- Before heading off to visit family in Canada, I decided to check out why the departures were so very empty at Brazil's biggest airport but also just to give you guys a look inside one of Latin America's busiest airports, after São Paulo of course.

7:49 And this is why I keep my AMEX Platinum despite the high annual fee so I can fill up at a lounge before my flight cause I’m the same way, if I eat that airplane food I always end up feeling like crap after. GIG and the airport in São Paulo have AMAZING Plaza Premium lounges👍🏽👍🏽

I might pass through this airport once again in a month or two but to visit Belo Horizonte. For some reason the flights leave from there even though they are domestic.
@@nickmusttravelOh wow I would have assumed you would have left out of the other airport but I think it has to do with which airline you’re using but I could be wrong.
@@chrisbrown8748 Yeah I am not really sure. It is a bit of a pain to fly out of Galeao because it is much further away. Santos Dumont is easy accessible because its not on a damn island lol
I just remember when I was booking my flight to Santa Catarina I had first checked flights leaving from GIG because that’s the only airport I had used at the time and it showed me expensive flights with LATAM while SDU had much cheaper flights with carriers such as GOL but like I said I’m not the most experienced when it comes to this so I’m just guessing based off one single experience.
@@nickmusttravelI agree Santos Dumont is much more convenient and I also love the views from there during both takeoff and landing.
