Very Valuable
Replay and super valuable. I bought a big Schroth book, but it is so much easier hearing it explained and demonstrated the way you do. Thanks so much!!!

Thank you Kati for your wonderful videos. My name is Christiane, I am from Germany and I did the Schroth education last April. I enjoy your exercises very much. It is a nice review and you have wonderful ideas to treat patients with skolioses. Best wishes from Stuttgart Christiane 😊
Thanks so much Christiane!!!
Consider using "convex side of the curve" to be clearer
Hi! Would it be possible to add resistance to the leg lift to strengthen the lower part of the spine more?
really helpful, i have right thoracic left lumbar
Glad it helped!
Any advice for arthritic scoliosis, curve to the left?
When I do the hand on the stool method I can’t seem to push my shoulder back and push my back forward it feels like I’m going deeper into my curve
Same me too, I don't know why like that
I just found you on CZcams. I am an adult with a R thoracic/L lumbar curve. I assume these exercises will help relieve discomfort and hopefully prevent further alignment issues at this point?
Are you pushing your rt shoulder blade down and forward?
Is this to derotate the rib bump on the rt?
This is lt thoracic scoliosis and right lumber scoliosis
hello! Could it be that when I inhale my back hurts when I expand? Or should I not feel pain?
Hi Kate. .you are a wonderful teacher! Well done! ..thank you very much! Most of my pain derives from the hyperlumbar lordosis associated with this S shaped scoliosis....do you have any suggestions or a video I could watch? Once again thank you for an excellent instructional video.
You’re very welcome!!! When it comes to pain with scoliosis i always start with the basics. Learn schroth breathing for expansion and also elongation of the spine. Hope that helps!

hi ma'am , i am 23 yrs old, and i am diagnosed to have mild scoliosis on right thoracic? how can i apply your method?? pls i need to cure this back in you normal excersise
very valuable
Thanks for tuning in!
Will this work on a 17 year old with mild scoliosis?
I have a c shape thoracolumbar left convex, and a small lumbar curve to the right. Side lying on the left with pads under my convexity. Does that sound right? That’s what my Schroth PT has me doing.
Yep pads under the convexity!
Mine is same curve as yours but i have 4 curve meaning right tharocic left lumber but my hip shift to right side[hip shift to tharocic convex) so am i need to elevate my legs to shift my hip to left side before padding lumber area
Can u reply pls
Hi, will this exercise still work for me, am 56 years old?
I have my daughter has c, curvature, but these execises it works Allihammdllah❤
Which way do you lay if you have right lower lumber then a left thoracic
Lay in the right side. In general always lay on the side of the lumbar curve and support it with bean bags. Then gravity will help along the thoracic curve. I hope that helps!
Any advice for adults with late onset scoliosis? It started three years ago when I was 64. I can’t find anything that offers improvement. Thank you!
Try schroth! However, the goal it to stop the progression of scoliosis from getting worse not necessarily curve improvement.
Awesome content, what about if the cervical spine has a curvature towards the left side as well?
Good question. The curve in the c-spine is called a d-modifier. You would want to make sure you keep an eye on your left arm positioning to make sure you’re not moving the shoulder block upward and making that cervical curve worse. Not any difference for this side lying exercise though. Hope that helps!
Would you reverse it if you have a left side reversed situation.
@@anitarasch1460 yes, lay in the opposite side!
Great question!
Thank you for the info
Can these exercises be used for adults?
yes! You can perform these as an adult, however since the adult spine is less flexible you won't necessarily see reduction in scoliosis curve degree. But these exercises can be used to improve posture, symmetry, and stop scoliosis from getting worse.
when i touch my shoulder to push it down and forward, it feels like my hump is just pushing more out. it doesn’t feel like it’s coming forward, is it supposed to feel like that?
I’d have to do a full evaluation for your scoliosis to give you a good answer! Do you have a schroth PT in your area?
Dear Katie , is it possible to use Schroth therapy during pregnansy ?
Yes!
@@schrothboss Thank you very much !
Can I send you a pic of my S curve so I know what type it is do I can do correct exercises please?
Feel free to DM me either here, FB, or IG and I can see if I can help!
Where do you get the bean bags?
Happysew.com use the code “SCHROTHBOSS” for 15% off!!!
Im not positive this is the curve of my scoliosis, however I do know its an S curve convexed to the left in the lumbar region. How likely is it that I could have negative reactions to these exercises?
@@TwistedPsilo always consult with a schroth PT to determine with exercises are safe for you. I do virtual assessments if you are in need! Email me katie@schrothboss.com
@@schrothbossOk thank you, are inversion tables helpful with scoliosis for general elongation?
Isn't it necessary to lift the left shoulder in thoracic right lumbar left scoliosis? You lift your right shoulder
The shoulder is tractioning, not lifting or shrugging!
Please l want exercices for scoliosis C
Glad you found this valuable! I’ll be doing some content on “c” shaped curves soon!
Hello, but when we expand the ribs the shoulders go up...they shrug
That’s chest breathing, you want to try and breathe with the diaphragm!
Replay ❤
live or replay am not sure
No worries!

"Lie," not "lay." We LIE down. We LIE on our left side.
Thank you for the feedback!
Both are grammatically correct, check yourself
Language varies in different places - in America, they say lay. Relax.
@@emmashannon5191 : I am in America.
Wow she’s giving us free exs and you’re giving a grammar lesson she didn’t ask for.

Awesome! What part of the video did you learn the most from?
The positioning of the bean bags, I now really understand how they are used. Your explanation was very clear and easy to understand. Thank you!
