  • Rest. Recharge. Reset… ahh, yes - the benefits of sleep. For people with Parkinson’s, sleep is especially needed to allow the body time to self-repair, but a good night’s sleep can also become more elusive. Difficulty falling or staying asleep, physically acting out vivid dreams, daytime sleepiness, restless leg syndrome and other disturbances can become factors affecting your quality and quantity of sleep.
We invite you to join us on Monday, June 17 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Eastern Time as Dr. Emmanuel During discusses how sleep disturbances can impact energy during the day, attentiveness, motor symptom management, etc., as well as the impact on relationships. He will also discuss pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions and strategies that can potentially help people living with Parkinson’s - and their partners - get the rest they need. We will also be joined by Jeannine Alain who will share about her Parkinson’s-related sleep challenges and how she manages those symptoms.
