Pretty amazing they could pull of the transition from 1980s to 1990s while remaining true to form.
This was probably state of the art digital video compositing in 1989. Now it looks like an elementary school student's wacky experiment that they threw together in an afternoon. Still a great song though.

It gives you goosebumps because it is referring to the garden of Eden when Satan said to Eve if you eat of this fruit it will open your eyes and you shall become like gods. It’s so hard to get across to people how much secular music can be so enjoyable but the force behind it Comes from a very dark place I always suggest reading the lyrics. The 80s was a different breed for music. The production was so intricate and detailed and even better than most modern music these days.
Not just only the music production, the videos were amazing too, of course, they were doing the best they can with the technology at that moment, but the vision, the ideas, and most important the liberty to express not worring about people judging

This is an incredibly sophisticated song from the 1980s. There are so few songs that take you on an emotional rollercoaster. This one is without doubt a masterpiece.

1989, I just turned 25, after 2 years my relationship came to an unhappy ending, I was heartbroken and travelled to PARIS for a month to get my head clear again and on the train I listened to this great album, I felt better when I arrived in Paris and had a BLAST THERE. Best time of my life 😆
