- The Annual Civil War held at Hednesford Raceway where the North and South of England put there best drivers forward in 3 different classes; micro bangers, 2 litre bangers and unlimited bangers.
This year saw a very close finish with the last race deciding the outcome... resulting in a win for the SOUTH!
Brilliant show of respect from the southen driver at 17:58 after that unfortunate drivers door hit. Good to see that even with how competitive the civil war is, that all the drivers still care about eachother. Thats what bangers is all about.
we have demo derbys here in new zealand, but its nothing like this.... this is absolute class. hats off to the ladies and gents taking part in it. respect.

I saw a video of a banger meeting in the UK somewhere. Unbelievably someone entered a 1972 Holden Kingsway Station Wagon!

I don't know where they get them from! That being said I do know of a 1974 Chrysler Charger here in the UK. It hasn't moved in decades but is easily seen from a main road.
I love watching banger racing, used to go to Plough lane Wimbledon during the 80's I wouldn't have the balls to be a driver though!
My mk1 granada ended it's life at smallfield track but I've still got the ghia grill !
I used to watch Nürburgring Touristenfahrten to get my fill of "ordinary" cars crashing, but this is much better 😂👌
I wish we had these banger races here in the US. They have to be a blast to see in person.

Look brilliant day. Up the south can't beat the smell of oil transmission fuel clutch with raw of these machines dieing screaming smoking to last oh how I wish had Santry track was still so many happy memories when was younger. Love to bring lad to watch experience racing for every day folk the buzz.👍☘🇮🇪

great vid keep up the good work. Was in the main stand,love the banger only events. You missed the fire in one of the finals. These drivers are mega when you think of the effort they put in with the cars and the show they put on.

It seems like the drivers in these banger races try not to "t-bone" other cars, especially on the driver's side.

Shots to the drivers doors arnt allowed. Shots to passenger side door are allowed but not if the car is flush against the fence.

Not just north of England drivers. I believe some Scottish drivers were there too

Ron Mote sorry no, that’s what banger racing is all about, watching the action on track then getting up close to the wrecks in the pits
Ron Son half the fun is seeing the cars and paint in the pits and the wrecks after the race..
North trying playing the bully game from the start but ended up fucking up loads of there cars towards the end south start playing the Bully’s worked out well for them
Should have took the dsu shot at end out not nice to see again
True, my personal rule is if the driver requires to be cut out of the car, I won't include the clip. However, this driver got out under his own steam
