I played in Berky's hometown game when he was younger. At the end of every game, he would always have every chip on the table. This is back in the mid 2000's/late 2000's. He was always ahead of the curb, and he is no fluke. A true natural.
Your comment is 100% made up bullshit. Fail.
Solve for broke
hi matt
to this day, this stream is still considered to be one of the best high stakes stream ever imo
huy thong bro go watch high stakes poker season 6
@@vincemok3441 "the best high stakes ever" here is within all the streams in LATB.
But btw, Gabe was the best no doubt. Entertainment wise, HSP is great, but the game has evolved to the point where I watched it and sometimes ask myself "WTF are they doing".
The HSP sessions with guy liberte, jamie gold and the one with "tom dwan debut" is the best of all.
huy thong I said season 6 only
The rest of the hsp are trash , dun bother watching
Watch Triton as Well
LOL announcing "Pocket Rockets," v funny
Where do they buy those cool caps with the peak at the back?
Always fun watching a pro vs a fish
how do they not post the biggest pot in LATB history from this same show
This a live cash game?
Great action
Interesting hands. Thank you
I wish the announcers could be quiet for 10 seconds after the showdown. I want to hear the players talk about the previous bands, not hear the obvious. No shit he made the call if his chips are in. Pointless observation.
is that Slo Flo Antonio at :38? lol
Once again did LATB spoil river decision in the very title.
God I just love it! Fcking love it!
gangsta play by Ryan Fee, was Matt snapping with AK?
When is solve for broke comming back?
I wondered if Matt went for river shove would Ryan still call? On the flop bet/reraised the turn checked called. Matt knew his KQo is no good.
can anyone explain why would he check back flop?
"let's listen in" other commentators, take notes
I'd also be very interested in hearing why Berky raised the flop. If he was turning his hand into a bluff, it would make some sense, I just don't know if KQ is quite bad enough to bluff or quite good enough to value raise. Berky is a cash game legend though so I'd love to hear his reasoning.
check raise in position is a good way to pot control. He stopped opponent from barreling huge turn and river bets. he decided how much to pay for 2 additional bets basically and checked river for show down
These guys are balanced as fuck. Wouldnt want to play against them.
ROOOOOOCKKEEEETS
How did Ryan fee go from 14k stack to the next hand 136k stack ???? lol wtf
Cool hands. If you put the whole game here people will watch, its high stakes with some big names
That’s nuts from the end of hand 1 to hand 2 Ryan made more than 100k back wow
He probably re-loaded and then doubled up off of GMan if you've seen that episode.
I like the way matt played. If matt just called on the flop in that pot, Ryan would polarize his hand with huge bet as he had done in that session. So, I like Matt's playing there. It's like controlling Ryan's aggression by Matt's raise on the flop.
Anyway, nice play by both.
dont explain it to these morons that think he played KQ like a fish bc he didnt take the most standard line and they cant understand why : )
The problem with your thinking is that when Matt raises and then bets turn he is folding out all of Ryan's bluffs, and only getting called by better hands. On a board as dry as this one you don't need to be protecting your equity against draws. If you just call call call you sometimes pick up bluffs (which Ryan can certainly have given how aggressive he is) and win more than you would have if you just raised flop and folded out Ryan's bluff and won the pot that way. So yes in this case Matt lost the same amount against Ryan's exact hand, but he would have won more if he just called down and Ryan had a bluff.
blocking raise. New concept.
It was a bluff
No the problem is Berkey’s raise allows Ryan to fold his bluffs and continue with his value hands, essentially giving him the ability to play perfect
Chase wldve made a full house with 8s full of 5s..🤗
On the second hand, I would have liked a check-raise from Ryan on the turn to set up for a lead bet on the river instead of check-calling and checking.
Old high stakes poker D Negs and those guys are value betting the river 80k plus with AA lol.
HAHAHAH GOTTEM.... bad reg vs BU reg
Christian who had pockets 8 's in the second hand should have called,
NIT ROLL!
Probably would have called much faster if he didn't have two clubs in his hand.
Chris Wilson having the ten is interesting in that it blocks T9s as well
The goat.. heAr that haters..
Christian folded 8/8 for the full house second hand 😢
They should do a special episode of 'Live At The Bike' featuring a $40 buy-in table. Raise? Reraise? Pocket 8s OOP? Shovveearrooniii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WayneGuerin60 I was thinking the same thing when I watched it live, but when I watched it back here it wasn’t a good spot to call pre with the 8s. Matt 3bet pre
Betting 20 thousand on the river with king high… WTF ?
How can ryan have 3% on the turn? Weren't they just going to chop with a 9?
Im guessing Brian and Andy arent playing here anymore?
why?
Could be many reasons but I noticed they were playing sooo tight. Playing on live Tv has its merit but also at the same time your play is released. Looks like they weren't getting much actions later on. I mean when you only play hands like aces and kings, who wants to play with you. Theres that and I saw couple videos of Brian laying down his big hands(winner) b/c he was playing way too conservative where he ended up lvling himself. Of course profit is the most important factor to these players but when you sign up to play live I think theres more to it than just winning another pot.
GARY Gwin yea I think so too but just not on live cam anymore. You would see their faces in these sessions occasionally but it was so long ago where they had a sizable pot to make it into a video of themselves. They lost their merit to play on live.
Brian is in Melbourne, Australia. I saw him playing. Theyll be back. especially Andy
I watched this stream and I realized something about Fee that I did not in the past - he's cocky.
Does Matt Berkey play hands like this normally? The AT hand was a bit questionable given that he blocks the flush draw, though the KQ hand was absolutely terrible, he didn't make the right decision on any street lol...sry but I don't know who pays for his website. If you watch his play on PAD there was some questionable plays as well
The AT is snap call river. He is way too high up in his range. If he checks back AT in that spot he needs to be calling down. He will have enough KK/QQ hands to fold so this is pretty much a must call although not loving life.
Ryan gave a huge tell of strength on the river. Looking away is a tell of huge strength
Dan Jendo u see him scratch his nose on the turn tho so obv he was weak man
Seth Bowman lol you don't play so you don't know
Lol if you were paying attention, he looks away when he has AA as well.. so Fee is balanced with his look away range lol
Exc3llenc3 ryan fee has so many holes in his live poker game
You're probably right, though it's interesting that he displayed the tell on the river and not preflop. By the river aces are just a bluff catcher and he can't be thrilled if Matt bets big after raising flop and betting turn.
Matt and his boyfriend are allowed at the same table? Couples at the table is shady. 😐
is everyone a millionaire on this table? what do many of the players do for a living?
golfmaniac007 it varies , in some cases yes but a lot of them are staked
I also really don't get Matt's rais with the KQ. AQ is the weakest value raose there, I guess. Or does anyone disagree?
Marvin Nash it’s a 3bet fold strategy where he doesn’t have many flats so his 3bet range becomes merged for the most part.
Against Fee’s open though, it’s probably breakeven at best as I don’t see him opening more than 20% there.
Calling the 4bet is terrible there though and definitely just an ego call- you pretty much never fully realise your equity even in position here with a hand like that, even AQo struggles here so...
played KQ like a total fish
his biggest mistake was the flop raise
Yeah no reason to raise the flop in my opinion, no back doors or anything, such a strong hand we should continue to allow Ryan to bluff if he is and only raise if we have actual strong value hands & bluffs,
hmm it really depends on how you define beast, winning 1 mill per session doesn't define where his skills stand, it could be a combination of variance and good table select.
Rice Cooker. He saved at least 15 K by raising the flop. Ryan bets at least 15 and 25 on turn and river. The raise was 9 and the turn was 15,600. Also if he hits the q or K, he bets the river... without the raise if Q or K come Ryan check calls. So in reality he maximized his win potential and minimized his loss. I also thought it was fishy at first, now I think it is very advanced.
While for this one particular hand he might have saved more money, the problem is by taking this line Berkey is forcing Ryan fee to have a much stronger range. Berkey is basically raising the flop for thin value vs a worst Q ( which KQ blocks).
Make money off stealing people content.... Play poker
Ryan only knows how to over bet pot
That's not 1-1; Ryan Fee won overall by the amount he won off him lol
It was only a couple K difference, so for those stakes basically even.
A10 cc gangster call really? If Ryan has a six so be it snap call. Nits overthink hands and make the game very dull then get called sick gangsters for making obvious call weird.
In the 2nd have. Should Ryan have bet the river? Matt only is going to bet if he believes he has the best hand. After ryan call a raised Flop bet n call the turn. It’s hard for Matt to bet the river right?
absolutely not. Matt raise on the flop is representing sets and if Ryan bets the river and Matt puts him all in he would put himself in a bad position. Ryan should check call the turn and river. If Matt moves all in on the river, Ryan probably would have to fold.

The other guy kind of answered your question but you want to check to allow your opponent the chance to bluff. If you bet it is hard to get called by worse.
I mean the second pot is 67k and I'm sure Berkey isn't pleased about losing...a tad outve line for Fee to say in that weird voice "pocket rockettssss" Isn't that kinda bad etiquette?
OMG these 2 players are the biggest fish in poker. The winning hand in both these pots was AA, which means they willing to stack off 100bb+ with a pair.
All you have to do against a GTO player is make two pair or better and they will donk off their whole stack to you
GTO is a total sham and anyone who buys into it is a gullible fool
John Smith LOL when’s the last time you had $150,000 in front of you? I can’t tell if this is a troll or you’re just actually an idiot
@@Nateinthewoods Last week
John Smith lmao i love you John smith i bet youre so epic and cool not super boringly generic!!!
Then plays kq off like a real fish, but then if it works out for him he's a genius right? Poker players and analysts are real hypocrites.
Terrible call in the first hand if you ask me, that bet is sooo polarizing and he's getting under 6/4 on a call, with just A10 and a blocker to the nut flush draw? After his missed flush draw he should be letting this go in my opinion. A lot of the combos the guys bluffing with are out. It's a good bluff and a bad call
It's polarizing because Berkey knows Fee knows he has a bluffcatcher and is playing the AKQ game (do your googles).
Standard call against a GTO player like Fee. Top of range. Plenty of other hands to fold.
Its obviously player dependent. Dont be silly
