashtrays. (I'm not sure but I bet they're substantially similar to a plain Lancer's, if not identical, so they might not be so hard to get.)

Not too bad. It’s weird switching back and forth from my Tiguan to the Evo though. The blinker switch is in the opposite site so I end up hitting my wipers a lot when I stop at a 4 way 😂

Yeah I just didn't think about the ash trays....lesson learned. Best I can do is advise the friends shipping their cars back. Only thing is I know those ash trays aren't going to be cheap and it's not like I need them but it's an eyesore now

@@CaptTwo6 Those are beyond plentiful here in Australia, the CC lancer GSR (which was INSANELY popular in the Sex Spec Era) is the the same car bar the engine (wasnt the 4G63 in the aussie built version) and there where a TON of different base model trim levels available but they all have the same dash/interior
They are still everywhere and Wreckers are full of them, easy as fuck to find.

Why worry about getting parts shipped? Its basically a dsm mechanically parts are everywhere.
Engine wise but everything else is Evo specific for the most part (trans, suspension, accessories, etc)
How did they let you take the plates over?
It’s a crack deal between the US and Japan for the military. Only the US military can keep their plates as a “souvenir” when they ship their cars back to the US 👌

It was actually super easy to pick it up. Showed my ID, did an inspection and drove off like nothing. I just got the car registered in Georgia but that was a pain. You need to have your customs paperwork in hand. I also had to have my VIN verified by the local police and they filled out a form for me. I also needed a translation document filled out and notarized. Georgia did not accept my Guam drivers license so I also had to apply for a drivers license which was another trip to the local DL office. Few trips to the DMV and arguing with the lady that my car is legal and I’m good to go haha
Looks like it's time for additional income streams. Things are coming together for a few, still much work to do.
Glad to know you're back Cap , but just to give some insight , the evo 3 shares many parts with the dsm motor, and right now in the US, top quality aftermarket parts are flooding the evo market , during my sleepless nights of research stmtuned.com/ has the best price matched to any other marketer out there in the US , it would be more budget friendly to build the current engine in the evo 3 but you bought the spare engine already, so what the heck 🤷🏽♂️ don't take my word for STM but do some research tho. Best of wishes bro.
