It's very rare for an artist to have such a unique sound you can't place them in any genre. Love this girl and her music
she, or at least this song, has instrumental bossa nova roots mixed with a slight classical sound. just because she doesn’t match mainstream pop, doesn’t mean you can’t identify the genre her sound her music falls into. (this is not hate i’m sorry i’m just labelling her sound so you can find other musicians you like !!!)
the most helpful genre name i can provide is modern jazz pop. although it doesnt quite cover the influences laufey in particular has (much more bossa and classical as the commentor above mentioned) i think for finding artists it could help! people like eloise, rocco, grentperez, ava madison might be a good place to start!

To be honest I’m pretty disappointed that I didn’t discover this artist sooner. Literally yesterday I got an ad on Spotify about this song and because I enjoy Jazz, I had to search up Laufey. Now this song and several others are added to my playlist. I hope to see more great music in the future!
