    • @milan.s2681
      @milan.s2681 Před 6 lety +6

pokiaľ viem zoženieš ju v Chicagu v slovenskom obchode, v Irsku v polských sklepoch. O Kanade neviem. Len netvrdte, že bryndzu mimo Sk nezoženiete. Je chránená patentom tým spôsobom, ž si ju žiadny národ nemôže privlastniť, ale výroba je voľná.

My wife is half Slovak on her mother's side. She was raised mostly by her grandmother who immigrated to the US in about 1910 and still spoke mostly Slovak in the 1980's. She remembers that when she was a little girl in grade school she had a pet duck. One day she came home from school and could not find her pet duck - until she saw a fully cooked duck on a tray in the dining room. She started to cry and asked if that was her duck (forgotten the name). Her grandmother said it was a different duck and did not know where her duck was "Maybe he ran away." She didn't buy it and refused to eat dinner so they gave her a little bit of Sunkove Rolky which she hates to this day. She remembers pigs feet but not fondly. I remember grandma making her own pasta and delicious soups.

you are amazing ! too sad no one can find true bryndza abroad, it is very similar to the greek feta cheese except its much stronger in taste and aroma.... but feta is known everywhere and bryndza nowhere :) just because greece is more famous as a country :) nabudúce skúste v kanade feta syr :) :)

Steph Bee I heard that it is possible to find what is called "bryndza" in the USA in Romanian stores (I know, dont ask me), but I also heard that its not bryndza (from slovaks 😂) that means it tastes noting like its supposed to

@@Mrkva22296 no it's taste like bryndza. Bryndza in romanian language mean cheese and it was romanian shepherd who bring art of doing it to Slovakia. I live in London and when I can not find our I just buy Romanian one and it's fine.

@@petervlcko4858 Slovenská byndza from Slovakia has been registered in the EU's Register of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications on 16 July 2008. Bryndza, a word borrowed from Romanian brânză ("cheese"), also used in various countries throughout Ukraine and the EU, due to its introduction by migrating Vlachs. "Slovenská bryndza", can be named only bryndza with a sheep milk content over a certain percentage. The ideal Slovak bryndza is 100% sheep milk. If bryndza has less sheep milk than the percentage (I dont wanna state how much because Im not sure about the number), than its simply named "bryndza". So in other countries, the recipe is the same, they just use a blend of cow and sheep milk or no sheep milk at all. The very typical bryndza from Slovakia consists of sheep milk, thats why this kind of bryndza has a protective stamp

@@Mrkva22296 I read Wikipedia also but I also remember that from history lessons from school. Yeah there should be differences between them but in taste are almost the same. I was alone surprised when I found out that, once I bought it from shops here in uk. They also make very similar sausages, bacon and other meats. But for sure what I felt in love is their fresh pastrima (not air dried) just seasoned lamb meat with rub of herbs, let alone in fridge over night, and grill it. They serve it with polenta and pressed garlic with little bit of yogurt. Maaaaan I telling you Romanian people know how to. Here is link for those meats, enjoy. 😁😋😛exploringromania.com/pastrami-recipe.html

interesting vid but there are lot of wrongs in it, Ive never seen anybody eat šunkové rolky on christmas, the only time I ate them or heard somebody ate them was at weddings and similiar events, parížsky šalát is usually ate by construction workers since you can buy it pretty much at any store and its super cheap, I got big family all across slovakia and again Ive never seen anybody eat parížsky šalát with the exception of construction workers and stuff, kapustnica was on point so Imma give you props for that, but making halušky without original bryndza should be illegal :( the rest of the vid was good tho.

I hope you do realize that Slovakia is country consisting of five million people and you are now being a little narrow minded trying to convince viewers of this video that some of the informations being told here are lies.
I highly disagree with you claiming that Parizsky salat is a food only eaten by construction workers. You might never seen anyone eat this but trust me this thing was the most popular dish in our high school cafeteria and my mom loved to buy it every time she went to a shop together with a bread roll aka rožok 😉
But I guess I have to agree with the last point. No wonder they were claiming it tastes like Mac and Cheese (when it doesn't. At all. In my opinion) But I do appreciate that girls did their best :)

    John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
    Mark 1.15
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

I'm 3rd generation Slovak-Canadian, we make our kapustnica white with smoked fish instead of sausage. Turns everyones cheeks red lol. It's almost a right of passage in our family.
Is that alcohol available in Canada anywhere?

Thanks for watching! I asked the two hosts from this video (Monika and Klaudia), and they said unfortunately they don't know of any stores in Canada that sell this alcohol :(
