Coconut milk in mashed potatoes should be considered a war crime against humanity
It was Japanese sweet potato. It should be good assuming they didn't try to do it savory. Like a less sweet alternative to sweet potatoes with marshmallows.
you should try your grocery stores like Safeway, Walmart from what I seen you get the same amount or more of food for $89.00 . I my self go for our little town grocery store for $25.00. turkey, green beans, stuffing, mashed pot, gravy, and pumpkin pie and a bottle of cider. When I cook turkey I use a roasting bag and I flip the turkey so the breast is facing down in the pan. That way when it cooks it soaks up some of the juices and it ends up being fall off the bone tender and very flavorful

Our family always has saag paneer with our thanksgiving dinner in place of regular creamed spinach. We love it and the spices really compliment roasted turkey so well.

So fun fact, tryptophan doesn't actually cause tiredness. Tryptophan is a natural occurring amino acid that can help in the production of serotonin, which then serotonin can help promote slow-wave sleep. However, you'd have to eat a ton of tryptophan-rich food for it to make much of a difference. Tryptophan is actually one of the lowest quantity amino acids in turkey, so it isn't significant enough to have an effect on serotonin levels.
What actually may cause drowsiness after Thanksgiving is two things: the placebo effect and eating a large, high caloric/fat/sugar meal, which causes blood sugar to spike and then crash. My family used to always have a tradition that after we were done eating, we'd go out to midnight black friday at the mall. We never became tired 👌 but just a fun debunking of that myth!
No one asked, but just to sight my source, last year I had a biological bases of human behavior/cognitive psych professor that told us about it and I found an article that sighted neuro research from Scientific American so that I could make sure I had all my facts straight. 👌

We have Turkey, buttery mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, mashed turnips, stuffed mushrooms, cauliflower oreganata, creamed pearl onions, asparagus baked with cheese, stuffing with sausage, and to begin the meal, stuffed celery and olives and salami and provolone

Green bean casserole MAKES the meal for me. But it can't be anything fancy. Just canned green beans, canned cream of mushroom, and French's onions on top. I couldn't have thanksgiving without it!!!
Great video ladies! The W-S and H&D are 10/10 in my book, I have had both. The Eat Clean Bro is a cool idea for single people on a diet. The Paleo one can go in the trash in my opinion. The Omaha Steak one looks good will have to try it. Blue Smoke also looks good to, if I'm ever in NY I will have to try there restaurant.

Costco got some really good gravy and mash potatoes
Mexican twist on sweet potatoes is actually sweeter than the regular sweet potato dishes lol. We add melted brown sugar and milk. 😂 Although the ones we eat are yellow or white, maybe not as sweet as those orange ones.

In Canada we'd add turkey dinner poutine, basically poutine with turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. Poutine being french fries, with cheese curds and gravy on top.

Southern Thanksgiving with a biscuit dressing? Been in the south all my life and it's always been cornbread dressing.
I was born and raised up north and when I took over Thanksgiving it was cornbread and sausage dressing all the way. Biscuits are for breakfast with sausage gravy.
