@@crlfoshofzz XP is currently bugged and can be collected under the Trident killer. And yes, you can have it run into hoppers instead.
In my gold farm, the trident killer is surrounded with glass, but the fire piggies keep phasing through it and escaping, any solution?
@@DaRealMuffinMan6 it's a new bedrock bug. Maybe surround it by blocks but it's something Mojang has to fix. :/
@@xRsBuiltx I replaced some of the glass blocks with solid blocks and it reduced the issue but didn't fully fix it. Thanks for the tutorial though, it works great on my realm
The trap door above the observer does not open and close like in your video any idea how to fix it?

Nice design! I’m using it for my gold farm but I am occasionally getting hit by zombie pigmen through the blocks when standing in the corner. I can stand further away, but then I can’t pick up the xp and it starts lagging. Any suggestions?
Yes, You dont want to stand in the corner, I would add blocks all the way around and fill the corners in. The best place to get XP will be either directly behind the piston while standing on the trap door (Or replace this with an AFK block) Or directly under the trident killer. Just make sure you dont get so close to the bottom that you pull the trident out from under the trident killer as you can pick it up through the hoppers.
I built this and its absolutely amazing only downside is the speed the dispenser spits at i wish there was a way for u to add 2 of them i have this hooked up to 2 different gold farms both 8 portals right next to eachother they basically work as one and they just cant keep up with how many items drop
I'm glad that you like it! The discharge rate will always seem to be the issue with all the non stackables due to the rate that they come in. With my octofarm on the project bedrock server, I use two of these side by side. It's easy to hook them up and it works really well. @@rastasociety1040 no, a dispenser will flow a maximum of 2.5 hopper speed or 7 items per second when pushed to its max.

@@rastasociety1040 the PS5 will surely have more processing power. But it all depends on what you can afford and if it's worth it to you.
I'm having a problem with this build where the tridents don't hit the creepers any more. If I stop/start it a few times, it can get working again. Any ideas why that might be?
If you unload the chunk with it running, then it can cause this to happen. Make sure you don't leave the area with it running.
Gonna give this a go as the normal ones don't keep up with my portal ticking gold farm.

Early game on my daughters world so I'm grinding out farms to give her the resources she needs. Need to go hunting drowned with forks. Got a zombie spawner based iron farm and trading hall with impaling V though so should be good. It's a quad portal ticking gold farm. Gonna see if I can smelt all the swords but not sure if I'll manage to process the quick enough.
Looks good so far. Crunching piggys like a good un. Furnaces keeping up too.
I have two TK's about 12 blocks between them. Doesn't look like I can collect the XP from both from the mid position. Any ideas.? I might just put a catalyst under one and collect only from the other.
@@garypratt1858 best idea would be to make a loop water stream. Or a minecart that goes back and forth.
I built this.... I don't know what's gong on but it's slow AF.
Now I haven't put the hoppers underneath but they shouldn't have any effect on the timing of the pistons..

@@sarchlalaith8836 I would rewatch the video and make sure everything is built accordingly.
The hoppers at the bottom are the clock the controls the pulse timing. They are very important for this particular trident killer as they are not part of the collection system.

@@matthewjones991 put a cactus in front of an iron golem where they break down to be small enough to fall into the Trident killer.

@@ericferguson4286 I would, only because one has a hard time dealing with all of the non-stackable items.
Can you make a tutorial on a fast item sorter? I want to build this but I have a gold farm with 16 portals so the sorter keeps getting clogged up
@@LijdnaOk you have to use a ice stream sorting system. A hopper sorter won't cut it. Make multiple of the same sorter to handle the flow of items. So for gravel, you can make 3-4 sorters in line that will pick up gravel. Make 3-4 etc for Blackstone, etc.

@@pandasareoreos it depends but In most cases from my testing, no. 4 tridents enchanted with impaling 5 can handle a ton of mobs.
Hiya, trident killer works a charm however my gold farm is so quick and too many items are being produced, is there anyway to add another dropper in to make to transport quicker and i would love to know a super fast storage system aswell beacuse mine can't keep up with the amount of items and then i start to lag.
@@jaquise227 depending on the gold farm you can either add a second Trident killer, or I would look up my high volume trident killer design.

works rlly great but i have such a big pigman farm, it still doesnt kill all of the pigman that fast
It should next to instantly kill the piglin. Are you using impaling 5 and flooding the pistons? I use one on a quad piglin farm without an issue. My 8 portal farm I use two on to deal with all the swords.

Yes. Make sure it's impaling 5. Also make sure you have atleast 4 tridents inside of the farm with impaling 5. It doesn't completely break unloading it,
But it can make it less efficient if the pistons fire incorrectly.

Has anyone noticed a change to trident killers since the 1.19.50 update. The kill chambers are not keeping up like they used to. I think pistons have been slowed down with the smoother movement bug fix they released in this update. Anyone else having similar issues?
hello! It does not seem that it has been slowed down from my testing. I checked the change log, Pistons still take the exact same time to extend and contract. The change was to the animation and how smoothly it was displayed. You might check if you possibly picked up a trident by accident or one disappeared? You can always add a few more tridents to improve the speed of the trident killer.
@@xRsBuiltx I believe that now tridents may only hit one enemy per movement (which can happen at most 10 times per second), which should slow the kill rate to at most 10 mobs / second.
Adding extra tridents does not speed up some trident killers because since the tridents merge to have the same hitbox, they target the same entity every movement.
@@marmaladetoast2431 I have not noticed any decrease in killing power, as I have four of these under a 16 portal gold farm. There has been nothing in the change logs about Tridents, the only thing that effects these in a negative way is this ongoing Trident drop bug which might be what you guys are running into. Make sure you still have all tridents in the chamber and that the chamber is fully water logged with impaling V on all tridents.
Does it work for silverfish? There is a new XP farm in 1.21 and I need a better trident killer to deal large quantities

The Killing works absolutely amazing for me but the items keep filling up the hoppers so I wanted to try to get it running with 2 droppers but kinda didnt got it working well
So can you maybe make a tutorial to it ?

What farm do you have this connected to? It sounds to me like you don't have your hopper minecart centered over all 4 hoppers, and all items are going into one hopper line, Backing up the system. Make sure there is two fence post and that the hopper minecart is pushed up against them both and haven't moved.
I meant the hopper minecart is getting filled up but I think its really complicated to get it faster...
Maybe it would work if you use 2 or more hopper minecarts driving in a circle and then kinda dirstribute the items but I really dont know how😂
@@punkyggo7 What farm do you have this connected to? This Trident killer will handle 7 items per second going through it. Which is a pretty crazy about. I would follow the tutorial again and make sure you didnt miss anything, Unless you have this on a huge gold farm or guardian farm. Then you might need to add a 2nd trident killer.

Collect it from under the Trident killer.. because.. well.. bedrock.. it broke again in recent updates.

@@LijdnaOk what kind of farm is it? You'll most likely need to add 2 or more Trident killers. Before adding a second Trident killer, make sure you have the Trident killer water logged. Using 4 tridents with impaling 5 on all 4 of them for maximum kill rates.

@@mudslingerr the trapdoor would be facing the wrong way. Make sure it's place on the bottom of the block instead of the top so it hinges at the bottom.

How do I get the XP out of this machine
Xp has been very finicky since the update. You might be able to get it from the top and move around and find the sweet spot. If not, you can usually go under the Trident killer and gather it. Weird I know, but bugrock..
@FloppyBeef-cq1qw Id recommend against the glass panes because smaller mobs such as the baby piglins can fall down through them and make their way into the collection area. One of my earlier trident killers used this design. If you are wanting XP out of this specific one, id try to find the sweet spot under it and you should be able to collect it just fine. Due to recent updates its become increasingly more buggy to collect XP. If you need to collect XP from a remote location, Id recommend checking out my remote trident killer.
@FloppyBeef-cq1qw Baby piglins can pass through the spaces in glass panes, as their hitboxes are 0.3 x 0.3. I've tried waterlooging glass panes with walls underneath and that seems to work.

@@varietyplays3033 this is most likely a new bug introduced into bedrock. Please make sure that the Trident killer is chunk aligned properly because that can lead to unintended behavior.
Is it important that trident must be of full health?
No, the tridents can be any health because they don't take damage from hitting mobs. Only being thrown by the player. So they will only take one damage every time the player throws them.

Absolutely! You can see this at 13:52 testing with guardians.

@@Dav10109 depending on how many portals your guardian farm has. The Trident killer cant use impaling V in the nether because water can't be in the nether. I do have a quad Trident killer designed for things like a nether transfer gold farm.
Where to afk for xp
Since several updates ago, the XP seems to be broken. AFK under the Trident killer to get XP.

@@isaacjohnson5739 ive been noticing the xp can be collected through the hoppers best. havent tried this specific trident killer yet, mine is very barebones. if you throw the tridents at the pistons instead of the ground they seem to stay in the trident killer. you can then sit underneath the hoppers to collect. i imagine the extra layer with hopper minecart and fences might complicate things but i feel there's still a sweet spot there somewhere.
Can we use trident killer in a iron farm ?
Technically, you could. However there are many reasons why you shouldnt. There really is no benefit to it. Looting does not work with iron golem, And you cant make them spawn any faster because there is a cool down timer of 30 seconds before the next iron golem is spawned on bedrock edition. As long as the iron golems are killed by the camp fires/lava within 30 seconds of them spawning then the iron farm will be running at peak efficiency. (Bedrock edition) Furthermore, using a player thrown trident can affect your popularity amongst villagers and make it go down.
