Nah! Pick up a pumice stone at the Dollar store! Pumice sounds like YUM-miss. My mama taught me this when I was a kid. No need to keep the water running. Just keep the stone WET.
Thank you. We have hard water stains. These are actually a dollar at the dollar store in the make up and nail polish aisle. Same ones used for heels of feet. Had no idea this would work.
Nicely done. But keeping the water running ruins the effectiveness.. the point of a pumice stone for cleaning is that when moistened, the scrubbing motion creates pumice dust, which when mixed with water creates an abrasive paste that is strong enough to remove stains and build up but not hard enough to scratch the surface. Leaving the water running in the spot you are trying to clean is just making it harder on yourself by removing any and all paste that could be formed. Wet the stone and the surface, then scrub. Wet again, scrub again. Once the stain is gone move to next area, but never just leave water running as it reduces it's effectiveness by not allowing the abrasive paste to form.
I just randomly bought one of these from Shein for £2. I don't have rust on the toilet, but thought I'd buy a toilet cleaner brush. I didn't realise it was pumice until it arrived today. This video was helpful, thank you!
If you mix an acid (vinegar) and a base (bicarb) they neutralise each other so you just get a pretty chemical reaction. Better to just use one then the other separately
I noticed heavy staining along my toilet bowl rim this afternoon while cleaning out the sink cabinet. I scrub the bowls once per week or so and had no idea I was missing so much. Tried getting it off using a scotch brite pad and Comet as usual, but I didn't even put a dent in it. Going to give these a shot and see if I can save my back and knees the strain. Thanks for the vid. 👍
A lot of comments on people scratching toilets, there are diff pumice stones, don’t buy one for something else and use on the toilet, there are ones made for toilets
Not that I notice and I have used these on a few different toilets. I have had people make comments saying they have scratched their toilets, so I guess is depends on what you have.
Sir I have watched toilet cleaning wd pumice stone. It cleaned nicely I have a dought will it leaves Scratches on d Ceramic medium and wl coating of shine goes off Tkg.
@@tonysreviews it was excellent at removing rust stains. I had a client whose fiberglass shower was rust from top to bottom from their well water. I wonder what they are doing to remove rust from boat hulls now.
@@tonysreviews yes, it made the Mark's of like it scratched the porcelain. What I didn't do like u did, keep dipping it in the water. So I'll try that & maybe it won't do it. Ok? I'll let u know. Thanks hon for responding. 👍

I used this today on my rusty toilet. This actually works when EVERYTHING else failed. Awesome product.
I agree! Thanks for the comment!
I am here to say. It works!!! Just cleaned two toilets with one. It was amazing.
Thanks for the great comment. I love these little pumice stones.

Thanks for letting us know where they are in the Dollar Tree. I looked one day in bathroom stuff and could not find them.
@@tonysreviewsNear the foot items like corn pads and nail clippers.

Thanks for the insight. You see, I am just a person making videos and demonstrating how the average person might experience these products.

Same! I just ordered it off Shein
Great demo, gonna get some stones asap. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the cool comment!
Thanks for the video!! I never heard of those either!! Going to get one now!!
They seem to be an old item but I can't recall anyone in my family ever using them. Thanks for watching!
Dollar store pumice stone
If you pre treat your toilet with white vinegar and baking soda the stains come out even easier 😊
Thanks for the tip!

I had tried it all too. These pumice stones are the way.
Did it work
I just used another brand, got it this morning, searched how to use it and found this video. It definitely works. I want to try it on tiles too.

Thanks for helping the confused.
Pumice is pumice. It's the toilet materials that may differ.
My grandpa just told me this and works like a charm
I love these darn things. Thanks for watching!
This is old news to the older generations. 👍
Maybe replace the sink waste, to prevent the issue from re-occuring
Love the dogs playing poker. CLR straight out of the bottle works for getting down in the bottom of the bowl that cant be accessed.
Thanks for the tip!! 🐶😁🐶
Amazing! Thank you for showing that!
It's kinda fun to do it too!
Great video! Thanks for sharing it
Thanks for watching!!
I bought some thru your link. I've used some before but they didn't have the handle so I'm going to give these a try. Thanks for the vid
Awesome! Thank you!😊
So who are the geniuses who came up with a rectangular stone to clean a rounded toilet?
haha truee, make another shape and go on shark tank
Yep! Haha! 😃
Found a oval rounded pumice stone at the Dollar General for 2.50
@@flyrobin2544 Does it scratch the porcelain of the toilet?
Pum (like bum), Pumice stone 😂
Right on! 🤣😁
Yeah. Not poomice stones. Lol
It's just a Dollar store pumice stone 🪨👍 My mama taught me this decades and decades ago! Keep it WET!... Pumice sounds like YUM-miss.
Awesome Sauce!
Amazing product. Picked mine up at the dollar store for $5s
What was the name of the dollar store?

Thanks for the information! I will probably buy them there too if they have them local.

Why does it need a non reusable plastic handle. Just buy ones without plastic.
I'm sure it's so people feel like they can hold something and keep themselves from touching a toilet basin.
Just ordered 4 sticks. I've tried all types of cleaners also and nothing. I've looked in stores for these but could never find any.
Dollar store pumice stone. Near the nail clippers and emery boards.
20$!!! They sell the exact same ones at the dollar store and they work
Sounds like the best deal! Thanks for watching!
Did it made your sink and toilet surface rough after scrubbing with that pumice stone?
Not that I can see or notice. I haven't stuck my hand on it but no it does not look to be scraped or damaged.
My pumise stone crumbled into pieces when unwrapping outer plastic layer
Good way to strip the enamel off. Keeps toilets manufacturers in biss lol
Ah ha! We have a toilet expert, people heed this warning!
Pumice stones have been used to clean toilets since toilets were made from porcelain. 😂
Does it do scratches on the pot??? Plz rep

$20 yikes I just got mine for 1.99 at the dollar store
Great price!
Which store did you get it from?
In the Netherlands it cost 15 eiro. About 15 us dollar
@@sharondavidbowieGot a dollar store or pharmacy? They're near the nail clippers and nail files.
cool they work by why in gods name would they make them in that shape? No toilet has 90 degree angles! never mind, i see the wear down very quickly :)
That's exactly right. They just smooth out fast.
I tried this but it scratched the porcelain😔
That's not good. I think somebody suggested getting them wet before use to soften them up a bit.
The Prumise Stone works on your rough feet too.( but buy a new one😅😅😅
I wonder if the toilet is grossed out by one that was used on a persons foot? LOL 😂

Because he kept the water running.
It's 'the works toilet bowl cleaner' not 'the works classic clean' 2 different products
Doesn't this scratch the surface??
No, you do need to dampen it though.
Thanks for answering!
Can you tell me a dad joke I’ve seen so many in the comments with your replies
How many dads does it take to clean a rusty toilet?
@@tonysreviews I have no idea! How many?
Three: one to forget to buy water softener salt, one to lie to his wife about it and one to scrub that nasty pot!!

It’s ok, I didn’t bathe for about a week after this.
Alternatively you could try zep toilet bowl acid.
