To kick off an all-new season of #RhythmRoulette, we connected with @boyarmira999 and @rioleyva2002 of @InternetMoneyRecords to birth a beat from the record trove that is Record Surplus, Santa Monica.
The #WestCoast clique has produced music for artists such as Don Toliver, Gunna, Nav, Lil Uzi Vert, Juice WRLD, and Trippie Redd (to name a few) with a flare that tailors to the current era.
Word of advice, you’ll want to enhance your bass for this one. The final product goes stupid hard.

I remember browsing CNET around 2002 (for some reason they had an audio software section) and downloading one of the first versions with the Aaliyah - “Try Again” demo playing upon opening the program, which was like magic to me. Trying to re-create Master P - Burbons and Lacs and various Three Six Mafia songs..now they are “speed running” beats for content. This has become super stale.

Yea, it doesn't take long to loop a section of a sample, and throw the same generic drum and 808 patterns that you've thrown on hundreds of other beats. 2 minutes tops.
