Tom, tell me something projecting my pumpkins, i still see the grey light in the background of the projector, how to make just the pumpkins showing without the clarity light of the screen
Props to you on creating the video clip, Tom. Was it a big effort to get the faces properly positioned in the video to match your physical layout? Or did do a rough layout in the video and then position the physical pumpkins to match the projection? Side-to-side layout is enough to move the physical pumpkins to fit. But I'm wondering how you worked out the vertical spacing.
Ok, here is how its done.....But i wished i had this talent to do it. First, you need your canvas stationary and able to position it the same. then you trace the pumpkins into an application such as paint. then you adobe to create the masks for each pumpkin. make a video file done. This can not be sold to you unless you have the same size pumpkins and in the same spots.
I use 3 projectors and none of them are fancy, all are a different brand. I bought them all off of Ebay and they are old used school projectors. The best one does 1024 but otherwise they run at 800x600. The basic animation I created doesn't really require anything more.
@@robertlandman7598 take 3 Beamer, 2 or 3 usb HDMI Adapters, install QLCplus to syncronize All, additionaly you can control some DMX RGB light, fogger and so on :-). Make all your pumkingsanimation by your self. Use Blender to create individual characters. :-)
I created the pumpkin animation myself. I made it about 7 years back in Adobe Flash when it was a common tool, unlike today. The animation isn't really difficult but rather just time consuming. These are just faces so I all I did was create the basic phonemes and then sync them frame by frame to the music.
@@cltanner2010 you can use real or plastic/foam pumpkins (uncarved). The magic of the effect is using a digital projector to project an image of the faces on to the carefully positioned pumpkins. (If you pointed the projector at a dark wall, you'd see the same effect - except no pumpkins - just eyes/noses/mouths)
It's a projector that projects onto the pumpkins. This person used 3 projectors and bought the animation online and used his own pumpkins.. If their package deal doesn't cost at least 1k for 3 projectors and the animation usb dongle then it is a SCAM.
You are correct that I used 3 projectors but the animation wasn't purchased, I made it. No where near 1k, about $50 a piece for used school projectors on Ebay and time.
Just Amazing!! Love this song on the pumpkins - so entertaining! You nailed it!
