About of year and a half in, I’m at the pineapple but no ponytail look. The only way I can get the pony is with the help of a compression headband! Like I said on Reddit, this man TP has been instrumental on my loc journey. Much love, keep the energy!

The two buns is a style I rock some times sorta like busta rhymes or down with a SnapBack backwards

Bro, I struggled with the time it took for my hair to start showing length too. I feel you on that! It wasn’t until I was approaching the 2 year mark that suddenly my hair got to eye length. At 2.5 year I could do different styles and my life has changed for the better ever since!

These styles look crazy, I cant rock some of em due to the size of my locks, I have like, almost wicks [20 locks, high top set, touching shoulders], so my hair wont stay in the band very well or my hair doesn't look like it has any volume when only some are in the band, but those are definitely sparking some ideas. 90% of hats are also a no go, so if anyone is looking to go for bigger size locks and combine locks or just getting started and wanting larger sizes, watchout because styling goes almost completely out the window, its all up or all down lol.

Heyy I was wondering what would you say is the hairstyle that makes you the most "mature". I ask because, sometimes I feel like having dreadlocks makes me look younger. Sometimes I like but I'm getting more tired of it.
I think maturity really just comes down to your personality and style tbh. If I had to choose a style that’s most acceptable in formal/ professional settings I’d guess the low ponytail or the bun would be the best bet.
Rn I rock mine just lose and hangin or i’ll tie em up in the X look when I dont want em in my face or when im working out. Otherwise sometimes i do the ponytail

Say TP, how do you wear your hair to work? I’m struggling with cutting mine only because I’m about to try to break into corporate culture and am stumped with how to maintain a professional appearance while sticking to my locs. Not quite to where it’ll all go back into a ponytail (almost) so I’m kinda torn on how to proceed. Any ideas?

You can do barrel twists that can look pretty clean as well. Gets the hair out of your face and usually looks pretty professional imo. I showed my version of this in another video. “How I clicked corp ladder with locs” something like that as the title.
If you were looking for something less labor intensive, I think a single black hair band (long one) that pushes and holds the locs back would work fine as well. As a general philosophy I’d assume professionalism = any style that removed the locs from covering your face.
