You have the must have the most dexterous hands on the planet. Im not kidding, you casually opened your red pen one handed because it was efficient, probably without even thinking about it might I add. I'm a little jealous.
I like the idea to use putty for a solder aid, never seen that before, thanks for the primary and ancillary education!
Your work is qualify and clean and i like to watch you working!! Keep going nice job 👍🏻
Thank you for your time and for uploading and sharing this with us.
Quality DIY...very good. You make things that will last for ages.
Thank you!
Can i use a usb-c adapter thats ment to charge the phone and wire it for sound??
Saved a day .. Thank you for this video..

hi, I want to ask, if I want to make a type c cable interconnect from phone to eksternal dac. can I use the same method as in this video?
Hello, can you make a video with adaptor jack 3.5 la usb mama build
can u make diy tutorial c to c for dongle dac? theyre quite popular now
whats inside the type c dac board 24bit?
Hello old friend.
Do you have "diy type-c to 3.5mm female adapter + type-c charging port" video?
How build cable lightning to rca for conect iPhone to mixer....??

Mine has six wires from Huawei headset can you help me which wire goes to which
Great Video! =)
Is it possible to do the same for a 2.5mm balanced jack?

@@sgaudiohiveCool, thank you!!! =)

I have the same noise hearing in the video . how can i cancel this noise??!
Is there a usb type c board with no dac on it, that just uses the phones' internal dac?
There are, but you will have to do some digging on commerce sites
my USBC has five pins red blue green white and copper. which ones do I short together and which ones do I hook up my microphone wires to?
If I'm not wrong the copper is the shield, red right blue left green white are for Mic and standard ground u can short those if you don't need a mic
Enjoyed the video & subscribed to your channel... Unfortunately, this won't work with the Samsung Galaxy S20. You would need a digital to analog converter (DAC) in either the headphones or adaptor, since Samsung decided to do their customers the favor of leaving out that essential part (in reference to audio signal through the USB-C port).
This works for the Samsung phones as it has a dac in the adaptor itself. Tested on several devices
@@sgaudiohive Okay, I'm glad it worked for you. I didn't have the same luck as you, & tested it on the S20, the Note9, & the A51. Maybe I'm using an incorrect Type-C male jack.
@@Crowley9393 well I have s20 fe and I use a bulky dac with otg from steelseries Gamedac the problem is to make it work the usb need to have an resistor between D+ and ground I'm not sure search it but raw usb c won't work I don't even know if you use the same dac as in the video otg cable was a diy from me and phone didn't recognize my steelseries on test without resistor I tried to ground the D+ with 10k resistor and it worked I have tried numerous devices since then and all of em work some might not correctly cause of drivers but they did work
Is it possible to do balanced termination without losing mic? And is it possible to run from an unbalanced 3.5mm source with a balanced 3.5mm cable?
A balanced output does not support a inline Mic function as a balanced output only suppliers audio out. For unbalanced 3.5mm source, not all players that I know of can take a 3.5mm balanced cable, although most of them can,
can you please make diy usb c to c for dac please
can you use the mic port for balanced instead of soldering it to the ground?
there's no balanced for USB c for now
nice
I have a old headphones can I get the headphone jack form it
You most probably cannot as they are molded in rubber
Is it possible to convert 3.5 to usb😅
Do I need a special board for this I know USB c is weird with host devices and such
You will need an audio interface board with dac
@@sgaudiohive thank you will go on eBay right away, is there a way to interface it with a USB A and then plug that into a otg cable just curious
sir, how to make a mix adapter for gopro camera type c to female 4pin aux.?
Hello, how do u dismantle the male usb c to see the chip and board? thank you
These are diy plugs they comes like this
I dont understand, since i need a DAC is there a certain one i need for my s21 or are they universal? As i understand the DAC is on the usb-c side. Does the DAC you used work on a s21?
Samsung fixed their compatibility issues in mid 2020, the newer phones should work with normal USB dacs and dongles now
@@sgaudiohive wow gotta love that response time, all the adapters i have tried just break over and over again. Is there any you could recommend? Might need something bought since my soldering skills are not that good
Unfortunately I don't have enough experience with adaptors as I mainly only use charging + usb + audio adaptors for my tablet. I hear the Apple usb c adaptors work great, but they will have sound cut out from a loose jack around 3-6 months in
@@sgaudiohive thanks regardless! Probably could've fit this in the last message but do you think that a diy one would last longer?
They should if done properly, but seeing that the aftermarket ones are relatively cheap, usually I will recommend people to buy those unless they are doing DIY already
Can it supported on all usb type c device
only on device with USB audio out. this cannot transfer data
Can it be connected to a simple type C charger head?
It cannot
@sgaudiohive If your charging cable have functionality to transfer data to a computer could it work then or do I have to buy a special male usbC connector for this?
Does it work for gopro?
It does not, the circuitry don't allow for mic input from this particular usb c
Make vedio on how convert 2.5mm ear into type c earphone🙂🙌
we already have 2 videos on that
I’m watching this at work so no audio and nearly died from the CC @3:20
lol
This man sounds like Steven he.
I had to Google him for abit! He speaks perfect English while I don't and probably will never in my lifetime
This is not work with norm type c port cus bord in type c doesn't have ic into it to Recognize the audio by phone its only for charging if want try this'll not work with you
I can't watch this video.. The music is too overpowering and overall just annoying in my opinion.
(Don't feel obligated to stop using the music. I'm just one person and I could be the outlier here. But it could be something worth considering for future videos ^^ )
Ah yes sorry for that, the music was the main complain, this was from 5-6months ago, things has changed since
@@sgaudiohive have you made another tutorial?
@@connoraragao867 it´s not so bad that he needs tp make a new one ;)
Hospital movie! Hawk, I won't to be a woman...
I hate the bgm
too many aa...aaa....aaa...
I wish I could change that, I made new scripted videos and it seemed really boring but at least I got rid of the uhms and ahs
That 90's trance sample in the background is super annoying and makes this an unbearable experience.
That said. It's annoying because i love MDMA and i want you to shut up so i can hear it.
seriously? "how to build a usb-c to 3.5mm adapter, Step 1, buy a usb-c audio adapter?"
It's buy an usb c audio jack with dac not adaptor
Not work 👎
