  • Steinhart have expanded the Ocean 1 family, but taken it in a different direction. Shedding the Rolex Submariner homage status, the Titanium 500 has a new modern dial and has a titanium case and bracelet. For €590 / £455, it's a serious divers watch with great specs / technology for the price. Read the full review here: 12and60.com/steinhart-ocean-t...

    Been living with my new Steinhart Ocean 1 Ti 500 watch for a week now.
    Everyone should now know that it NOW comes with a ETA 2892-A2-TOP
    This thing is running at 2-3 seconds+ a day, which for me is as good as my Rolex GMT.
    Great watch.
    Every bit as good as my Rolex!

      Would you like pics of my GMT? 1 minute a month is about right!
      I would be pleased in ordering you a double vinegar and water!

      Mark the Steinhart ETA 2892-A2 is not a TOP but Elabore. There has been some confusion about it as some customer got the paper signed off as "TOP". But their official website says ETA 2892-A2 Elabore Premium.

    Thanks to your review. Nice to see a departure from homage or copying path. It has the DNA but it is its own thing!

    Was bidding on a 2nd-hand Ocean One Black on eBay, but yesterday the seller cancelled the auction early.
    However, eBay's algorithms brought a Steinhart Ocean One Titanium 500 to my attention as a buy-it-now item, so as it was a good price and in almost mint condition with original box, etc., I bought it straight away!
    There were plenty watching it, probably because owner had purchased it new in Europe a number of years ago, before returning home to Australia, making watch a bit of a rarity here!

    This Steinhart is a very nice piece, love the contrast between the case/bezel and case/crown. Nicely machined.

    I just purchased this watch [via Steinhart's Website] last night {I'd been searching for a new watch that 'Spoke to me,' you know? Doing due diligence through many google/CZcams/et cetera sites & THEN I SAW THIS Steinhart and was BLOWN AWAY!! Oh, glad to get it post-SOPROD A10 mvmt - I believe the ETA 2892-A2 TOP mvmt will be SUPREME!} & when re-reviewing my saved videos, I noticed that I hadn't finished your's..DANG IT! I KNOW, Shame on me, yet (in my defense!) when correcting that 'oops,' I happily discovered your micro-lens examination. WOW!!! Your's is one of the VERY FEW that do this AND do it well! KUDOS! Sincerely, it makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE ~ Your effort's made me put to rest ANY of those ornery doubts that plague many of us... Thank YOU..!!!🇺🇸😎

      God revue, I have same model for 1 month and just watch is -1/+2 Sec Dali today I measure accuracy and it's been 0 . And 600€ is weary good price for that watch . Test it in the sea little diving and it good watch. But only buckle is little dingle, but I'm wearing on nato bracelet and it's super light. For 1.000€ don't know better watch. Best regards.

    Wow! The color , the titanium, the see through caseback, the different hands, the ceramic bezel! I've been wanting a stein hart and this watch improves on everything I don't like about their other watches! I want this or a stainless steel one of this quality. Anyone know if they make a stainless steel version with these particular upgrades?

    Diameter should have been 40, and the lug to lug length should have been slightly smaller + the lugs should have been bend a tiny bit downwards to hug the wrist. It would have fit SO many people, both big and small wrists. I don't know why they didn't...

    The 20 and 40 second markers on the ceramic bezel are not that good. Looks a little bit "bad" engraved. Check Minute 15:48 for that price its a little flaw :( but great video! I love this kind of videos :)

    @chrislj2890 Před 8 lety

    Hmmm, this seemed like deja vu all over again, and then I remembered the steel versus titanium video. This is a lot of quality for the money, and although I do prefer the Christopher Ward black titanium version better, it's running about £970, and that's a huge difference. I think it's possible the light marks on the finish will darken over time since titanium does oxidize, but I'm not positive.

  • @anonypersona3189

    You'll need a large wrist to wear this watch for sure - those lugs are straight across and will not hug your wrist otherwise. The thickness is 13 mm for the case alone, I think you should have mentioned that. The overall thickness/height is more like 16 mm if measured from the top of the crystal to the caseback I think. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Regardless, amazing price for what you get. It's a shame that it's designed for huge wrists!

    • @WIAAWatchReviews
      @WIAAWatchReviews  Před 5 lety

      +Ville Nummisalo A month ago not 1 of their distributors had them in stock. I didn't want to order direct from Steinhart because I heard it would be a long wait, not to mention more costly. I picked up a pre-owned one in new condition on a watch forum & absolutely love it!

    • @Villex93
      @Villex93 Před 8 lety

      Justin D A long wait? I'm wondering that too, if they have it in stock then I don't think there should be much of a wait? Unless you live in the US or something. I'd want to get one used but the market here in Finland is so small that you are lucky to see even some steinhart on sale.

    • @JJDITALIA
      @JJDITALIA Před 8 lety

      Ville Nummisalo Yeah I am in the US. I got mine on one of the watch forums from a nice guy in New Zealand. You should check there if you are okay with international shipping and all that. Ordering direct from Steinhart I heard they would let you place an order whether they had them ready to ship or not. Either way it's a great watch if you can get your hands on one. It's the one I wear daily.

    • @Villex93
      @Villex93 Před 8 lety

      Justin D The thing is that our customs take 24% of the price of the item if it comes outside the EU. So a 400 dollar watch would be 500 for no reason. Also I have a good Seiko and a Omega Seamaster already so I'm not THAT eager to get this watch instantly as new.

    • @Xiartin
      @Xiartin Před 7 lety +1

      It is a divers watch, it's rated 500metres. There are thousands of watches that aren't ISO certified, the Rolex Submariner for example, so you wouldn't trust a 5k rolex submariner, because it isn't ISO certified? ISO just sets parametres for the watch to be tested, a company can claim ISO compliance, even if they lie, there is no ISO police for watches. I know for a fact i'd trust Rolex Submariner with no ISO to dive than say a £100 ISO certified watch.
