I’m glad they made it look better than the crown sedan
Yes! However, the sad news is that the Toyota Venza is being discontinued in 2024. The Crown Athlete replaces the Avalon, while the Crown Signia replaces the Venza.
Looks way better than the sedan. Now, I would be willing to check it out.
not even the same
I think the sedan looks better but this is nice!
@@ronnieblea4422same here!
I love that they finally brought that Crown Estate from Japan!
The lifted sedan just didn't make much sense 😬, I am so glad to see we finally got the Crown globally! 💕
It looks fantastic
@@RaitisRidesIt sure does. I wonder if we'll have to wait another full year for the Crown Sport?
If this is Toyota's new design language, count me in! I'm diggin' the lack of sharp cut lines in the body, and the fact that they finally made the spindle grill shape palatable to the eye. I hope this trickles down into the Camry and Corolla line up. Thanks Joe (and Lori!)!
They are going to love that you said that Dayne
Amen! The spindle grille is ugly in most of Toyota/Lexus products. This grille still isn’t great, but it isn’t ugly. And I agree with your take on the lack of sharp cut lines. Too many cars have too many incongruous folds, creases, and triangles. Overall, a good looking car!
I think it was David @AutomotivePress that said some executive wanted people to instantly know what brand they were looking at. Well they certainly met that goal for brand recognition, but I too have always found the classic spindle grill ugly. And yes, thankfully, it appears the current trend is to tone it down. Yay!
BTW, I say this as a Lexus ES 350 owner! I always joke that I only walk up to the car from the sides or back so I don’t have to look at the grille!!! 😝
@@OldRustySteele LOL !!!
It's hard to not like a crossover that looks this fire 🔥🔥 Thanks Joe!!
You are so very welcome
It reminds me of the Buick Enclave
Chevy blazer too😅
@@yatpuquattro4719 Whixh one? The electric or the Camaroish one?
どういたしまして!
It looks like the best parts from the RAV4 got merged with the outgoing Venza model. I like the design.
I was a huge fan of the Crown sedan, and this one is just as good, I'm a fan of what Toyota's been doing lately!
Even their exorbitant prices?
It's fantastic! Thank you very much to all of you!
Toyota nailed it with this one, and the color is fantastic.
Looks like they nailed the Volvo look.
The color looks like my carbon edition Mazda
Love it but I cannot unsee the rear windshield wiper. Why won't they tuck it under the spoiler.
"To the door panel!!" - gets me every time. Nice work, team!
That is so wonderful to hear!
I have been looking for this and it is finally here. A midsize SUZ with 2 rows and decent cargo space but with luxury touches.
This is a good looking SUV - and I’m wondering why I like it so much and then I realized that they’ve borrowed a lot from the Lexus RX350h - essentially the same powerplant, the same shifter, the interior is similar and so are the dimensions. A perfect size. This isn’t a bad thing. Crown Signia could certainly be a Lexus. It’s very nice.
Very good points!
No GR? Fark this piece of junk. @@RaitisRides
@@RaitisRides I hope with this Crown Signia Toyota had fixed the problems with the front doors of the new RX generation. To be precise the front doors design of the new RX goes under the floor of the car for at least 3 inches deeper. That parts of the doors collect debris, ices and snow and sands from the road. For those driving in winter regions It's really a disaster and look terribly ugly when you open the doors. We hated that on our RX 350 2023. People complaint a lot about that at the dealer.
Real nice crossover. Thank you for this video
Would’ve loved to see an SE trim just for a lower priced option but I understand Toyota wanting to make this a luxury vehicle. It’s a bummer cuz most families, including mines, don’t have that luxury budget. This is gonna be another hit for Toyota. They’re not gonna be on dealership lots for long.
Chevy blazer would be the alternative, they look similar but reliability wise 😅
I wouldn’t go as far as branding it a luxury vehicle. Premium, maybe. Luxury, absolutely not.
I guess that's what the Corolla Cross is for
Wait two years and get it used with low miles.
This looks really good. The only downside I see would be if the wheel arches only come in black. They really need to offer a color match to paint option, especially for a premium/luxury vehicle.
That black cheapens the look. I hate they started that trend.
Gorgeous!!! I have a 2013 Venza and almost bought a 2023 Venza, but I am very glad I waited!!! I think the only downside is that this one will likely have a price in Lexus territory. However, I like it a lot more than the RX!!!
Wow beautiful brown interior in this signia the top level I enjoyed these videos
I’m so glad that I can share this new vehicle with you
This is going to sell quite well.
Finally Toyota bringing something that can be rated 9/10. I wish they will bring another trim level with 300+ hp (10/10). Thanks 💕 JOE for letting us know about this beauty.
Yes! Bring us the Hybrid Max powertrain and I'd buy one immediately.
What do you mean ? most of their cars are fire
@@AmicusAdastra??
@@AmicusAdastra I agree, this clown probably hasn't seen the new prius or has poor taste
This is going to sell so well. Good luck finding one.
That is a very good point!
Go ahead and give it a Zonk for no adding the Crown front badge like the Japanese model. I can’t wait for the other Toyota Crown sedan. Great video Joe!
You are so very right
They can be easily replaced, as I'm sure many will do.
Crown has no meaning at all in North America except for die hard fans.
@@jeffs6090How does one order those badges? Probably need a source in Japan. But I suspect at some point we'll see the Crown badge in place of the Toyota one.
@@mervinproneWhich will make people wonder what the heck the vehicle is.
Joe and Lori and Steve and keep up the good work and I love the video 👏 👍
Love the addition of Toyota adding a Crown SUV/Crossover
I’m so glad you are digging this one Tom
@@RaitisRides ;D
Thank you Joe. I view all your videos to be informed out what's out and what is good.
YESSSSHHHHHH JOE!!!!!
Plus over 1mil subs!!!! Congrats! 👍👌💪🏻
Thanks Jerry for having my back
I like this new model. It reminds me of the Velar, but much more reliable. Great work, Toyota! Nice review!
I'm seeing more Jaguar f pace
love it . can't wait for your follow-up
Fantastic review 👏 really nice ill start saving for this..
I prefer this over the sedan, the color on this one is delightful, the headlights are sleek, I think the black around the wheels should be body colored!
I totally agree with you Bryan
The color is dull and cheap looking, and the actual headlights are Bad - too low in the fog light position. What are you thinking?
I think they should drop the Crown name and just call it Signia. It’s substantially different from the Crown sedan.
I agree, the black around the wheels I think makes it look cheaper
My goodness this looks awesome!
I love it, looks good. Wish it had the hybrid max like the sedan does. Really like the platinum sedan also, I would take the platinum sedan in solid red though!😊
Hi Raiti, great video as always. Here's a thought for you. At 8:33 you zonk the rear wiper. I work in the car industry and there's a reason most SUVs put the wiper on the bottom of the window. Rear wipers typically sweep an 180o half-circle. If you mount the wiper the top, the widest sweep of the wiper is at the top - the sky. If you mount it on the bottom, the widest sweep of the wiper is at the bottom - pedestrians and traffic.
One of the best looking models in their lineup for sure. ❤great review
I’m glad that Toyota started to make nice looking cars again!
I am so glad that you like this one.
Do you think the length of the Crown Signia is the same as the current Lexus RX350? Thx!
Very nice. I know this will be expensive as most Toyotas are unfortunately now becoming. I prefer a taller suv with a more upright stance. But this is definately a vehicle i will check out when it becomes available. Great review Joe!
If it starts at around $50k, *wait till dealerships add their unnecessary crap to jack the price up* into the mid $60k like *pin stripes, window tint, complimentary maintenance, radio/wifi subscription services, nitrogen in the tires, floor mats, mud flaps* and more.
Add some shit slaps too 😂
You got that right. Money grubbing crooks. They're the reason my last 3 vehicles have been another make. I've been Toyota customer since high school. 3 Camry's, 1 Tundra, 2 Yaris, 2 Prius, 1 Lexus. I've bought 3 vehicles since Covid, and none of them were Toyota, because, after their sick fees, the cars are not worth what dealers are forcing you to pay.
It really looks great and with a Toyota reliability? Amazing.
Looks great!
Excellent video Joe.
The new crown signa looks amazing love the limited trim Toyota is always doing amazing on there cars great job Joe
Thanks Ryan fir letting me share it with yiu
Mannnn this looks good!! Definitely loving the new design side of Toyota!
They really nailed it on this one.
I love that they call it a mid-size SUV, when it's just a lifted Estate Wagon - which I love!
wondering if i will upgrade my 2017 rav4 to rav4 2021 or signia i think rav4 and signia is a same size ?
I watch all your videos big Joe! Had to comment for once. It’s excellent to look at. I’m getting a lot of Mazda (my favorite brand). The rear will be confused with Jaguar F-Pace. This is all good for Toyota. But, I’m also feeling like it’s a Camry wagon, which is cool! Sick color.
Agree. Gave me Mazda CX 50 vibe from the side.
I like the sedan a lot more but this is definitely a beautiful car
Love it!
"Astronaut in space" .... love the analogies. :-D
are there power folding side mirrors? a car thats going to be $55k should have that. cant believe there isnt a HUD
This is striking to my eyes!!!! Thank you for the review Joe!! i😍 it
Thank you for another nice professional review. Being an old timer and a fan of crown, I really like this one, compared to the sedan.
I dig this!❤
Love this Toyota Crown Signia. But this being a preproduction model hopefully they will add a head up display, especially on the limited.
Can't believe it doesn't come with a HUD or a power tilt/telescopic steering wheel. My 2019 Avalon does. But I must admit I am liking what I'm seeing so far.
That’s so awesome to hear
I'm definitely getting this for my family!
What is the cargo space with the seats up?
Joe you rock and i like this Toyota crown wagon thingy
You are the best!
@@RaitisRides you are the best joe, take care 👍
I'm 6'4 so I'm not worried I have been in numerous vehicles over the years with limited headroom, in Japan the crown is available in a phev not in North America too bad but I have the toyota RAV4 prime greetings from southern Ontario Canada thanks Joe and Lori
I'm getting pissed.. The pre-production model I saw last summer called Crown Sport SUV had a slightly different, more aggressive body style and came with PHEV Prime.. and we're getting this in North America without PHEV or Hybrid Max for that matter? Guess I'm waiting for Mazda CX-70 with PHEV!
Joe, once again you did not mention the Spare Tire situation, nor is the steering wheel Tilt & Telescope?
Now that is more like a Crown I could aspire to Toyota, too bad it's going to be around the same price as a new Land Cruiser, which would be my first choice, maybe. Fine job on presentation and video work! I went to prom in a '66 Plymouth station wagon, nothing like those fold down rear seats...
Hey Joe. Thanks again for another awesome introductory video. I drive a 2022 Highlander XLE now and I was thinking about a Sedan Crown in Two years time. But to be honest, watching this video, I have to decide again. Crossover Crown Signia looks great.
Look into a cx-70 or 90 too
That color is damn sexi also joe the gloss black it’s not bad & how many hrs u gotta charge the battery 🔋
Big time for sure
@@RaitisRidesamen
if you dad to choose, honda prologue or the crown suv ?
What you think about Rav 4 redesign for 2025? Can we expect complete redesign as the current version hasn’t been updated since 2019
I think this really looks like a grown up size of the Corolla Cross. But it did look very very attractive.
I think this might be more related to the soon-to-be retired Venza. I own a ‘21 Venza and this looks like it but with the new design language Toyota is going with.
Another great review Joe! Loris’s camera work is fantastic. I’m loving this Crown and think this might be the one to replace my wife’s old Murano.
It’s nice to see something other than a boarding black interior. I’ve seen tan and red so far
Truly beautiful design.
I'm definitely interested in this vehicle, but I would like to know how quiet the cabin is, and how comfortable the seats and ride are for long distance road trips.
Yes, me too. I guess we won't know that until the journalists get a chance to drive them for a week. And that won't be for awhile as there has to be a first drive event before that.
This is a very cool SUV. The only thing I wish they did was have the Crown badge displayed. On know it's not prominently known in the US, but I think I'll add that extra class as well.
I like the way that you think
@RaitisRides Thanks Joe 👍🏻
@@chrisgelo1425of course Chris
I baulked when they brought back the Venza a few years ago. I think that I am going to buy one of these.
Just wondering would this crown be what we in Australia call Rav4
Aloha Joe. This is a very chic Hybrid Electric Vehicle by Toyota. Also, this threat coverage by you and Lori in showing the details of the vehicle you disclosed to the potential customers.
The Japanese brothers know how to make good and trouble-free cars and that's why I love them
I absolutely love the design....
How would you take off the front bumper if it needs work done later on?
Toyota is on fire! The new Camry and Crown Signia! WOW! Not gonna like I’m loving these two cars and their looks, I can’t wait for your reviews for Camry and Crown Signia when the cars come out!
When ever you start I’m always saying please don’t say this is an EV. They hit this one out of the park. I didn’t like the crown sedan but this one is a winner. They are going to sell the heck out of this model
I may consider replacing my Rav4 with this one. What a beauty
The Jamaican market is gonna love this one 🇯🇲💰
I'm having a hard time seeing why the Lexus brand even exists. They used to have better interiors and bigger engines, but the power trains are now mostly shared across the brands. It seems to me it makes more sense to just get a Toyota in a higher end trim and save the 10-15k they seem to be charging just for the emblem on the hood.
Car care nut would like to talk to you 😂
I thought the same thing!
I didn't know that the Toyota crown became an SUV. Cool😎👍🏿
Great in-depth review. If a car manufacturer ever does place the rear wiper up in the spoiler, like you always suggest, I hope they call it a "Rati".😊
Is this on the same frame as the Lexus NX 350 ? If so what is the difference between the 2 cars other than price ?
Might take me a minute to warm up to this one but I'm loving the design language.
It looks better than the sedan version . The headlights are neat
I agree with yiu
Is the heated steering wheel heated ALL THE WAY AROUND??????
Yeah that drives me crazy about my venza
What a beauty! 🤩
I'd half-zonk the lack of brown trim on the rear doors. Otherwise, it's a nice vehicle!
Hi Joe!
Hey Aaron!
I can’t wait to wash my chew down 😂
Joe your the best man lol 👍🏼
Where is lumber support of passenger seat?
Is it okay for the passenger in the front seat to break his or her lumbar spine?
Better look than the sedan the only thing missing is the actual crown badge!
I think that makes sense
Good looking car, just curious to why Toyota didn’t just bring the Crown Sports from Japan to the US/Canadian market. There was a lot of hype for that.
Crown Sport is the best of them all, and of course we ain't getting it!
I've been displeased with the Toyota designs for a while, but this one has me excited.
Does the sunroof open?
toyota absolutely killed it in the looks department for this new crown
I think you are so very right!
The exterior looks much better than the “sedans“ next to it😂 yet that “sedan” is actually a small cross over or fastback hatch in asian market and the real Crown sedan is coming out soon which looks to me much nicer 👍
Thanks!
Joe…what is the watch you are sporting in this video?
